When I was filming I had no idea this wasn't classic WoW and alot of people have mentioned how they find classic to be alot better. If this does well and people want to see me play Classic then I'll make another video!
Classic is easier storywise and players are less gung ho about being the best. Retail (which you were playing) has the entry zone which helps with learning controls however you seem to already know the controls from other games. Retail is good if you want to collect things like mounts or appearances but if you do higher end content players can be less welcoming (though you can of course find good groups). Classic does not tell you where to go for quests meaning you have to read the quest text unless you get an addon through curseforge called Questie. There is Classic Season of Discovery which is fairly popular currently where it is Classic with some added twists/new content.
Classic is more "old school". It's more difficult to play since a lot of the improvements are left out. Doesn't hurt to go check it out though and see what you think.
Nah, if you're going to continue playing the game, you're much better off continuing where you left off. The up-to-date version of the game ("Retail WoW") is a much better experience for new players to WoW. "Classic WoW" is a separate game client, and in that version you play as the game was 15-20 years ago, without the majority of the DLCs/expansions and other changes/improvements. It might be worth checking that out at a later point, but don't get discouraged to continue where you left off because people here are saying they prefer different versions of the game.
It's fair if you want to try it, but it's hard to judge early on - imo retail's lvling is not that great, but i do not enjoy classic either, retail has so many things to do by the time u hit max lvl u have so many roads to choose from, some ppl just play RP, Collecting... hence why i prefer it, especially bcz of the combat style, again up to u pick and choose where to invest ur time! anws am gonna watch these videos if u make more 👀- also the game is overwhelming (idt i would've recommended u start with rogue for example) but hey have a go at it if u need help just ask ppl.
It's great to see your first impressions and how much you're enjoying the game! Beware: WoW players love to flood newcomers with backseat advice, tips on "right" way to do everything, the addons and years' worth of background lore you supposedly "need"-but I think the most fun is to play at your own pace, discovering things on your own. Lok'tar ogar!
whenever someone tries retail for the first time, people jump in to say that the person should forget about retail and play only classic play whatever you want!!
SO TRUE!!... I've been a healer since Vanilla WoW and I've mained a resto shammy since BC. I have never used addons for healing and when people find out they call me every name in the book despite complimenting my healing prior to that. That was really fun to watch! I’ve been playing for 20 years and have forgotten what it feels like to go through a new game experience. Very cute reactions as well! ❤ don’t stop, keep going!
Alliance player here! So fun to see someone experience it for the first time. Also, I’m pretty sure that if you get the last DLC you automatically get all the previous ones too. Nice to see Horde perspective for a change. Will be subscribing in hopes you post more of playing wow!
There is an "auto loot" feature in the menus you can toggle on that way when you click a defeated enemy it will loot automatically. When you kill multiple enemies it will loot all of them at once.
Very entertaining 😁, your commentary was great! I didn't think I was going to watch a hour fifteen minute video but I watched the whole thing. Been playing WOW for 19 years was nice seeing your reactions. Great video.
Great fun to watch 😊 I wonder if you have as much fun with Classic... I'm about to find out! I've tried to play every race/class over the years. My very first char was a Gnome rogue, but I grew frustrated with how easily he died (this was wayyyy back just before the first expansion was released), so I made a Dwarf hunter and she has pretty much been my main ever since! So I'll call that race/class combo my favorite. I do love to replay some of the later race-specific starter areas, though. Worgen, Death Knight, & Demon Hunter are probably my faves atm.
10:40 that bike is a reward for owning like, all the Leveling Heirlooms available once you hit max level once. It's slower than most mounts but faster than walking, it's great cause you're being Chauffeured around by a driver lol.
