If you're not on Yelp, you're not going to be successful. I hate to say it, but that's the reality.
Hey everyone. I'm Neil Patel, and today I'm going to share with you how to get lots of Yelp reviews fast.
Tip 1
The first thing you need to know is that you can't break their terms and services or their policies. If you do, you could get kicked out of Yelp, and that's not a good thing.
So if you tell everyone, "hey go write a fantastic review on Yelp," you're probably gonna get in trouble. It's just a question of when.
So, instead, you could tell people, "hey, go check us out on Yelp."
By just saying go check us out on Yelp, if they want to, they will.
If they don't, they won't.
Tip 2 Place a Yelp badge on your site.
So when people go to your website to look at your menu or the services that you're providing, they can get more information.
Moreover, they can then go back, and then leave a rating and a review on Yelp. So make sure you place that badge on your site.
Tip 3
Have the sticker or the sign on your storefront.
You seem them when you go into tons and tons of restaurants. By doing that people know you're on Yelp and if they like what you have to serve they're going to give you a good review. If they don't, you're probably gonna get a really crappy review.
Tip 4
The fourth tip I have for you is include your Yelp listing within your email signature. Everyone uses email; I don't care if you're young or you're older. Email is still one of the enormous backbones of the internet. That's how communication goes down.
So every time you send out an email, why not link out to your Yelp profile?
Tip 5
The fifth tip I have for you is to share your fantastic reviews on the social web. You have to be on Facebook, Twitter, maybe even LinkedIn or Instagram, whatever social network you're on share your amazing Yelp reviews.
Not only will it get you more business, but more people will know that you're on Yelp, and if they like what you have to offer, they're also more likely to leave good reviews.
Last but not least, if you do well on Yelp, you're going to be given a sticker that says, "people love us on Yelp" and share that.
Put that on your storefront. It will help drive more business.
And as other people see it they're much more likely to also give an excellent review and rating on Yelp. Follow those things, those tactics, and you'll get more amazing reviews on Yelp.

I have a online tutoring business. Do you recommend me using Yelp. I also have a private school that is going to open in the fall. Do you think I should have the school on Yelp as well. As I mentioned, the school is not yet functioning so I won't have actual reviews from the school but I do have folks that know me from my tutoring business. The tutoring business is local and online and the school in local. Thanks

Hey Neil, just got off the phone with Yelp they do not want you to tell your customers to check you out on Yelp. The lady just told me that that is the same as soliciting for reviews.
It is still a good strategy and will help you get more reviews. As long as you don't beg them for positive reviews and let them write what they feel.
What's a good international site for overseas companies?
I am not positive if there is a Yelp alternative that is international...

Tips on what to do if you have multiple google my business pages...which have been left with fake 1 star reviews that have no text. Google just tell you to reply to them yet they show up in search results prominently & google say you cannot opt out of using google my business.
Just reply with an offer to contact your business to resolve the issue. That's the best you can do. Also, encourage real customers to leave reviews. Those fake reviews will float to the bottom.
Neil Patel We've responded calling them out as fake in a polite professional manner. What's your opinion on Google my business? Valuable for SEO but flawed in that they allow reviews without any text or explanation.
Like you said, it's a double-edged sword. However, I think it's important for any local business (and most businesses, really). The idea is to incentivize your customers to post real reviews and push fake or unhelpful reviews to the bottom.

I'm not aware of any free options. I think Instazood is one of the cheapest.
I dissagree with the beginning yelp statement. We have been in business for 32 years. We have hundreds of reviews on other sites, and we do not have a yelp page. Yelp is old and outdated (2022)

I was gonna ask if you could make a video explain how to invest in stocks because I was doing alot of research and I might have an idea of what product is going to sell alot on the market in 2018 and I would like to Invest in that but I don't have proper knowledge of it

I don’t think these tips will work. Getting people to come to your Yelp page prior to using your service isn’t the same thing as getting them to write reviews afterwards. Yelp also screens reviews and hide them if they were written by yelpers with no previous reviews even if they are legitimate. They take a lot of money from business owners but don’t support them at all. All they want is to get you to increase your budget so THEY can make money.
I'm sorry you don't feel they will work, friend. I will say I've done these techniques and they do work for the right businesses!
Yelp, as a business, has some of the worst reviews on Yelp. Yelp is constantly deleting negative reviews of their business. Yelp cannot keep up deleting it's own negative reviews. Wonder how many man hours Yelp spends?

They have definitely lost credibility over time. It is still very helpful to be on Yelp though.
