  • Colonel Daniel Davis joins the show again to report the latest from the battlefield of Ukraine. The US Government just sent an additional $61 Billion dollars to Ukraine, however the majority of that money will stay in the US. We discuss why this war is failing, the supreme advantage Russia has with both men and ammo, and finally we disprove the theory that Putin wants to invade and attack Western Europe.

The fact they can't win war on the street against crime is precisely why they needed a war outside US.
The simple matter is that only nations that will gain more during peace time development will favor peace, those who can't beat the competition in peace time development will call for war in hope that something will happen.
That's the core reason why China is calling for peace and US is starting wars. It has nothing to do with ideology and everything to do with competence of the nation.

@@neilmorgan7578 I agree with you 100%. However, growth and investment in America are seen as catalysts for social chaos and dissolution, leading to decaying infrastructure and policies designed to maintain the status quo. The government avoids real investment in infrastructure to preserve resources for the ruling elite, who prioritize their survival over societal well-being. This results in the exploitation of citizens' taxes to sustain the state apparatus, regardless of the resulting civil or global conflicts, famine, or widespread suffering. The ruling elite, driven by capitalist interests, resist reversing these policies because it threatens their power and wealth, preferring a scenario where everyone perishes but they remain the last ones standing, rather than adopting policies that promote relative equality and societal stability.

The only thing the mantra of "can't let Russia win" has acheived is the death of over 600,000 Ukrainian men in uniform, a significant depopulation of Ukraine via a refugee exudus, simultaneous recession and ulta-high inflation among NATO member nations, and the permanent trend of de-industrialization of the crucially important (to the EU) German economy. And there are other factors such as depletion of NATO military resources and the stark exposure of NATO's inability to manufacture and replinsh said resources in a timeline anywhere near sufficient for major theater engagements. (This whole matter has provided China a stark X-Ray analysis of the actual reality of the state of the Western power block.)

Leitenant Daniel with all due respect, there was no "bad performance by Russia" in the first year of the war. Their objective was to force a settlement early on which they almost did in Istanbul before the west told Ukraine to not go ahead with it. After that they had to organize themselves for a longer war which is what they did. By the end of 2023 Russia had already destroyed two Ukrainian armies (the original Nato prepared army and the second constituted of ex Soviet states armoured vehicles, tanks and planes).

And just cutting off Russia's gas/oil exports would greatly harm their economy the same is true for the US weapons industry. Too much of the US's economy relies on weapon production and sales. This isn't about winning a war with Russia or with anyone else for that matter, the US NEEDS constant conflict just to avoid their economy from collapsing.

Honestly, I didn't watch the rest of this video. To become a part of Brics, yes. Part of Russia? How do they imagine it? For some reason, none of them says that in 2014 the government of Ukraine was illegally overthrown, that it was a coup d'etat, then a radical-minded crowd burned other people and killed, for some reason they forgot all about it. The fact that Crimea joined Russia without a single shot being fired, when people almost unanimously voted to join the Russian Federation, because Crimea has always been part of the Russian, since the reign of Catherine the 2nd in the 18th century. Then it was "donated" by one incompetent president of the Russian USSR for the Ukrainian SSR. It seems to me that one thing should be understood here, ordinary citizens of Russia do not need a war. Moldova wants to be friends with Russia - okay. No, that's not it. But you also need to understand that there are a lot of Russian-speaking people living there, and they also have their rights and relatives in Russia. In general, I believe that everyone should first of all take care of the problems of their country, and they are there. And only then to interfere in the affairs of other countries (I'm talking about the countries of Europe and the United States, and not about ordinary citizens, but about their government). As for Russia and Ukraine, they have always been related nationalities, and what is happening now is a great tragedy for the two countries, and what the United States is doing - in this case, the murder of Slavs by someone else's hands, that's all.

Not to mention that many countries, like Poland or Bulgaria consume WAY more then they produce (which also was true during the USSR reign), so their capture would only bring financial burden on Russia.
The only reason Ukraine war started is the same why Georgian one did - Nato advancement to Russian borders and fear that they will attempt to take Russian lands by force.