Excited to see where this goes! Just found your channel and subbed. Always nice to see new blood come into the game. I personally like retail better than classic because I played classic when it was new. It's harder to get into retail as a fresh player but way more to do and see. My current fav race/class is Worgen Guardian Druid. 🤘
My main is also a blood elf rouge and I have been playing since 2006... I have been inactive for a few years because my old computer finally died so I am saving up to get a new one but I will definitely be back on as soon as I can... I am glad you are having fun and once you get to the higher levels the game gets more expansive and way more fun
Hunter is my go-to class for sure :D, my first main is a Blood Elf Hunter whom I made in 2009 :D. I have ofc tried all classes by now but Hunter is the one I ALWAYS come back to (I have made several over the years) :D. Arcane Mage is also a lot of fun imo. I enjoy playing Rogue quite a bit too (the stealth part is the best imo). This was a super nice and fun video to watch, I have subscribed and looking forward to seeing more content from you!
This is a VERY popular thing to do these days and I LOVE seeing people playing the game for the first time! Hope you had a good time and that it wasn't too confusing!
11:09 another pro tip for beginners. PICK UP EVERYTHING, it all vendors and you'll need the gold. Also, Interface Options has a way to activate Auto loot, so u just click and move on. There's also an option that as a beginner is great to have, (i think) and that's an auto equip upgrades option, which will auto equip any Item level increase in any gear slot, cause stats mean nothing till max level (unless ur trying to put an intellect cloak on an agility character). And I say I think, because that could've been an Addon option i had at one point lol.
Just a tip item level has no baring on weither or not you can use or equip piece of gear. That cloak you got was item lvl 33 yes but you can equip it. Items that require a higher level to use will say "requires level 20" or whatever level you need to be to use it. For example my max level (level 70) warrior has pieces of gear equipped that range from item level 476 to 502. Item level is just a way to roughly see if an item is better then something you already have equipped (though its not always better)
this was really fun to watch, you dont see a lot of new wow players anymore since its been out for so long. i used to watch videos similar to this back in 2010-2012, and playing the classic expansion from back then lmao ironic timing
I miss my first run back in 2004-2011 absolute best experience of my entire life. Exploring teldrasill for the first time learning the classes and finding hidden stuff words cant describe how blown away i was by darnassus the first time! By the end of that stretch i had killed illidan, the lich king and deathwing ...ahh OG wow 👌
I love watching people playing world of warcraft for the first time becaus ethis game means alot to me and its always fun to see what others think about it!
Was an Orc from the start but switched to Blood Elf Destruction Warlock during BC and stayed my main ever since. Great to see new players giving it a try.
Hi good luck. I came back after maybe a dozen years away. Different realm, no guild, have no clue to what's going on from not really remembering the basics to being totally confused over the changes. I was initially an undead warlock maxed at lvl 85 with titles and all that ( still a old n less than average player ). Now my primary city is gone or lost in time ???? - there are no lvl distinctions in the geography which changes leveling dramatically - and you can more or less go anywhere not to mention that the Worgans are still Alliance ( about the biggest mistake WOW made ). So I guess I'm on retail and I did install classic and such but found out you cannot shift between, So I have my lock and about 4 other dps toons on a beginner's retail server ??? and my new dps fire mage blood elf on at least a " High " population retail server. Oh well - just hit lvl 20 and dont know if I'm ready to start another toon on a classic ( cataclysm ) server. In the beginning take your time choosing ---- wouldn't hurt to spend an evening catching videos with explanations. Beats being stuck or coughing up coin later to move about.. Not to mention restarting a toon sucks. It was a long haul to 85 back then - they change it all and I have no clue as to what is the current max. Good luck - was a great game first time around and not to shabby now.
Welcome to the WOW family enjoy your journey as I am sure you will have a ton of fun as a beginner, so much to learn and so much to do lol! For The Horde!
The blurb in the spec choice screen doesn't mention the one best part about Outlaw spec: grapple. Toss a grapple 40 yds, forward or up, then zoooop! - you're there. You can, with patience, work you way up many steep mountains and walls, so long as there are spots level enough to stand on within range. If you also have Goblin Glider Kits (buy or make if you go engineering), you can glide a good distance if you are high up. Even better, you can go stealth *while gliding*!
