    Can’t express how much you’ve inspired me in the past year as I was finishing nursing school. As a Latino, as a NY’er, as the son of a single mother, a lot of your story felt so real. I can’t thank you enough for the generous advice you have imparted onto me, but to nurses around the world.

    Monica and Jason this was great, and I'm so inspired by your journey. As a single Black woman, who's a former travel nurse (RN for 14 years) from the South, who recently relocated to CA for better nursing opportunity and ended up landing a job as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator via Incredible Health from the advice you've given on this channel. I just want to say thank you! This channel has helped to develop my career mindset and to develop strategies in scaling my life. May your channel become uber successful in 2024 and beyond!

    I am an LPN and pursuing my RN at a community college while working full time. It has been a struggle sometimes, and I wanted to give up at times. I started taking nursing prerequisites in 2015 while working full-time, then my marriage fell apart, had to put schooling on hold then I got a divorced, moved out of California to Vegas, then Covid hit, and so on and so forth. Now that I'm back in school, I am determined to finish what I started, but sometimes, it's not that easy. I saw your inspiring story, which made me see the light at the end of a tunnel. Thank you for sharing.

    I am finishing my last semester in nursing school on the East Coast and can't wait to return home to CA to work. I miss it so much, and doing my clinicals in poorly staffed Maryland and D.C hospitals has been so eye-opening (in a bad way), after having worked in California hospitals for many years. Education and information is a great way to empower people into making the best decisions for themselves, and as a current CNA and future nurse, only living an hour from Sac (Chico) Yoir channel has provided me with tons of knowledge in hour to succeed as a nurse and keep my finances in order for a better future myself. Much appreciated!

    Hi, it's Joe. You guys are the best! I mean it! Like every time I watch all your videos, I've always learned something coz it's very informative and inspiring. I like how you guys told us your story through this medium and it is something I would keep on thinking whenever I feel down or depressed. I am on my first step of becoming a nurse as I just received a copy of letter of acceptance for the healthcare assistant program from a private college here in Vancouver Island (I'm from Canada but I'm a Filipino like Monica) and I'm planning to bridge this program into nursing in the future. I had an accountancy degree and been working in the accounting field for almost a decade now and I am ready to a new adventure. Again, thank you so much for sharing your story, and kudos to you both!!!

    New York City "patients can spend hours if not days in the emergency department before being admitted" and you alone had 30 patients at the same time. New York City hospitals sound worse than hospitals in the Philippines. When I went to a provincial ER in the Philippines, we had several nurses taking care of us. Our American insurance does not work there so we were surprised our total bill was only $200 cheap. Uwi na po ako.

      Thanks so much! I love and I hate making videos like this. I love being able to show you all our life through our eyes and through these edits but the more praise these videos get, the harder it means I have to work on future videos to keep the same level of feedback.

      @@NursesToRiches respectfully in the last 2 videos alone, from vulnerability of you and Monica to the production quality...dude you have been going absolutely NUTS with these vids. I remember finding this channel my first semester of nursing school amd now I have 8 months of ER experience. And im STILLLLLLL tuned in! Being a voice that inspires a generation to change how they live is gonna be filled with a lot of hardships but everytime you share your story or another person's it tells me, "yeah I can do this too!" Yall weren't the only ones struggling I was homeless for 2 years and had a...side biz(🌲🌲) for 5 years JUST to pay for my car, pre-reqs, and books to get into nursing school. All of this to day I hope the channel becomes the biggest thing out there, and even if not you still inspire me everyday as minority myself to not take anything lying down and NEVER stop reaching!

As a new grad RN here in the Philippines who grew up in poverty, I also hope to fulfill my USRN dreams real soon so that I can provide myself and my family with a better life. Looking forward to meeting you guys in person! God Bless.

      @@lisar.2549 I know they are a big channel in this niche but I feel like they should have more views and subs look at the quality of the videos 😍😍😍 And I know they have a bigger audience than this just think about all the nurses in the US, and abroad that want to be in the US or people in nursing school, CNAs etc. This channel is very informative and the content is very "easy to watch" and really appealing. I am a Healthcare assistant in the UK and I don't even know how I found it but I felt so blessed ever since this information changed my life 🙏😭🥳🥳🥳

    Oooh, wow, thank you for sharing your story this motivates me to keep going. Tonight was my second night of going solo after orientation as a new grad nurse OMG I am 😢 I think I need to go somewhere nurses are compensated fairly for their hardwork. Congrats 👏🏼 Jason and Monic I hope one day I can be accomplished like you guys. How much experience did you need to have to land those jobs at Kaiser?

    • @NursesToRiches
      @NursesToRiches  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! Monica and I are actually going tk talk about how long it took her to get a job when we moved here. It was not easy that's for sure. We applied for hundreds of jobs for her (probably 300+). She had 5 interviews and got 3 job offers. Took 3 months for her and she had 3 years of experience. But everyone's experience will be different. I got a job at Sutter in less than 2 weeks. And two other job offers at dignity within 1 week. I was workiñ at Sutter for 8 months while I applied to Kaiser and didn't get a job offer from them until the 8th month. I had 4 years of experience when they hired me. But I have coworkers that were hired as new grads. So it all varies.

    I always wanted to be a Nurse since the age of 5. When I graduated high school back in 93 My mom said she would not sign her name for Student loan or anything for me to be a Nurse because NURSES don’t make $$. Mind you I just wanted to be a Nurse. So she said I needed to work my way up to a Nurse CNA, LPN then Nurse. Which I thought was stupid cause I hate school😂. So I’m like let me just go to school and do it. Mind You I wasn’t an A student at all C average at best. Any who ended up having a child 10 months later having twins. So I went and got my CNA and long story short 😂😂 20yrs later I still have my CNA license . Life hit me and I was married and raising 6 children. Divorced got remarried and still have 6 children and now two twin Grandbabies. Although I’ll be 50 in a few years that passion of Nursing never left me…. But the thought of going to school got me like 😢😢😢😮😮 . I would want to atleast become an LPN but I don’t know it’s so expensive and I’m not taking out a loan. I did see where I can go to another state for 18gs but….. idk
