I'm slightly confused by the Zenbook 14 variants. There are OLED vs non OLED. Then there is the Q425 Jasper Grey vs UX3405 Ponder blue. It seems like there is a UX3402 but without the Core Ultra 7 CPU and Intel ARC with the older 11th gen i7 with Iris. So I take that you have the UX3405 which has the top of the line with windows 11 pro, stylus, sleeve, USB adaptor, where as the Q425MA-U71TB does not have the fancy external line designs, no fancy touchpad with the keypad, window 11 home, 16GB ram but with the powerhouse of the Core Ultra 7, Intel Arc. and that's it. It's confusing to say the least, where there is a UX3402 non-ultra 7 out there at best buy right now. Anyways, great review here.

I've used this laptop for several months now and it's been very disappointing, Especially at this price point. The Zenbook runs very hot even with minimal use. The CPU does great on benchmarks but my older 11th Gen Intel i7 runs much cooler and seems faster on most tasks. The Intel Core Ultra 7 155H in the Zenbook stutters and lags constantly. Nice video. What's the sku on your model? I have what I thought was this exact laptop (UX3405, 90NB11R3-M00JP0), but it doesn't have the light-up number pad. Not that I really need it or anything, but I'm surprised they offer two different models with the same CPU/ram/screen configuration with just this one difference.
@@mohit5165 I'm not sure. Asus released a few different versions of the Zenbook with 155H. The one I have (UX3405) has a 2880 x 1800 OLED touch screen with up to 120hz and optional variable refresh rate. I recently found out they have another sku under Q425MA that has a WUXGA screen at 60hz. That's also a touch screen. There could be regional skus out there as well, so I can't really say. That said, I mentioned that second sku because it is currently selling for $1,049.99, which is like $300 (Q425MA) less than the one I bought. Same chip set, but 16gigs of ram (half of what I got). Most of the other specs appear to be the same, but there's a slightly different exterior finish. Thing is, the touch screen really isn't going to affect how you use it. I never use touch with my laptop, but I suppose it's a good option just in case. It really isn't going to impact the price point all that much either. So I really wouldn't go out of my way to avoid it. WUXGA might actually make more sense on at 14" laptop. For one, you'll almost never hit 2880 x 1800 for games with this laptop. I'm always reducing resolution down to WUXGA or 1080p anyway, so having that as native might have been better on the gaming front. Plus, you'd end up saving more battery power in normal use. That 2880 x 1800 is great for video though. But 16gigs, which is adequate for just CPU use, it not really great for the 155H with Arc graphics. It limits the amount ARC can allocate for dedicated use.
@@mohit5165 Depends on the SKU. UX3405 that I bought has 155H Core Ultra 7 and 2880x1800 120hz touch screen and an active stylus. But there is apparently a 1080p SKU out there for $300 less.

I bought model UX3405MA-BS71T-CB a month ago, and I hate it. I use it for basic office work and it freezes so many times, I still have three days to return it but I don't know what to buy instead, I don't even know if the problem is in the laptop or the network, knowing that I used the zenbook 7i before this and did not face such issues. I can not believe how many times I need to wait to web pages or excel sheets to work. Not to mention that it turns into fire if I am working and charging at the same time. I really don't know what to do.

I'll take that dramatic GPU performance increase over the CPU. That's just for my needs though. Currently CPUs are far more capable than anything I need to do for work (heavy excel, minor coding).
@@justinmadison513@justinmadison513 This is an ultrabook, so the disappointing CPU is okay. Of course, for fairness, when the M3 only got 10-20% CPU upgrades, they got a lot of trolls flexing how bad that was, so maybe Intel deserves some gibe?

What’s the difference between the version with the ASUS logo and the A design?
I've used this laptop for several months now and it's been very disappointing, Especially at this price point. The Zenbook runs very hot even with minimal use. The CPU does great on benchmarks but my older 11th Gen Intel i7 runs much cooler and seems faster on most tasks. The Intel Core Ultra 7 155H in the Zenbook stutters and lags constantly. The battery life is also disappointing. The reviews I read/saw implied the Zenbook had great battery life but that's not been my experience. It does have a beautiful OLED screen but that's the only positive it has going for it.

@@Imjustabilly still haven't figured it out, myself.
Does the zenbook come with the same specifications (ultra 7 155h) but without the touchscreen??. Please shed some light

I am watching this on my 2021 M1 MBP, which I run hard all day and after 12 + hours I have plenty of power left without ever looking, thinking, or worrying about a thing. I was super excited for this new generation. Maybe a step in the right direction, but looks like amazing hardware on a Windows machine may still be a few years out. :( Love love love Windows. The hardware? Not so much.... :(
Good to know that the unplugged performance loss has improved, but not quite enough for me to get super excited just yet. I am so waiting for something Windows to compete with even the first generation Apple Silicon! For now, patience.