My main is Holy Priest. I love healing, and they're kind of the quintessential healer. Been playing priest healer since the third expansion, but playing since vanilla.
More! I have a lot of Worgen, mostly because their starting zone (Gilneas) was so dark and Goth. I don't think they start there anymore... Vulpera are cute to die for; I have two of those. I have three classes I like most, primarily because I die less often playing them. Demon Hunter -- especially in tank spec. I don't tank, but their attacks also heal them, so you can solo big nasty stuff a lot easier. Also, Vengence spec (tank) has a targeted leap with two charges, so you can often jump then jump again to get up and over stuff that would otherwise take a lot of riding to get around, if not have flying yet. I was able to get to the top of the highest mountain in Kul Tiras (Battle for Azeroth) before flying was available there. Took quite a while, but felt like quite the accomplishment. Plus, Bliz put an 'easter egg' up there. Note that Dragonflight is the first expansion that gave you flying almost immediately; all the rest of them had flying locked behind a long set of achievements that basically meant you played the entire expansion's main quest line to the end, plus saw everything on foot first. " We spent years making all this landscape, fucking LOOK at it!!!" is my suspicion. Favs: Warlock -- I always go affliction, a spec that depends mostly on damage-over-time attacks. Most of them are instant-cast, and do NOT require you to be facing whatever you are fighting,so you can keep attacking even as you run. You also get an assortment of pets, one of which acts as your own personal tank. Warlocks have attacks that heal them. Feral Druid -- they work a lot like rogues, the main difference being their stealth spell (as cats) has a longer cooldown. Spend 5 combo points on a finishing move, and you get a free, instant-cast heal. Swat x5, slice!, heal. Rince & repeat until target is dead. Druids, in flight form, can gather herbs without dropping that form, so can herb quite a bit faster than anyone else. Herbs are needed by scribes to grind for ink pigments, and alchemists to make flasks, phials, and potions. If you subscribe to get full access, you can make game gold by selling herbs on the auction house. The same goes for mining, although druids cannot mine as a bird. Still faster, as switching between Night (or Blood) Elf form and flight form is instant. Druids can also skin in flight form, although you will need dead stuff to skin. If you don't kill the beasts yourself, some quests require players to kill a lot of whatever, which will be skinnable if looted fully. Vulture mode!! Sadly, although the game does offer a number of different looks for flight form, vulture is not one of them.
I've played wow for a long time and tried lots of classes but my favorite is still holy priest, I love healing when I play in a group! I normally play draenei, blood elves or humans. It's great to see your first impression of the game!
For melee I have come to love the Paladin. Love the gear and the golden flashiness of the moves. Ranged I jump around, but I usually lean toward Warlock; always found their mechanics fun.
I have around 50 characters in WoW. Half Alliance and half Horde. But I strictly play the game solo. I think I enjoy playing my Mages the most because they get the ability to teleport around the game which ends up being extremely useful. I also have a huge soft spot for Hunters, just because I like them thematically. And the Blood Elves are my favorite. 😊 I thoroughly enjoyed watching you discover the different aspects of the game, and seeing things from Hearthstone "in the flesh." Very heartwarming.
Awesome to see someone getting into WoW for the first time! Also, I was today year's old when I learned you can auto run and move the camera with just holding the mouse scroll wheel.🤣
Rouge Blood Elf.. Nice ! My 2nd character was a Rogue Blood Elf. Please tell me you have a part 2 of this Series. Keep up the great content and as always... Don't Forget The Sunwell !
Human Retribution Paladin since 2006, no longer active player, but I enjoy wathcing some WoW from time to time... I had such a good time watching you discovering the World of Warcraft for very first time. Keep up with the good work!
My 2 most played characters are my Blood Elf Paladin and Vulpera Shaman. Paladin/Blood Elves are usually my go to, but I used to tank a lot in the past, but the community is very toxic towards tanks/healers, which just stopped me from wanting to tank for anyone who isn't my friend.
