Before painting firstly its important to learn to mix colors perfectly for the shades we need, he made so many shades from just 5 colors truely a genius

Noo you don't want to first learn to perfectly mix colors because that's too stressful. Just do what you can lol and get that paint on your canvas! I always alter colors for tutorials I follow too because I like to paint the colors that I am feeling the day that I'm painting. Today has been blue, purple, magenta, gold! This painting could totally be done under those colors 🤷♀️
Love how you lay out your color mixes. Wish you would give a tutorial on how you know what you need for colors before you start.
from what I've seen, he simply takes all the primary colours along with black and white, then just mixes the colours until he gets the shade he wants. When it comes to skies, artists tend to add in a slight hint of red in the blue. Overall, it depends solely on your preferences. With practice and more time handling colours, it becomes easier to know what you'll need.

Are you referring to what colors you need "to mix" to achieve the color needed or what colors "needed" for the overall scene?
@@joypinturra6151 Watching him lay out his color mixes, one has to wonder how he knows what colors he needs where when he mixes them. I don't really expect an explanation, as I know it must be almost automatic as well as instinctual.

I have same question..... If no use retarder, I worry to paint too hurry
Having the small batch of color together not spread out...the top may dry but under is still wet...also just dampen brush only no need to mix water...

I use acrylic paints on heavy watercolor paper from Walmart. It works great for beginners. I do not want to waste a canvas and store a lot of lousy canvases. Then when I have a really nice one on heavy watercolor paper I repaint it eventually again. I have a photo album of all the ones that I do not put in a cheap dollar store frame. The framed ones hang on the wall in my room where I paint as samples. They look great for my practice pieces. If they are really not to my liking I can just run it through the paper shredder! No storage of lousy paintings.

Question: How do you paint with Acrylic paint and not worry about the paint drying on you??
its not problem if you change your mindset and think more about layered approach of painting.
That's the answer for applying the paint on canvas, but how does he keep the paint fresh on the palette where he's mixing the colors, not sure myself, there are probably some mediums that keep the paint from drying fast, also you can water spray them from time to time it probably helps.
for me i make the create the same color in small increments
But no exceed in water ‘cos don’t dry faster and dilute the acrylic an lost shine or dull the effect you are looking…. Spray distante of the canvas few thimes
