- Rode my Harley to a bike meet that was near my place. It was all sport bikes, but the group was super cool. HOWEVER, during the ride, one of the guys slid off his bike in front of me. Be aware of your surroundings and ride safe everyone.

I have never experienced any snobbiness from other riders, and I have pulled up to bike meets on Honda's and Harley's...the vast majority of bikers really do not care what you ride and welcome any and all riders. It's only the assholes like maybe in hardcore biker gangs that care about that crap.
Yup. Experienced that as well. No issues with riding along groms or 300cc'ers or harley baggers. Seen more baggers on highways than town but thats just my experience. Be safe brothers and sisters on 2 wheels.
VERY true!🤙🤙🤙
@@NanaRides I don't care what you ride, as long as you ride responsibly, but that's what so many of these sport bike riders don't do, seems all they want to do is break the law, and endanger themselves and everybody around them !! If you want a good example of this go to the Tail Of The Dragon and see how so many idiots ride there !!
Or people on the Internet.
Easiest way to find the pricks, bahaha
A couple years back, I was really impressed when an old dude on a Harley showed up at a dual-sport-oriented adventure rider rally .. the only Harley at the event. He borrowed someone's BMW, had a couple offs, bent a rim, yet finished a 220-mile ride. Now we're good friends and I've put some miles on his loaner Harley when visiting.
lol nice. I had a dual sport. Loved it. I wanna ride some supermotos too 😅🙌
A memorial ride that could lead to more memorial rides.....
Yeah, this was all over the place, no coordination or road captain, and didn't go through stops together and take over the intersections. I was cringing.
😂 might have to skip next years memorial ride 😅
@@kevlarxkoffee Meet up same time next week.
Reckless and speeding d bags. Asphalt filled with red crayons 🖍.
That's why I avoid group rides.
Wait - mountains in the background, palm trees on the streets, beautiful, friendly women at the meet up.....bro, you're living the dream!
Wait til you find the rest of my vids with the amazing Linda 😅
@@kevlarxkoffee is this out near claremont? saw the 210 there
“Chillin in the back”, y’all are rippin around the traffic lol!!! 😂
Gets boring in the back sometimes 😂
Also get to do more pulls if you straggle behind a bit
@@Rah215 these are facts 🫡
Perfect example of why I follow a group from behind when there are younger (or crazy) riders present. I was once riding with a group of people and one guy pulled up next to me at a stop light in a rolling stoppie with his girlfriend on the back. I don't have a problem with people doing stunts (I used to dabble myself) but I don't appreciate it when they do it next to me.
I was impressed by how well your mirrors work. 😂
I too get worried about riders slamming into me from behind 😅 I've tried both angles with mirrors, and I feel like the bottom has the best view. I can see everything and everyone 🙌
@@kevlarxkoffee i have the mirrors on the low side too cause if you position them up your arms block your view. it's not stylish op, we litteraly need to put them like that :P
Anything on 2 wheels is welcome in my book! 🏍️💨
🔥🙌
Always was. It's the spirit of riding 2 wheels, that matters.
Same, if you're on a Grom i'll still salute you
I just love the sound of Harleys. Even the Sportster.
🔥🙌
That mountain landscape at 1:20 is just beautiful I’d honestly get lost staring at that view while riding😭
My first Harley was a Sportster in 2000 I won it in the CT state lottery and rode it for 800 miles, I probably wouldn't have bought a Harley but I traded it in on a 2001 1450 T-Sport and she's been treating me just fine for 24 years now with NO major problems lots of tires and battery's that Dyna's a great bike, so was the 1200 Sportster but if I was going to jump I'd do it while it was still new. I hate lane splitting you don't know what some ass hat is going to do if he's having a bad day I have a friend who busted up his leg to bad playing that game. I'm 71 years young and have been riding bike since 17 years old with only ONE accident that put me in the hospital for eight days so PLEASE STOP LANE SPLITTING I like the way you've got your bike set up. I didn't have mine long enough to change anything. But my Dyna was the best thing I bought myself. BE SAFE
Lanesplitting is a must in Cali. Just this week a guy got rear ended by a car and died 😥 Congrats on winning that one bike!! 🔥🙌
Thank's for taking Us along , Live to Ride !!
Like always 🔥🙌
lifes to short to choose Harleys or sport bikes over one another. Always remember bikes are small guys, you can fit one of each in your parking space lol.
I want a sport bike and a supermoto 😅🙌
Everyone rider should have both!
