I appreciate the comparison vid. I’ve ordered the Wilson combat grip b4 seeing this as the original grip on my M18 doesn’t allow me to get a firm grip without rubbing my knuckle. I think everyone’s hand is different.
I got my Wilson grip a year ago for my full size 40 and it's been great. I'm getting the grip and flat trigger for my 9mm this week. Wish they'd build one for the 45 frame. I sent an email to Wilson and they have no plans to do a 45 which is a surprise knowing how much of a 45 guy Bill Wilson is.

I have tried 5 P320 grip modules. My Sig P320 is the original compact version, same as the M18. I 1st tried the X-Compact, flush with the subcompact slide the 3.6”. I didn’t really liked it, preferred the original in a small size. I sold the X-Compact module. I also sold the original style in the medium size. I wanted the longer grip, like the carry & full size offer, but like the compact size the 3.9” slide and barrel. I now tried the X-grip in the carry length, the original in a small size, the Wilson Combat, and also tried a sub-combat size. I didn’t like the sub-compact at all, only saved about 1/3” lost 3 rounds to 12. Sold this. The X-Carry module felt good. The original M18 style in a small actually felt a little better The Wilson Combat felt Awesome! So I wound up moving to the carry 17 round grip length, so I have an M18 or can use the Wilson Combat which is thinner. If you're a 1911 guy, Wilson Combat. If you like Glocks better, Polymer80 (but then again you could have just bought a 1911 or a Glock...). I will say though, the fact that the stock Sig grips can take the wide boi Sig magwells does give them a decent edge in reloading. The Wilson integrated magwell is perfectly fine but maybe not as permissive in situations where fine motor control might be inhibited by adrenaline. Still, beats the magwell-less editions. I personally really like the ergonomics on the Wilson grip module as well. Even with the stock mag release, its easy to thumb without shifting grip. And the grip texture is rough where I'm applying hand pressure while being a lot smoother on the sides which might press against clothing or skin while carrying. I really appreciate that attention to detail. My biggest gripe about it is simply that the tungsten weight kits are sold out everywhere.

The Wilson combat grip can actually serve the same purpose as the heavier grip for competition. Wilson combat sells metal weight inserts for the grips to increase the weight
Memphis Beech - Hm good to know. Another way to look at it is with the weights in the 320 Wilson Combat grip module, you’ll already be a step ahead of guys shooting Glock 34’s because that’s not an option for a lot of guys. On top of that I guess you could also put in a heavier spring/guide rod like guys are already doing too. That being said if I was to buy one single grip module in this video it would have to be the Wilson combat. Plus it’s by far the sexiest one out of the bunch. If you want a heavy gun for competition over anything else then a polymer frame probably isn’t the best option in the first place
Bottom line : Weight on a pistol matters. Major complaint against Polymer. Spen your money on the heaviest polymer pistol you can find and better yet, go to metal pistols. I’m having trouble doing a thumbs forward grip with the Wilson combat grip, I keep engaging the slide lock, so I started crossing my thumbs, I just rest my right thumb in the cut out
Interesting. I had the same problem on a couple of guns. Try resting your RH thumb near the knuckle of the LH thumb, away from the slide lock. That’s what worked for me on Berettas.
The Grayguns grip module looks pretty aggressive, are the pictures a little deceiving in that aspect? I have very soft hands and many grip textures tear them up. I can deal with it but when shooting a lot I will get blisters. For example if I go out for a whole day of shooting with my P80 Glock frame I’ll for sure have blisters by the end of the day, so I decided to slightly sand down my EDC P80 frame. I have been interested in swapping out my 320 compact’s grip module for one with better ergonomics but since I really can’t “try before I buy” grip modules I’m a bit hesitant.
@@getfragged7051 the grayguns is definitely a lot less aggressive then the Wilson combat. I also have soft hands and not a big fan of aggressive texture. Thus why I love the GG cause it’s perfect balance all around. I definitely recommend GG I own 3GG modules
@@MemphisBeech Glad to give you the news, then. Also, just FYI - but the screw-on magwell for the X-Carry/Compact grips is metal as well and adds a little more weight to those grips. I have not. I’ll have to look into it. Thanks!
I run Grayguns Xcarry grip for duty and Grayguns Xcompact for my edc. The Wilson combat module texture was too aggressive for my liking.
I like what GrayGuns is doing for Sig. Good stuff they're putting out.
Have you heard of/seen the ACE 320 yet? All aluminum frame for the P320...for $370. Supposedly makes the P320 feel like a P229.
I need to take a look at that.
@@MemphisBeech Glad to give you the news, then. Also, just FYI - but the screw-on magwell for the X-Carry/Compact grips is metal as well and adds a little more weight to those grips. I always assumed it would be plastic. Also, Amend2 is coming out with a P365XL-sized grip for the P320 'soonish': gunmagwarehouse.com/blog/amend2-p320-frame/
How is that CED 7000 shot timer holding up?
Is the Wilson good for smaller hands? I purchased a Sig p320 x-series compact and the grip is too large for my hands. I am not getting good accuracy due to poor grip. Every shot I need to readjust my grip. I need something smaller
That grip module appears to mimic the 1911 grip as much as possible. It really favors smaller hands.
I bought the Wilson Combat full size for my M17 in black. Really like the feel of it. Thinking about buying the Tungsten weight kit, just don't know how much 1.5 ounces will help. Thanks for the video! Also what holstered are you using? You may have mentioned it, but I didn't catch it. Is it IWB or OWB? I'm looking to appendix carry my M17
Watch my video on Grip Weights.
Also, I’m using JMCustomKydex.com. Looking at ~$60, and shipped in about a week.
@@MemphisBeech Will do man. Thanks!
Damn dude I wish I had known you were doing this!!! We make Billet Aluminum Grips for the P320 and P365!!!!!!!
Really?! Damn I love this country! 🇺🇸
I’m gonna take a look. Thanks for the tip! 👨🏾💻

IcarusPrecision
Looks like YT killed that function. I went to IcarusPrecision.com and started a chat. I’m not sure if that will get you, though.
Where be this place to release freedom seeds
This is the Memphis Sports Shooting Association. Great folks here.
I think I'm going with the WC grip also, but with the weights. I wish I could use the tungsten infused lower but it's too blocky for my hand and I can't reach the mag release.
Me too.
Will all these fit the holster with the stock module?
Yes.
What mag holster/holder were you using?
JM Custom Kydex.
Shit Dude, I have big hands. You have huge hands 😱👊🏻
Does the p80 except the Sig grip weights?
I’m not sure.
The Wilson combat has it's own grip weights, and the various x series grips have a space in them for the sig tungsten weight. I'm considering getting one for my x compact.
