jim bradley the 80s was a completely different world and a much better world then we live in today and it's sad to see the crap that this world has become
+Joe Bigs well said today's world and society absolutely is garbage nothing but political agenda PC bullshit and everything is ghetto garbage trash the movies suck the music sucks and tv is god awful
Dukie wilkos I watch it every Halloween. And once a month. I'm almost 30 and showed it to a bunch of 18 year olds in my film school who've never seen it and it scared the hell outta them
This sequence proves you do not need a big budget so much as style and creativity. The music sounds like it was made by a guy with a keyboard and the demons look like they were printed on transparencies and pulled across the background but it works very well.
Chico Edge The guy with a keyboard line, you aren't far off. The instrument used was likely a synthesizer. It's commonly used in the genre called Outrun or Synthwave nowadays. Synthpop was the genre's name back in the 80's.
This theme and intro are perfect for setting the crucially 80's cheesy fun of the rest of the film. I wasn't around in the 80's but this kind of thing is my absolute favorite (and the reason I make the films and music I make).
I watched a few of your short films and for having close to zero budget I'm impressed. Crazy, especially in contrast with most Director's who simply make the final call in all facets like music, lighting & editing (U are doing all 3 + Directing). & Most people love this Era because SO much love was put into these films and the 80's Horror Landscape reflects it... O N I Dig the Fuk out of that Grindhouse-esk filter effect you use... Keep It Up
Thanks for checking my films out, I really appreciate your comment! Yes, I have to handle everything myself and just make the best of it with no money and very limited resources, use whatever friends are around to act. It's pretty limiting and tough but the challenge is a lot of fun. :)
You can tell just by watching for 5 minutes you truly love the Horror Genre & it reflects in your work, That is always a recipe for success. & I'm also an aspiring film maker tho I'm trying to get a documentary going On a more serious topic here In Jersey but I have something like 800-900 Horror films, I just actually bought the Limited Edition Creepshow 2 Box set & Tenebrae steelbook from synapse films so I love this Genre to...
Ooh, that's great stuff. And yes! I became a horror fanatic (primarily 70s/80s) as a teen back in 2007 and started creating films in that style. And thanks again, that's really kind of you to say! I'd hope someday I could be creating similar things on a larger scale.
I was a kid born in the '90s but I remember back on basic cable (none of that internet and google shit) especially during the month of October this would play a lot and I watched it...this intro gave me NIGHTMARES as a kid...but for some reason to this day that made me like it even more.
EPIC movie that doesn't get the credibility it deserves! Although it has a fanbase! My favourite horror movie of the 80s besides the Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween franchises
I saw this little flick in the theater when I was 17 with a friend. The introduction stuck out in my head for 30 years because of the animation which reminds me of Disney 's 'Fantasia ', specifically the 'Night on Bald Mountain ' sequence when the ghosts respond to Chernobog's command & rise out of the graveyard, in a manner similar to the demons in this opening sequence.
the definative halloween movie in my opinion although i just seen this unlike most horror movies it really sticks in your head. The demons in this movie are just mind bending and for a 1980s horror film like this it was uncommon due to effects. They worked really hard on the effects for that time frame this is not just any ordanairy B movie it had alot of interesting charectors and might very well be the first of its kind imagine going to the theater in 1988 seeing this first of its kind movie
The remake intro fucking suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks!
2 different types of horror movies. Both are 2 of my all time favorite and I honestly couldn't pick. This Is the best halloween horror of all time imo ( way better than all the "Halloween" movies ) , while The Lost Boys is the best vampire movie ever made.
The cast in this movie had a lot of chemistry. It really seemed like they were having a great time. The laughing was genuine.
still one of my all time fave horror movie intro themes.
absolute gem.
same , only other intros i can immediately think of on par with this off the top are Creepshow 2 , Suspiria , and Dawn of the Dead.
kudos to the ones who realized this
back when the intros were done so well that made you really wanted to watch the movie and could very well be trailers of them
One of the best movies to watch on a Halloween Night. This intro just screams Halloween, and I love every minute of it!
Might be the greatest opening sequence in the history of cinema
I met Amelia. She was absolutely lovely and is absolutely a horror icon.
80's never die!!!!!!!
Like The Goonies :)
+Dan Warren (Forgottenretroworlds79) Goonies never say Die lol