Love that you went out there knowing youll be the only cruiser! I could never! Also, im jealous of your surroundings. I def need to move to a place with mountains and palm trees
Come ride in Cali. Every group ride is super cool. No matter the bike. I even ride with mini bikes lol 🤙🙌🙌
Bro grabbed his front brake before he straightened out his front wheel.
His brake light did come on, but his wheels looked aligned/straight. He seems to have put his foot down and caused himself to lose balance. That was a strange accident.
Amateur
@@NanaRides His head was slightly turned to the right indicating he had no idea how close he was to the rider in front, panicked, grabbed too much front brake and washed out the front tire. The foot down was an involuntary reaction to knowing they were falling.
👍👍
This sir has been accepted as the best explanation 🤙😂
It's all about respect when you're on two..... Been to dozens of events, sport bikes, cruisers, and touring, everyone is cool unless you're not... Then you find out about respect the hard way. If you're on two your part of a huge family. I stop anytime I see a bike on the side of the road, I even throw the duces when I'm driving my truck lol.
Love the positive vibes 🤙🙌
those people ride like they wanna do memorial rides every yer
Looks like you're taking a gun to a knife fight! Lol!
🤣🙌
I think you need some of them fancy Harley accessories to make your bike faster..
I’m joking your doing good! ❤
Cruisers are for enjoyment, those sport bike riders never really get to experience the world we can..
It passes them too quick 😜
Your shifting way to early..
You need to stretch those legs!!
It actually increases the longevity of those engines..
🤘🤠👍
well that was a nice ride.. i was with you riding pillion and looking over your left shoulder all the way ha ah
lol nice. Glad you were being safe with me 🙌
Well, that is a pretty sporty Harley.
🔥🙌
Nice ride so different to my outings. Have fun and stay safe :>)
🤙🙌
My only Harley was a kick start 1971 1000 sportster. It vibrated badly but was very dependable despite what people said about them. My other bikes have all been dirt, sport. I'm 72 riding a ninja 400 and 650 enfield now. I started riding at 14 in the 60's on a Bridgestone 90 2 stroke and have never crashed a street bike. That guy going down in a straight line at such slow speed needs to get a 125- 250 dirt bike and learn to ride before he hurts himself or somebody else.
I built a 1971 Honda CL 175 with a cafe racer. It was a nice looking bike. Sold it awhile ago 😅 but I still miss it.
WOW someone actually mentioning a 90cc Bridgestone!! My mom and dad had one [when we lived in Upstate NY [Rome NY]] . My mom rode the tires off that thing in the dirt [my mom often out rode some of the guys… made them a bit mad LOL but this was the late 1960’s]. both my mom and dad were into the “enduro’s” My dad also had a Suzuki 250 “Hustler” that was a Twin 2 stoke street bike. I’m 61 and I have a picture of me as a toddler sitting on the tank with a bubble faced helmet and a big ass grin on my face! Dad used to take me for rides all the time … thanks for your comment, brought back some awesome memories!
@Studio51media My friend had a Suzuki x6 Hustler that we rode to work for awhile. It was the only bike with a 6 speed trans at the time and quite fast.
@@jimt1240
OMG YES! It was FAST!! my dad called it a “thinly vailed race bike”!! [he LOVED how fast it was] … he actually won an 1/8 mile drag race with it! [had the trophy… not sure where that trophy is at this point LOL]
Fun fact., the easiest way to shift a Harley is to bounce it off the limiter!!
No clutch! Boom boom boom boom boom absolutely gone!
They are actually incredibly fast bikes when you know 😜
Love the sound of the harley😊
Stage 1 with SPC Exhaust 🙌🙌
Great vid. Subscribed
🙌
Man your jacked up left blinker is stressing me out 😂😂😂 nice bike tho ❤
😂😅
THANKS now I cant stop seeing it. 😂😂
Looks like to are close to the IE! We should ride some time! I just picked up my iron 883. Need more Harley buddies!
I like how uniform and tight you all ride in such a way that no one will run into the rider in front of them !!😅
I think the major takeaway would be to understand your skill level and ride accordingly. Everyone was a noob and probably most people did some cringy stuff along the way, so why hate.
I dont care much for riding with inexperienced riders while in a pack, including when I was one myself. Some people understand better than others, and I felt I was one of them. It gets way too hectic with noobies in a pack, so the best course of action is everyone create plenty of distance. Take it as serious as if your life depends on it, because it happens fast.