Oh my gosh! Always so fun watching new players play for the first time! :D Your reactions are the cutest! I enjoyed watching you play so much! Welcome to WoW! Gosh. I wish I could help you with any questions, but I wouldn't know how we could get a hold of each other haha. Well actually.. Duuuh me as a vet I should know Btag helps! Haha. You can add my Btag if you'd like and you can ask me anything when I'm online ^_^ It's.. Well hold up, then maybe a lot of randos would add me. xD
Ive been playing WoW on and off since 2005 and Ive always loved druids but they're extremely complex and I've come to the realization that I just suck at them... My main class/race I play is a Dwarf Warrior and I also play hunters time to time. Warrior is my favorite though. I have been a long time Alliance player, but I sometimes play Horde. I play on the Moonguard server... You will hear about Moonguard at some point if you stick with WoW I'm sure 😂🤣 Anyway, welcome to Azeroth!!!
Glad to see new blood playing this game so welcome to wow don’t let the toxic part of the community get to you so enjoy your grand adventure and hope to see more videos of your adventures if you ever decided to sub to wow :D
Blood Elf and Undead for sure. Rogue and mage are like the hardest classes to level. I prefer doing that on tank/healer or hunter. Good luck with the class choice!
Lol, well as a brand new player at start of MOP I went Horde and Lock. Before I even knew who or what the Alliance even was a Worgen with a skull plate steps into my just unlocked RoF, , PvP activates and he kills me, for one solid hour. Didn't know what to do and had to log out until he went away. Today my Belf Mistweaver is at around 350,000 Honour kills and kills Worgen on sight if possible.
Altough I have a ton of different toons, my favorite, goto, is a Paladin. They are sort of like a Swiss Army Knife in that they can fight and heal themselves. Easier configuation to solo with.
How can u be so cute and funny, i hope u continue playing, wow can be an amazing adventure and u gonna find a lot of murlocs haha

You picked a difficult class to start ;) The rogue works with a combo point system and its a very feeble class to play alone... though it can be a meatgrinder in dungeons and raids... Maybe a better pick would have been a Frost Mage (it has a lot of snares and slows which give it survivability) or a Warlock or Hutner which can use pets (demons or animals) to take the damage while you deal it.
Rogues tend to die a lot until they get the heal flask and the vanish spell, for when death beckons and the flask is still on cooldown. Hunters... those seem to be the class most often needing a rez in a dungeon, at least from what I've seen. Probably their threat generation is designed to be high, with the expectation that they will use that spell that transfers the threat to the tank. So, if they don't use that spell, they get to be a tank instead. For ease of play, I think feral druids are both easy and very survivable, once you get the talents up that give you an instant, free heal every 5 combo points. Basically just 4 attacks most of the time.

@@sikhandtakerakhuvar9678 well yes but I was talking about leveling... leveling with a hunter is a breeze... with the rogue, soloing an elite is complicated, since you cannot vanish (reset)... so once your evasion is gone, you have to be fucking with stuns continously and if the elite has a bigh health pool, you'll eventually run out of cds to throw and die ;( (or vanish and start again)
You need to hit the big guys at the end while the others distract them from behind, that way they can't hit you with their cleaver attacks that do tons of damage :D
FOR THE ALLIANCE!! Eventually you will try both sides for the story. As for the class, you'll want to try them all because they're all unique in their own way. Each race has different bonuses for Pve(player vs environment and PVP(Player vs Player). I loved Night Elves and their starting zone (Alliance), good thing Chromie exists(Won't spoil). Monks Class can be played on both Horde and Alliance and they are Kung Fu Panadas, but Pandas Race can be any class. Who didn't love running around as a big giant Panda? I played WoW for an extremely long time and i tried every class. Hunters are among easiest to play and grind with because they have companions that hold the front line while you Pew Pew in the back. Watching your video made me miss the game a little. I'd go back just to try out something new. Good luck on your adventures on the planet Azeroth.