Im So Glad I Was Born In The 80s I Was Born In The Good Years Instead Of These Sucky Ones
Not too many horror movies have animated intros.
should be watched every Halloween! 🎃
Dukie wilkos I watch it every Halloween. And once a month. I'm almost 30 and showed it to a bunch of 18 year olds in my film school who've never seen it and it scared the hell outta them
Ryan Meade Haha that's awesome! Way to show it to the next gen!🎃
I typically watch it several times a year. Same with the sequels and remakes. Just can't wait the 12 months.
Fact
It is by me 🎃🎃😈😈😂

Chico Edge It is great! Quite straightforward but very effective. Reminded me of 'Night on Bald Mountain ' in Disney's 'Fantasia '.
Yo frfr
that is cool cause you're already immerged into the movie atmosphere, and it's sad there's no other intros like that

MOONBEAR STARTIGER, awesome!! I'm an aspiring filmmaker myself, & I would love to see some of your short films.
That's a f*cking good 1988 song. It's awakening.

Love this intro! I remember the first time I heard it. I was so drawn into it. Great movie. My number 1 all time favorite horror movie!
Seriously a killer intro no pun intended
EPIC movie that doesn't get the credibility it deserves! Although it has a fanbase! My favourite horror movie of the 80s besides the Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween franchises
shawn1428 Amen to that! A very original horror film!
#Legendary Intro theme to the best Halloween movie of all time. Long live Rodger!
Awesome intro and opening. I miss movie credits in the beginning.
Possibly best intro ever. Great!
The movie was good but the opening credits were spectacular. Made of awesome really.

A Disney animator did that opening sequence and she said she wanted to pay tribute to Night on Bald Mountain.
@@Brooklyn_Ann Wow! I did not know that.

Yes amazing entrance to this amazing movie.
When that first synth sound hits, I have a feeling I will love it. And I do... Ugh why didn't I know about this movie sooner
The remake intro fucking suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks!
They don't do stuff like this anymore! Thats the problem...
This made my whole 8th grade year man. And it completely outlined my past and current preferences in artwork
Very awesome, very 80s
Ufffff lo mejor!!!! Terror de culto, por siempre los 80's!!!!
Wow I just lost my wife & children & im sitting here in the darkness & I swear this music fits the theme lol.
Cartoon openings+Synth Music=creative intro
Highly under rated gem.
This theme is more Outrun than Outrun.
Dimi Kaye it’s pretty much a carbon copy of I’ll Wait by Van Halen
This needs to become a telltale game with this art style
This opening gave me nightmares as a kid
Da cover fuc me up 🤣😂
I guess it means it worked
Lol when a saw this movie, I could not sleep like for an all week, well i had 7 years old xD
Sounds like it was composed on a SNES.
one of my all time favorite movies ever I absolutely love it such a cult classic a perfect Halloween movie 🎃 👻 🔪
Nothing like 80s soundtracks!
The best part of the movie...and yes, I include the Linnea Quigley scenes.
This theme sounds like a sega genesis game
Best comment
Could of easily been used in Splatterhouse or Castelvania
Wow I am listening to this through Bluetooth on my truck and loving it. LOL
such a great Horror movie, thumbs way up!
I found the bluray 2 disc set at Vintage Stock. The Bluray is amazing and the artwork for the case and title is reversible.
This song is awesome!!!
Always loved this.

Wonder if this flick was an influence on the SPLATTERHOUSE video game ?
This Vs lost boyz who wins?
2 different types of horror movies. Both are 2 of my all time favorite and I honestly couldn't pick.