No one has anything to prove, pushing past your limits is when things go bad. Practice in a safe environment that minimizes risk when you want to push it, in order to become a better rider.
💯🔥🙌 that's what I preach in my videos 🤙
Love the video can you share which foot pegs you using in this video I didn't see them on he build page.
Oh I swapped my sets with my friend on his iron 883. Gave me his mid controls and I gave him my forwards lol. I have a video on it where I show the install 🙌
I like how your camera is positioned 👌
I just got a Harley
My setup is wicked 🔥🙌
Nice bike bro, sounds nice 💪
🔥🙌
Love the vid, sucks that guy ate it. I have an iron 1200, is there any reason you don't rev match down shift when stopping? Sounded like you usually just clutch in and down shift. No hate just curious. Also it took me a hot minute to figure out where your speedo was lol.
You'll notice at one point I was riding next to one of the riders and I rev matched down and maybe he thought I was rev'ing at him 😅 but I do rev match down a lot in my other vids. I thought I was annoying the other riders so I stopped 😂🤙
I generally don’t like group rides, because it raises the chance for giving out first aid. I like being solo and focus on my technical stuff. Each to his own. However, get a bunch of bikes out there on city streets and it can be a recipe for problems. You need to pick your areas to ride more aggressively, if you care about riding, it only makes sense to be an ambassador for riding. Here in the Monterey Bay Area, we have some pretty great roads up in the mountains.
It's a difficult topic. When I'm riding with my main group, we ride along pretty well and look after each other. Cars also see us more since we're in a group. But I understand and don't force anyone to ride in a group ride if they don't want to. Also friends from our group has had close friends that passed away riding canyons, and I had a close call with a car in one of my canyons videos, so it convinced me to stay away from those rides. Different for everyone and it's fine. Everyone rides their own ride 🤙
i wish i wasnt shy and akward and could be myself ^^ i would go to every meeting
Honestly, I almost didn't go to this ride 😂 I get nervous too. Just gotta tell yourself if you'll regret not going. You can't do it over, only happens once 🙌
I'm not a Harley fan, but I've ridden with a guy who was as fast on his Harley as any sane person would want to be on the roads. And that was with a pillion. The rider contributes more than the bike in most cases.
💯🙌
This is why you need a radio. One for a person that is the leader and one for the person in the back. So you can tell them to slow tf down and wait. Along with if anything happens etc
I have a Cardo headset I use with my main group. My first time with this group so I didn't bother to link up 😅
I live by Rancho Cucamonga. I ride my Harley everyday to work, so might see you around.
🔥🙌
Well, like momma used to say, “stupid is as stupid does”.
Never in my life saw someone remove their entire hand off the throttle to let off a shift 😂 to each their own though. Stay safe out there g.
i fucking love this comment
Less wrist strain 😂😂
Me&my Dyna. No exaggerated hand movement on throttle (just looks stupid). A slight forward rool of 3-4degrees drops rpms significantly enough and shifting is smooth without all that affectation.
Bro the zx10R is insaaaane broooo!
🔥🔥
Honestly... I got over the meet and greets 20 years ago. Now I might pace a parking lot looking for someone without chicken strips on their tires to pal around with.
There's stunt lot meets for that too lol 🙌
@@kevlarxkoffee I like stunt rides even if I'm a bit outdated for the crowd. But I do come across friends on twisty roads now and then.
I’m planning on getting my motorcycle endorsement, sometime in my future. Tbh I’m a sport bike person, love the look of them. Might start out with one of the 2 most common starters (Yamaha r3 or Ninja 400), still haven’t decided which one though. Both are similar but with minor differences.