Welcome to the Horde! I'd love to see more of this from you. Classic is also good, if you want to check that out, but this version of the game is good in its own way. They're basically two different games at this point. But if you like collecting stuff, this is the version for you, Classic doesn't have the collections tab or things like that. Usually when I play games, I tend to go melee or archery. But in WoW I find melee to be a bit annoying. I main an Elemental Shaman, even if it's not very good in the meta lol.
Almost been here since the launch of WoW. For the Alliance! But it’s all good, haha. I’d have to go with Draenei Shaman (Elemental spec.) as that is simply my eternal main character. But l get around. Fun video! ;)
My main for the last few expansions has been a zandalari monk. I'd definitely suggest trying monk out if you like rogue. It has a more casual playstyle imo
Some classes can rez dead players; some can even do it while combat is still going on (brez). Druids, Priests, and Paladins all have a rez spell. It's always nice to be able to throw a rez to a dead player.
you have a character from before, since you could choose between toturial island or blood elf starting zone? as well as the allied races being visible to you in character creation :p am i right?
Pro tip if you want to continue playing. Razor 16-button mouse, Then Keybinding. I see you click like i used to, figured you would just starting. But eventually if you continue playing on you will want that mouse, and keybinds, there's just too much to keep up with to be clicking. Now given I did get high ratings in PVP clicking, and blew a lot of peoples minds because they would lose duels to me when they use Keybinds. But Playing rogue you want keybinds for sure, you'll learn :D
To see someone clicking in the skills is funny. Makes me remember of myself. Is not always we see someone picking rogues as first choice. So as a main rogue, cheers!
Now its time to play wow burning crusade the first time -somewhat harder that retail wow but would not take more than a hour to leave starting zone often less
My first try of wow was retail and it was big mistake, it wasnt for me but when classic released and my friends "forced" me to play it i was great, maybe someday i try retail again.
I love when people play wow for the first time and their reactions to seeing the cities - it's so fun. I wouldn't mind seeing more.
Yep. Later is only grind.
Never will I forget my first re-entry as a Death Knight...even my guild collegues would line up to throw stuff :')
It so nice seeing new people, experience the game for the first time, hope you are enjoying it.

Very well said, the best way to play is whatever you find the most fun doing.

Well, it is actually a better tutorial, but I love Quel'thalas :c
I was on the edge of my seat with dis one 😂 i was so disappointed
Would have been nice to watch a old school Blood Elf playthrough.

I have mained a Blood Elf Hunter
since I started playing at the End of Cata!!! Love this Game!!!
Ouh wow this is so relaxing thanks for the video. Exactly what i needet.❤
Favs:
Warlock -- I always go affliction, a spec that depends mostly on damage-over-time attacks.
Night Elf Rogue back in 2004. Been hooked ever since. Mostly play Classic WoW right now.
Always a joy to see new people get into the game! Especially when they're wise enough to pick the superior faction :D
true
Your channel is so lovely I hope it grows bigger and bigger
Watching you play retail makes me wanna play it aswell :D Your commentary is so good and fun to listen to!
For melee I have come to love the Paladin. Love the gear and the golden flashiness of the moves. Ranged I jump around, but I usually lean toward Warlock; always found their mechanics fun.
My main character that I play is a Balance Druid . It’s a spell caster class with a wide variety of versatile spells .
love your wow streams, keep it going!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching you discover the different aspects of the game, and seeing things from Hearthstone "in the flesh." Very heartwarming.
no matter what starting zone you are in, it usually takes less than 10 min until you see your first murloc xD
Awesome to see someone getting into WoW for the first time! Also, I was today year's old when I learned you can auto run and move the camera with just holding the mouse scroll wheel.🤣
Ahahah a few people mentioned that they didn’t know about the mouse scroll wheel thing, tbh I just mash buttons until it feels right 🤣
Rouge Blood Elf..
Always nice to see new people experience the World of Warcraft for the first time.
