    I always cut first, then sew (line up the 1/4 line on ruler corner to corner then cut). Works perfect for me every time.

    Starching fabrics -- I just use spray starch -- prior to cutting and when pressing is a game-changer. This one routine really simplified -- and amplified! -- my piecing skills. Thank you for an informative video.

    Your sewing classes must be amazing! Are your classes available to attend on the students own schedule or do they need to be attended at specific days/times?

    My 'older' machine sadly doesn't have the 1/4 inch line on the plate...

      That could be frustrating. You'd have to measure from needle out to get an accurate 1/4" seam if that's the case. Will definitely be tricky tho.