Check out our vids. Our girl Emilin is on the 400. We did some upgrade videos with her. And our friend Robert with the white R3. He was the one that passed away. You can see that bike in the Huntington Beach US Surf video and a few others. Enjoy 🤙
This was a fun watch, Im subscribing. Also what a bummer that guy layed his bike at the very start mannnn I was hoping you were joking
Also lane splitting is illegal in Fl, (too crazy out here) and watching you do it gave me anxiety
😂 thanks for the sub! It looks more crazy with my camera angle. It's not bad. I think I saw in FL you don't need to wear a helmet? That's even more crazy 😅
Sorry, not sure if I caught it, what brand of bike do you ride???😅😂🤗😉
2022 Harley 48 woo 🙌 full upgrades are in the description 🤙
The sportster I had was a 2019 Harley sportster 1200cc and it was really fast and a good overall motorcycle
🏍️ 💨🔥
This is dangerous, would have gone my own way
💯🙌
Watching this gives me hope. I have a harley FXBB. Not the biggest fan of going harley bike nights or club parties cuz they’re sorta hardcore. I feel like I would fit in more with sportbike crowds but again I got a harley. I feel like Waldo and I’m just some nerd who loves to ride but with my AuDHD it’s hard to make friends for me in this culture
That's a good one I should do. Joining a club ride and see how it goes 😅
I had a motorcycle when I was a kid , I think it was an 80cc Honda , and as I was looking at new bikes I noticed that the shifting is still the same with the first gear being at the bottom and neutral coming right after first so why is it that it's first , neutral , then all the other gears ? Seems like the industry should make neutral at the bottom then followed by the gear speeds ?
Honda CT-125 is about it for neutral at the bottom.
I like the T-bars on your Sporty, by the way.
🔥🙌
10:31 crash 😂
That tiny little drop, put his ride to a stop!
Because his street bike, wasn’t actually made for streets..
And definitely not meant to touch them 😂
Steel bikes are real bikes 😜❤
the yamaha is insanely not high compared to the model i drove, a 2017 one which was 839mm high^^
kinda looks like the guy that dumped his bike started leaking somthing about 5ft before the front end came out
Maybe got scared and pee'd his pants? Jk 😂💦
The second that guy flew past the other bike in the left lane, i would have been done. No uniformity at all when riding this group.
He's actually a popular influencer and experienced rider 😅🔥🙌
@@kevlarxkoffee all it takes is one second
By "Flew past," you mean a whole 8 mph faster than them??😅😅 this is the person who says the bike that was going 45mph was "flying at over 100mph!😮"😅 zero sense of actually speed.
Wimp
Looks like he grabbed a handful of front breaks. You can break really hard with the front break but apply breaks gradually. You cannot just squeeze hard all of a sudden. Also don’t go cheap on tires, keep good air pressure.
I'm gonna tell you it doesn't matter what your ride may be..... lol, it's who you are as a person & how you show respect in whatever
circumstance you find yourself in. That said, I took my TOMOS 49.9cc Moped to a Harley party for 3 days of blinding drunkenness
& came out the other-side alive. Some hated that I showed on that ride but lucky for me the head guy thought I had ballz... IDKnow
that I had ballz but the booze made me not see the dangers..... Let's see how you do? peace

Group rides are the worst especially with a younger crowds, ABS would of saved his bike, Panic braking caused that 100%, no abs? then Progressive pressure that's literally in the MSF class, Never take your eyes off the road from what's in front of you especially in a group ride.. This is the prime Example of why MC's don't like riders passing their MC group that one person mistake can take out everyone.... Nice 48 by the way..

I miss my sportster 48 sometimes but man that thing had too many problems within 2k miles for a $13k bike.
Gotta keep tightening things down 😅🤙
I have more fun with the sports bike community than with the Harley crowd. An i dont even have a 2 wheel bike. My granddad gave me his freewheeler when he stopped riding. They seem to be a lot more accepting than the Harley crowd. Thats just my opinion though. Could be that im a participant in the 4/20 cloud though lol but hay they always reach out to me for a ride an dont mind riding a lil bit slower for me lol i can only do about 90 on the Freewheeler lol
I have fun riding with both 🙌 but on days I feel more dangerous, I join the sports bike crowd 😂

I’m not a sport bike rider either. However, the sport bike community is more laid back than any Harley group. Sport bike people are more accepting. They wave at me when Harley people don’t.
These kinds of comments keep the stereotype going. Harley riders (myself included) wave to any riders, even trike riders. Some people are just assholes. I've had my wave ignored by sport bike riders and Harley riders. Stop stereotyping people. Some are jerks, some do not see you in time.
@@NanaRidesThe comments don’t keep the stereotype going, the Harley guys do. Take it up with them. Where I ride in the northeast, Harley guys almost never wave and almost everyone else does.
@Username-2 some people just aren't nice people. It's not a prerequisite to buying a harley
@@Username-2 also some people aren't comfortable taking a hand off the handlebars
@@DCoop-uo2wq Just saying 90% of the time it’s Harley guys. The stereotype exists for a reason. Maybe they are all noobs to afraid to take a hand off the bars.

