    The most advanced Intel Arc Graphics (Xe-LPG) in Intel Meteor Lake allows you to connect 8K TV to the HDMI 2.1 port of this laptop. However, Acer has only confirmed DP 1.2 and HDMI 2.0 for model SFG14-72-53BP.

    I on the other hand don't care that it looks slightly dated, makes it less likely to be stolen. It looks fine, other than the fact that it needs to be thicker for better cooling, thin and light has to be one of the worst things manufacturers ever did for performance, also valuing looks over reliability and performance, not only would it be better thicker for better cooling, but they could also fit a nice 99wh battery in there too. But nope, people only care about one thing these days.

      99 wh in 14 inch chassis u're joking right

    • @bobking7347
      @bobking7347 5 месяцев назад

      @Gateastrologykc use your head. if it was a bit thicker, there would be no problem accommodating that battery size and a larger cooler to prevent thermal throttling and allowing an apu to be ran at near maximum tdp for both the cpu and integrated graphics. 1" or slightly less thickness such as 0.8 would lead to a laptop that also doesn't have to be made out of metal alloy of some type so that would also keep the costs down while allowing it to still feel substantial with no chassis flexing. No money wasted on stupid rgb, fancy accents, just function over form without having to spend a crazy amount of money on a laptop with a dgpu and over speced screen you can hardly take advantage of that uses a great deal of power even when the dgpu is turned off, it still sips power. Not only would you be able to allow an amd apu to fully stretch its legs, but during normal use, the battery life would be insane and you also wouldn't have to hear tiny little fans screaming away, bigger fans bigger coolers, lower noise, fans especially wont have to spin as fast. Perhaps even add better speakers inside too. But nope, fools want thin and light which limits and chokes performance. It'll still be portable too. Give it a nice ips panel an 8840hs or an upcoming intel lunar lake apu. Make it thicker, bigger battery, better cooler that actually fills space behind the motherboard with good ventilation, no flashy anything. Just something nice that doesn't cost a million dollars because of them putting extra crap all around it. Yup.

      That is the Apple business model, and it makes sense that rivals are now latching onto this business practice. If your price is too low at launch, selling for the rest of its cycle becomes increasingly more difficult. Apple sussed that out years ago, and they use discounts at third-party sellers to lower prices as the cycle runs down.

The MacBook Pro (14" with a M3 Pro chip) is twice as expensive in its base configuration. If one is going to do a fair comparison then pick similarly priced laptops. Other than that, I don't disagree with the comments, although I'm more interested in how the M3 base in a Air compares, even though the Air is much more expensive also, especially after its memory and storage have been upgrade to 16GBs and 512GBs respectively. How much better is the M3 vs the Intel 155H?

      @MatthewMoniz  Год назад +5

      Problem is stock on AMD is always low or non existent they dont have the production capacity that Intel has and now that the Intel laptops perform just as well it will be a good thing for anyone picking up a laptop.

    • @cameronbosch1213
      @cameronbosch1213 Год назад

      @MatthewMoniz That isn't really true anymore. Framework literally has laptops available to ship with both Intel 13th gen U and AMD Ryzen 7040 U and everybody is recommending the Ryzen CPUs because they're just objectively better at 15 watts or so that Intel.
      Literally the only thing preventing the 16 inch Framework Laptop from shipping is a power adapter problem and chirping fans, and that also uses AMD Ryzen 7040 CPUs, but this time their HS series, which also beats Intel H series in terms of efficiency. Which, you know, is why people buy thin and light laptops.
      The stock issue was worse at the start of the year; it's far better now. Now it's just brands disrespecting the consumer by NOW offering very few options (mostly Intel) when stock has clearly returned to normal.
      Meteor Lake is a step in the right direction in terms of GPU performance and efficiency, but a step in the wrong direction in terms of IPC, hence the lower single core performance. If next year's Intel Arrow Lake doesn't fix the IPC issues or make serious gains in terms of efficiency, I would seriously hope more brand use AMD Ryzen or else the PC market will collapse.
