    funny enough I bought a 95 e36 m3 in November of last year off Facebook, paid $8k for it car was clean and built well but had 200k on it. I rebuilt the whole car and can't be happier. I've put back more than 8k into car but hey gotta play to play. I don't plan on selling the car ever so in my eyes was 100% worth it for the piece of mind.

    My E36 was the first and biggest "unresponsible" purchase that I've made in about 10 years, but it puts a beaming smile on my face every time I drive it and I still think to myself "I can't believe I own an E36!" Granted, mine isn't an M3, but the 328i still has plenty of pep for what I need! Buyer's guilt is always something that you'll experience, especially with such a large purchase, but if it makes you happy then I think it's worth it.

    My theory is that he ran turbo, blew head gasket and then sold.
    The reason i say that is you can see the coolant overflow stains on the reservoir.
    Showing theres excess coolant pressure.

    If you are concerned about exhaust pitch Supersprint gives the really nice euro higher pitched exhaust note if you want to move away from the more bassy rasp. And for drone if you buy some sound deadening material and put it under the trunk carpet the drone will be greatly reduced. Sweet car look forward to videos with it.

    The car is pretty rough but you're probably right there pricewise. The thing is it'll be a dual purpose car and if anything major wrong you will fix it. It's so sad seeing what rust does to these things. I've had M3 sedan since new and I keep it pristine.. in southern california we get absolutely no rust if you take care of it except possibly very minor surface rust on things like control arms and subframes. Though I never plan to sell I've been waiting years for the prices to skyrocket. I'm very curious what someone would pay for mine looking like it just rolled off showroom floor.

    Very nice car Pawinn! And the most important; the body is perfect. And the m3 e36 prices in Europe are sky-high for years already. Give it a good polish and after that an AvalonKing ceramic coating. I did this to my e93 and it came out like new. Such an amazing product!! Dutch regards, Nico.

    • @Pawinning

    These car typically command the most resale value if completely stock condition and if low mileage will of course be the best. But in this case motor swapped paint is not original interior has seen better days I think this if it’s not rotted at best is good place to start a very expensive resto. I agree you definitely overplayed this at best 1000-1500 is generous. But that’s my opinion they’re tough to find but after your done cleaning it up and restoring some of it will likely cost you total 15-20k you may have been better off seeking a cleaner example out on bring the trailer or something like that.

Extra jealous about those manual vaders mine as a California car was reupholstered but I prefer manual vaders.....👌👌🔥

    Even with today's market, I feel $9k is overpaid. $7500 I would think would be perfect. Maybe because it just looks dirty to me...probably interior/exterior details would make it easier for me to see the $9k value.

    • @Pawinning
      @Pawinning  3 года назад

      I hear you with that! 7500-8000 was my target price for the car, but yeah if the paint was buffed out/cleaned up I think it would have justified more on the price I ended paying for it. I'm just mainly happy that the car seems to be very mechanically sound.

    i think it's probably a 7K car. The only real value is the low mileage. But is that even the original engine? Is it built? Definitely, if it was turbo'ed it saw a hard life. I'd sell the shifter and buy a CAE as there's absolutely no side play, and it's the best thing ever. every other copy shifter feels like shit in comparison. Still, rad if it's the only thing reasonable in the area. CA cars are obviously nicer but yeah on the other side of the country also.

    • @Pawinning
      @Pawinning  3 года назад

      Totally hear you with that man! And nope I recently managed to get in touch with the previous owner before the guy I bought it from to figure out more of the car's history. Turns out that owner swapped out the turbocharged s52 setup and swapped in another s52 with about 60k miles on the engine (stock aside from bolts ons like 24lb injectors, power pulleys, the m50 swap). Car just started throwing a CEL too so I'm thinking it needs a fresh tune on it as well since that previous owner did not really mess with the tune despite the SAP delete, m50 manifold conversion, etc.
      Thanks for the suggestions with the CAE shifter, it's definitely something I'll be considering along with a DSSR and other shifter bits. I appreciate the feedback brotha!