True story, onsies track leather saved my friend from a crash 😅🙌🙌
I’m gonna guess they won’t care. I have a sportbike. I’ve seen a Honda Gold wing at a meet up and nobody cared. Just having fun.
Unless it’s at Harley, every meet is a sport bike meet
We have multiple vids on different meets in Cali. Harley's and Sport Bikes 🙌
Many Harleys out around Chicago mixing with rockets. Stunt rides every weekend during the summer
Ive never seen anyone use the throttle like that when shifting. In fact, you can shift up without the clutch by barely rolling off throttle quickly and shifting at same time. Ive had 2 Sportsters 2004 and a 2005. Currently have a 2016 Ultra Limited.
I'm going to trademark my shifting 😂 I have friends that clutchless shift. I feel like using the clutch helps with building hand muscles and makes me stronger lol 💪
@@kevlarxkoffee it does that for sure. I've just never seen anyone let go of the throttle to shift.
@@davidvaughn7778interesting I’m still a beginner rider but whenever I shift I pre load with my foot and slowly pull in clutch till it pops in and roll off throttle.
@anthony_trillanes I'm picking up what you're throwing down, I'd say don't start shifting until you have the clutch in. Depending on the bike, transmissions can be fragile. Get a feel for where your clutch engages and pull in at least that far before you shift. Doing as I described above, when you roll off throttle even for a half second, it unloads the gears enough that you can upshift without pulling the clutch.
Your front left indicator is wonky.
It is and I hate it. I bought Amazon rear led lights so I think that's why it's doing that. My front led's are the good expensive brand 😅
I can’t believe that bike took so much damage of a simple crash
🔥💥😝
sucks for the guy that dumped it on turn #2
Group ride or ClusterF**k? And what caused that dude to go down? A stray thought? Much safer to ride alone than with a bunch like that, they'll get you into a jam and not even notice. It seems more like riding amongst or chasing them rather than actually riding with them. Did you get the feeling they actually lost you intentionally? And who's memorial was it, one of the crew that splattered himself on the back of a truck, slid under, or got nailed running a red? LOL... No thanks. I used to ride with the Patriot Guard Riders, who were organized, actually had a purpose, had experienced and trained riders, watched out for each other, and still had loads of fun.
slider on the engine case don't do that
I had a dream the other day that I bought a harley I don’t even remember the model and I took it to the shop or picked it up from shop something like that and my wife started riding and I was patiently impatiently waiting for my turn and when she finally got back and it was my turn to ride I woke up I just felt so much excitement like I finally found something fun again like when we are kids and now I wanna buy my first bike I want a customized fatboy HD but it’s so sad and scary to know how many pass away

Damn, stabbed the front brake. You can see him not paying attention to the rider in front of him and he got scared and stabbed it. He was straight up basically and it sucks. I've done it before but in the rain.
Riding in the rain scares me, I've only fish tailed 😅
That Husky 401 wasn't a sport bike LOL

That’s why I sport bike riders and Harley riders. Key to heavy front braking is have a shitty front brake 😂 like me. I only lock up the rear if i down shift to fast for my speed 😅
As someone who rides with friends and organizes large rides. Would have bailed at first wheelie.
Not my cup of tea..
Not for everyone. No pressure. Ride your ride and have fun 🤙🙌
I wonder what state they are in "WHAT UP FOOL?!" ahh california
🤣🤣 this foo 👊
Is the weaving in between cars legal in the state your riding in? I've riden s8nce I was 8 started on dirt bikes moved to Enduro at 16 and crotch rockets at 18 then at 25 to Cruisers Harley soft tales. I'm now 54 and I can honestly say I've never riden like that, I guess that's why I'm still alive. To many young riders do not respect the road. I've had to many friends die young being stupid, riding to fast not paying attention weaving through traffic pulling wheelies etc. It only takes one bad crash to destroy your life. Ride Free, Ride Safe, Ride Long-time
Yes, we're in California and it's legsl to Lanesplit. I personally suggest it. California drivers are really bad 😅 🤙

You just need slightly bigger balls 😂
I always say if you got two wheels or three wheels it don’t matter sports bike. It don’t matter if it’s a Yamaha Goldwing it don’t matter if it’s a Harley or an Indian enjoy it.
Never seen anyone drop a bike that way...weird. did he hit a oil patch?
Many are saying a banana peel 🍌😅
Looks like he was leaking brake fluid or something. You can see a trail before he dumps it. If that got on his tire, he had no chance.
I love how they parked in the EV parking area.
