i strongly disagree about the main cast's interactions. i thought yukari and junpei were pretty consistently well developed throughout most of the game and akihiko and shinjiro's interactions early on were kinda vague but still intriguing/alluring enough for me to wanna see where they go with it. the characters i would personally wanna flesh out more are ken and aigis. ken's arc goes by too fast and aigis's is really backloaded and basically doesn't happen until near end-game.
I agree about Junpei and Yukari, they were the exceptions - I loved their dynamic and personalities. I think Shinji, Ken, and Aigis all could have used a bit more development but it’s hard when they’re introduced late. Similar issue I have with Haru from P5
Persona 3 is a bit of a mess. AI is awful, the camera is odd at times, items don't have proper descriptions, and you can't select skills during fusion. It's amazing that after all that it's still a great game.
Nice video, I've never played any persona game and despite you mentioning that 5 is the best starting point for you I think I will start with 3. 4 is the one that I'm most curious about honestly.
(SPOILERS) First of all good video. When i first played persona 3 i did find the story a bit boring in the first quarter. (But that is the same in persona 4&5 for me) i found the game entertaining and fun, and while i did find the Nyx boss annoying. It did give some things in life you should enjoy more. they also all match the specified arcana. (side note if you do not have messiah at the final boss it is going to be annoying as hell in my first playthrough. i grinded easily to level 93 through monad and then in my second playthrough i grinded to level 99 through monad then moved on the the other versions of p3 if you don't know what monad is it is a place full of level 90 shadows) The ending was really amazing and left me crying for 2 hours i can't wait for P3R to release. i loved the game and can't wait to play it again for the 7th time. (i used to be kind of poor so i played the original, portable and the remaster of portable 2x) even after all those times i still can't wait for the game to release. (as a person who played all Persona games) Side note: i heard in the last line that new players could play the portable remaster? Persona 3 Reload is only 4 days away yknow even 3 days ago it was still a week.
yes Reload is just around the corner and seems like it'll be the best starting point for Persona 3, but I think P3P is perfectly fine - especially for someone who doesn't want to spend a full $70 on Reload
@@lorenzotalk Good point since well some people can't really afford it. like some people i know i did buy the P3P remaster and it was good, but the visual novel story telling kind of softened the impact on the ending so much so that i didn't cry at all.

you are correct, I've only played P5 Vanilla. I'd be interested in Royal eventually, but I want to play P4 Golden first, and Metaphor: ReFantazio - with the director and producer behind Persona 5, it'll be interesting to see how this one turns out
