This great, nice job. The HD shop didn't know what would work on my 48 to convert it to mids. Now I can go back and order the right parts kit.
Thanks for the great vid. Answered all of my questions. I’m about to buy a 48. I already have a 2003 with forward controls and I’m not very happy with them. Its nice to know that I can do the change to mid controls and its no big deal. I can go back to forward controls any time if I want.

I picked up an 883 a couple weeks back and it came with forward controls plus some thick ass grips on them. Planning on using your tips when I tackle the install to mids.
Why would someone change the forward controls for mid controls? Is it some king of bizarre taste for worse choices?

What kind of men would prefer mid controls? I would understand if the person is too short. Otherwise, there is no reason for that.
Men who want more control plus you can stand on the foot pegs in case you come across a bad bump or pothole. Yes short guys surely like that more. Tall will find it cooler for cafe to cafe.