Damn this is such an awesome video! Love it ! how have i not discovered you earlier ?!?! ugghh...xDD Welcome to the World of Warcraft !
The kick ability is an interrupt. Use it when your target is casting a spell to disrupt the cast. Not sure if you figured it out later.
Well hold up, then maybe a lot of randos would add me. xD
The face she made after getting mauled by zombies was priceless!!!
You will hear about Moonguard at some point if you stick with WoW I'm sure 😂🤣
Anyway, welcome to Azeroth!!!
Glad to see new blood playing this game so welcome to wow don’t let the toxic part of the community get to you so enjoy your grand adventure and hope to see more videos of your adventures if you ever decided to sub to wow :D
Glad to have you as a member of the Horde!
If you have any questions about key-binding or anything just ask. =)
My favorite race is Troll and my favorite class is Druid, watched the whole thing, hope you continue playing Retail WoW! :)
Blood Elf and Undead for sure. Rogue and mage are like the hardest classes to level. I prefer doing that on tank/healer or hunter. Good luck with the class choice!
My favorite for The Alliance has got to be Worgen and for The Horde a Blood Elf. But,I've come to love the Demon Hunter too.
That was so funny to watch. in Positiv way. Plz Keep on Playing! If u got questions i would love to guide you:)
Another great vid. You'll have flown past 1000 subs by the end of the week 🙂
When I played WoW I went human hunter.
my favorite race and class combo is Blood Elf Death Knight tbh,
FOR THE HORDEEEEEEEEEEEEE, we need more videos
Fun video! ;)
The Horde IS very cool. =-)
His name was Varok Saurfang!
My main for the last few expansions has been a zandalari monk. I'd definitely suggest trying monk out if you like rogue. It has a more casual playstyle imo
Great time watching ppl experience my fave game enjoy beautiful 😅
Priest. Versatile and fun to play. In love with the Shadows
great video, i think im going to buy a laptop and play this soon!
Some classes can rez dead players; some can even do it while combat is still going on (brez). Druids, Priests, and Paladins all have a rez spell. It's always nice to be able to throw a rez to a dead player.
Love Seeing the variety content :D
Cool Video my friend! The Roges is your preffer Class right ? or do you play others?
you have a character from before, since you could choose between toturial island or blood elf starting zone? as well as the allied races being visible to you in character creation :p am i right?
Yeah I found that my baby self had like 2 other characters lvl 3 from a few years ago lol
It's a great thing I read comments first. I'm not going to watch a click bait video from a dishonest RUclipsr.
@@normanmondy I feel as if playing it once many years ago when I was a child doesn’t really count as playing it properly but rock on 🤘🏻
@WandaWillow you are dishonest and I sincerely hope you get demonetized.
@@WandaWillow Thanks for clarifying! Hope to see more of your journey in WoW😍
If you want the full story, you should play the RTS, Warcraft 3 for the story. Or, go further back, to the original classics, Warcraft 1 & 2!
Or just watch Nobbel
i love wow !!! a lot of ppl aren't friendly to new players, but overlook and ignore the hardcode players!! and have fun hopefully!
Enjoyed watching this. Will we see more WoW videos other than the WoW classic? Here's hoping!
This wasn't WoW classic ;) as classic doesn't have bloodelf or deathknight's etc.
not gonna lie. start off of the video i was expecting ya to be a new alliance player but you surprised me. LUL welcome to the horde!!!
As a degenerate WoW player, this was refreshing and wholesome to watch. Enjoyed the content!
did not knew this XD, after waving i went of to the next quest XD did not knew when dancing the NPC said not to dance like one hahahah
I love the video i hope see u a direct in the purple plataform about wow very soon 😊
watching you play for the first time was fun
Blood Elf Death Knight is what I have played for the last 15 years XD
It's a pretty fun game. I been playing for 18 years
My first try of wow was retail and it was big mistake, it wasnt for me but when classic released and my friends "forced" me to play it i was great, maybe someday i try retail again.
