I was lucky, my 48 came with the 3.3 tank and I feel that proportions are a little nicer than with the 2.1
Wait what?? Your 48 came with the larger tank? Did you buy it used? I had a 48 and I thought they all came with the smaller tank.

man that looks sooooooooooo much better. I do like the look of the peanut tank, but your new one seems to be a PERFECT upgrade bc it seems to still keep those peanut tank lines. It looks like the same tank as OEM, just maybe grown by about 25%. I now have a new goal for my 2018 48.

I had swapped the stick peanut tank on my forty eight with a 4.5 and loooved it. The only hassle is to wiggle the fuel pump assembly if I may. Otherwise pretty straight forward install. Congrats brother on the last real sounding Harley and not a showing machine like my 2020 RKS 114😢
Did you have to change the handlebars with the bigger tank?
@@jamiehofland7875 no I just switched the mirrors from under the handlebars to the too side… With mirrors underneath you gotta be careful not to full lock the handlebars even though I had no issues… Just liked the mirrors on too like every other bike… Still have the original tank!!

@@kevlarxkoffee lol that’s a 96 wide glide,I don’t ride it anymore. I ride a 2010 super glide with 110ci tman ,Jim 58mm Tb, 120hp. My girlfriend does have one just like that 😂👍

Yes if you adjust it correctly. I've upgraded my handlebars since then. Check out my upgrade videos 🙌

How many gallon before how many gallon after you change
Original tank was a 2.1 gal. This tank is now a 3.5 gal, which is the average tank that everyone has. It works for my riding. I couldn't handle the 2.1, need to fuel up too much. It all depends on your riding.

I think I adjusted my bars and I had no issues. The 3.3 gal tank is a good swap 🤙
