This video is super helpful, thanks for the knowledge. New into the Sur ron/Segway community. I hope I’ll find more videos from you regarding the maintenance & replacement process. Btw do you have Instagram?
@@DualsportDisport because you can make a cheaper Segway/Sur on by putting in the 60 volt batter and controller Edwin olding has done that and saved money
@@Bubb1y3 definitely up to a point. This has been a big debate in the community. Some people say the x160 motor has smaller internal magnets. And yes you can make a 160 close to a 260 by putting the bigger wheels on it, the controller, the battery, but there are also parts that don't come on it.. like the DNM volcano forks, the upgraded 550 lb rear shock, the headlight that comes factory on the 260. I originally planned on building up my 160 but I bought a 260 instead because it was just a done turnkey project and nobody had the parts in stock
I am not sure if by putting the 60 volt battery in the 48 volt x160 if the controller will handle it. Maybe I will try it and it doesn't burn it up lol. If you haven't subscribed feel free to do so if you like what you see, I could maybe have that video coming out soon
Thank ya!

Yes
Btw do you have any tips regarding the belt making it last longer?
Keep it properly adjusted and don’t land a jump on the gas. The wheel spin will slip the belt instead
Have you tried putting this battery in the Segway x160?
I have not. I'm not sure if it would mess anything or not and I'm actually kind of curious now. Maybe I'll do a video on it.. thanks for watching