I think the question needs to be asked, what is Europe being protected from? There is not one nation that is acting in the capacity of aggressor towards Europe-not one now and not one on the horizon. It is the rest of the world that needs protection from the Europeans. The rest of the world is simply attempting to make the best possible economic/social lives for their populations that they can. The aggression has emanated now for a very long time from Europe/America-not the rest of the world. So again I ask, what is Europe being protected from?

European citizens voted no for Ukraine to join EU-union, because we were warned that the current war was a possibility. The politicians voted yes, why...because NATO and USA are the Boss and planned all this. The former Ukraine president was friendly with Russia, the USA staged a coup and planted their puppet Zelensky.
Most Europeans voted no to going from a healthy EEG to a EU-union, the politicians did it anyway.

when all is taken into account, primary responsibility lies with the West, in particular with the United States
During German reunification in 1990-91, U.S. and NATO officials assured Soviet leaders that NATO would never expand into Eastern Europe. But NATO proceeded to expand right up to the borders of the Russian Federation.
The U.S. and NATO engaged in a variety of actions that Russian leaders would predictably see as militarily threatening. The U.S.withdrew from the Anti-Ballistic and the intermediate-range nuclear missile treaties, and then ignored Russian attempts to negotiate a bilateral moratorium on deployments. The U.S. deployed nuclear-capable missile launch systems in Romania The U.S. and NATO conducted live-fire rocket exercises in Estonia to practice striking targets within Russia, and the U.S. and NATO conducted massive 32-nation military training exercises near Russia’s border.
The U.S. involved itself in the 2014 coup against the democratically elected President of Ukraine and in the choice of his replacement. Instead of pressing for a negotiated settlement between Ukraine’s post-coup government and pro-Russian autonomists in the Donbas ,NATO stepped up military training of Ukrainian forces, and supported ultra-nationalist and anti-Russian (some Neo-Nazi) groups and militias, Even on the precipice of war in late 2021, the U.S & NATO refused to renounce plans to incorporate Ukraine into NATO. Indeed, the U.S. refused to even discuss the question. but for these provocations by the U.S. and NATO, it is virtually inconceivable that Russia would have invaded Ukraine in 2022. The war in Ukraine, with all its horrors and its potential for escalating and spinning out of control, would not today be raging.

@@leight420 IMO internet chats were a great boon for the emotionally and intellectually immature. Finally they had the ability to goad people from the security and anonymity of their bedrooms.

Gentlemen! It was good to see two sane, intelligent, wise men who are aware of the hellish nature of all wars and the realities of this war, even its causes! I see very few Americans like you! Thank you guys! Greetings from Hungary!

True, with no men to man the equipment, Ukraine has no chance of reversing the Russian push

The US is the classic example of an empire becoming dependant on military expansionism for it's economic viability. This has never ended well.

"Expansionism refers to states obtaining greater territory through military empire-building or colonialism." Its very clear you know nothing about the American gdp or anything about military expansion. For one the U.S.A hasn't been gaining any territories in decades using their military, but besides that service-based industries, including professional and business services, real estate, finance and Healthcare make up 70 percent of the American global domestic product. But keep spewing nonsense.

@@oni1w383the US does not need to annex any territories, they just occupy them on false pretense, like Syria or Iraq. Trump was honest calling this move "securing Syrian oil" 😊

What expansionism? It was Putin and Russian that surprise attacked and invaded Ukraine, not US.

@23min, as a French, i can see to whom this war benefits: the usa. Interms of weapons sales, in gaz sales that we now buy to usa 3 times more than the russian gaz before. In terms of submission, as spreading the fear of russian invasion makes theeuropean government weaker to resist any us demands, on israel support or any other. But this is a short term view, as thewest is collectively loosing vs the rest of the world who is fed up with our arrogance and double standards. Tks for your analysis, your guest is good and i agree with most.

I'm in the US, and I agree.
Short term gains, long term though...
