    Hi Pam and Brian, that will be great for both of you. Brian will find he will be hanging things and be so glad he built it. Thanks for sharing. 💕NonnaGrace

    This video was so great! It had so many different skills wrapped up into the project. I loved seeing how you chard and oiled the wood, also how the poles were mounted in place using concrete right in the hole. The tensioners for the lion was also really good, I didn't know those were out there. We are also working on property in the Mojave Desert, so we'll be sure to watch for more videos!

    I am a great fan of pre-drilling. Especially since my drill is not one of the most high quality expensive types. Very nice clothesline!

      Yep. Just seems like everything splits for me if I don't pre-drill.

    I’m still using my portable clothes lines from Ikea . Weighted down I can’t believe they are still on this side of Benson, these winds are brutal ... I really like your sturdy ones!!!
    Great job one more time ! 😊👍😊

    Great job! You might want to consider hanging some bright, dangling things on the ends of the cross beams to prevent yourself from walking into them.

    I clicked the video to learn how to rope up this kind of clothesline. I'm a visual learner and have these two poles already set up and waiting for line, but don't know how to do it. Do you still have the footage you could slow down as a separate video? Thank you. Very nice finished work!

    • @MidlifePrices
      @MidlifePrices  4 года назад

      Sorry it didn't have as much detail as you needed. I try as best I can to include some of the details that I find other videos gloss over or leave out completely. I'll have to go back through the footage to see what I've got, but as I recall the way we did it there wasn't even any tying or anything (I'm terrible at tying knots!). The device at either end of the line does all the work for tension, and other than that the line just runs through a hook (really, two) to change direction. I don't know that I can make another video on it, but I'd be happy to try and answer any questions you might have.

    This looks great but I want something to put together in minutes because I'll be using it in minutes. I suppose a string tied to 2 trees is my best option

      You're probably right. Just a matter of aesthetics and longevity. Good luck! 👍

    Doesnt matter how many times i watch your videos, that opening still makes me giggle a lil bit. My wife always says "we" and it usually ends up "me" as well, dont feel bad Brian.

      I don't think I did (camera angle may have been misleading!), but I TOTALLY agree with you. I think I have a pretty healthy fear/respect for my power tools. I try to stay pretty safe. Thanks for sharing the advice, though. Power tools can get dangerous in a hurry!

    Don't I remember you had some problems with your wash- erosion, not laundry- can you give an update? is it fixed or ongoing?

    • @MidlifePrices
      @MidlifePrices  4 года назад +2

      It is definitely an ongoing battle. We are trying to line our worst erosion spots with branches to catch flowing debris and silt. We're also providing relief trenches to stop the water from focusing too much in one spot. We're just constantly trying to slow and spread the water. We've realized that's a job that will never be complete here.

    geez, make yourself a decent workbench. and get some clamps before you cut your fingers off

    • @MidlifePrices

      I know, I know. I've got a nice workbench in the shed, but need to organize and get power in there. I promise I'm always thinking safety!
