@Samuel Imran Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I have these but with rust buildup can’t always pop H emblem I had to remove wheels to get it off and I used same technique as you Love the locks unfortunately in cases you have no choice remove wheel or damage center cap which I wasn’t doing Cool Vid
You should also check out the smaller more compact version, just as impressive with power and lighter too. I love this impact wrench but it is heavy imo 🤣
I just had my wheels stolen off my 2020 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback. It's in the shop now and im trying to figure out the best way to safeguard the new wheels going forward. Would you still recommend these rimgards ? My rims appear to be the exact same as in the video.
Haha if I were to bring my civic to the shop I'd probs take them off myself first, just to save them the effort. But that being said, I'd be surprised if removing them would be difficult for the dealerships
These look so nice. I'm gonna need to find a good set of wheel locks cause I have aftermarket wheels unfortunately. Also looks like it might be time for some pads and rotors. Brakes lookin a little grooved. Excellent video as always Pawin
On the outside of the Rimgard is a little notch ~ if you look closely that "notch" is what you're supposed to line up to the lug nut hole, matching where you turned the lines of the inside locking mechanism. The outside notch is right by your finger, if you pause @ 8:56
actually there was another video where they went over this and while these are more expensive they actually dont work as good as the ones that are just a cone shape.
FYI, I know this is an older video now, and someone may have mentioned it, but I see that at least for the 10th Gen Accord, they offer Anthracite (gun metal) finish for the caps now too. It's possible the color is available to more models as well.
I bought a 2021 Honda Insight (touring) and the oem lug nuts are tall for this. The module arm is touching the top of the lug nuts so I can’t thread the module to the locking ring. I don’t want to go through the hassle of getting shorter lug nuts. At this point, I’ll probably just return them and maybe get a set of advanced wheel locks. It’s a shame as I really liked the idea.
Advancelocks I believe that these are pretty great and bulletproof but obviously if you have enough time or in a shop with tools then the story changes. But it’s obvious that their sponsor of this guys the only question is is there any flaw in the locking mechanism ? Which can be its breaking point? Only time will tell
Hey pawinning I a question about unbreakable Rimgard? I don’t know if it’s true or not this what I read about them after over 6 month of use have you had any issues ? Like Your car's original wheel decal covers will never fit back to their original location, that is on the rim/wheel directly. It's because when they settle on the rimgard for so long, the tension is more tighter on the rimgard than your rim/wheel. If you decide to remove the rimgard and put back your car's wheel emblem directly to the rim/wheel, let's say for service or some other wheel work or if you sale your car, be prepared to buy 4 Wheel emblem at least $100 or more depending on where you live and what kind of car you drive.
Thanks for commenting and for the question! I've only had these rimgard locks for a few months now, but I can report that I don't see any fitment issues with my factory wheel center caps. I just removed the modules this week to install a set of aftermarket wheels. The modules definitely needed some leverage with a plastic trim removal tool to pull them out from the wheels, but I made sure not to tighten them down too tight so each one wasn't to fussy to remove. I also found that the factory center caps still fit snug in the wheels.
Thank you for your message.. if you could let me know the next three months if anything happens to your wheel.. and thanks again for your time and service on your RUclips channel..
I have a new 22 Elantra Limited. The Aluminum wheels cost $400 and are very eye catching (to me) . I'm trying to determine if it's worth the cost for me to buy wheel locks.
The biggest deterrent is cost and the need for OEM alloy wheels AND the few brands and models they make for. Who steals oem wheels on just a toyota honda etc?
Which Rimguard specifically are the ones in the video? I think we have the same Accord (2k21 Touring) but when I click the link and select the silver color, it only shows the ones for the Accord Sport rims.

Try asking Rimgard if they would sell just the putty! You might honestly be able to use eraser putty but idk if it's as sticky. And lol I understand your perspective, but I've known people who have had expensive tires on old oem wheels and it seems like sometimes the theft just targets tires 🤷🏻♂️
@@Pawinning mmmh I didn’t think about having expensive tires. But I was jk bro, if it makes u sleep better at night then it’s worth it. Yeah I’m on the hunt for that putty now. I’ll prob end up taking the tire off to install my type r center caps on my sedan 🍚 🚘
The only way is not to buy any used tires from shady shops. BUT there will always be people going to get those which are also shady people. Never ending. It sucks.
It really isn’t for everyone. I think it’s ugly and bulky, especially for after market rims. I don’t see this looking good on my Advan wheels. Nonetheless, good review video, man. Keep it up.
just use the stock rims and drive something that works. After market rims are never as good as stock and changing then for looks is just dumb. And if you break one, its easy to get another one, and easy to have a full size spare. Function before fashion.
That's not the only point here. When they stole the rims of my Volvo they caused a lot of damage under my car since it ended up on the ground. The total repair cost ended up at 6000 USD and the car was at the repair shop for almost two weeks since some paint job needed to be done.
I did see this wheel lock broken and removed on another channel that tests wheel locks. There were no wheel locks that couldn't be defeated, it was a matter of how much time it took and these did take longer than others, so it's not a bad choice. Just like all locks, they are all defeatable it's about the difficulty level of the breach and time. The longer it takes the more of a deterrent it is. Criminals are lazy opportunists and unless they really need something, they will move on to easier prey.
$350 is a lot! And it adds weight to the tires. For that money and most likely for lit less I can easily buy 5 wheels locks and replace all my nuts with those and noone will try to solve the puzzle 😂
On a cold and gray Chicago mornin' A poor little honda wheel is stolen In the gheeetto Seriously dude in what kind of neighbourhood do you live where they steal wheels?
Nice rhyme 🤘. To be completely honest my neighborhood is fine, but with a few recent thefts in surrounding towns (and also seeing quite a few 10th gen accords and civics getting targeted on the fb groups for wheel theft), I was searching for something better than oem locking lug nuts just to keep my sanity since I dropped a decent amount on snow tires this year 👍
These are horrible and their commercial is crap lies. They show a pro thief trying to pry and pick these with no luck. However, 2 non professional thieves have a video showing you can pry these off in seconds with a cheap crow bar that most amateur thieves have and can afford
My opinion of wheel locks: 1. Easier to steal the car than stealing the wheels. 2. Very few wheels are popular enough to steal. 3. Wheel locks might be good but not guaranteed to stop the thief. In fact are you better off with getting new replacements from the insurance company or repairing the damage caused from an attempted theft? 4. Old school wheel locks off all my cars....not worth having to look for the lock key or losing the key. 5. Anything can be beat. .......just saying..........

I've seen these on a few cars, but didn't know what they were. Thanks for making another great video 🤘.
Thanks for watching! Yeah I saw these on a bunch of german cars and was surprised to know they offered them for Honda's 🙏
That turned out way better than I thought it was going to.
Besides a really cool product I thought that the putty part to remove the center cap was mind blowing. Great video and I'm glad to see your back.
