Canadian Ravens are waaay!! bigger than Fable she looks crow size to me.The ones around my place are huge. They are lovely smart birds.I enjoy corvids alot.
That is adorable…….her glee at taking the treats to hide them with a happy face and a hop and skip when she comes out of the aviary where she’s hidden the treats! This was a joy to watch, thank you.
Hope everything's going well for you over in the UK. We haven't heard from you in a while, but as long as you and your humans and birds are well, that's all that matters. But Fable and you are missed. ❤
Thank YouYoung lady and thank you Fable. I save my toast I don't eat when I dine out. When I get back home, I serve it to the crows They would caa. I would throw toast out the back window for them. It occurred to me that they have been the ones doing the training. Early in the day they come to the neighborhood and caa. That is my cue. So I feed them.. How if they would just talk to me... Perhaps that is too much. But it would be cool!!!
A lot of folks misunderstand how taking proper care of birds, domesticated, habituated to humans or wild, really revolves around safety issues. Fable and all your birds are so lucky to have such dedicated and knowledgeable people in their lives! And she sure is gorgeous with her new plumage.
I have a family of wild ravens, I thought how cool ot would be to provide them with some fun things to play with, but when I looked up what they might like I saw that they are very wary of new things in their environment, so I didn't want to scare them off, but I love seeing them especially when they sneak up on the squirrels.
Thanks for another fab video Amy. I don't have Ravens where I live but when I go to my favourite bird watching area I feed kibble to the Crows. They are able to spot me arriving from a great distance and fly to greet me (or rather get their treats). Their eyesight is incredible. They don't feed from my hand yet but they allow me to stand a couple of feet away as they eat.
How long have you been feeding them? The pair I feed, George and Mildred, often arrive with me but the closest they get is 2m/6ft. I’ve been feeding crows in general for the last 2 years and this pair only since last summer on and off. I got more consistent with my feeding for about 6months ago and it seems to be slowly working. For the last month I’ve been taking water and that has been a big success. Mildred loves to drink loads while George fly’s of to stash all the food for later. This week he’s started trying to bathe in his water bowl (just head and neck so far) so I’ve had to get a larger container in the hope that he will get in and have a proper wash.
@@thechumpsbeendumped.7797 Hi ya. I've been feeding the Crows (a group of three) at least once per week, sometimes three times per week, for about a year. I've been more successful feeding mealworms by hand to Robins and Great Tits and meat scraps and dog biscuits to Foxes. I shall be patient and persist in my attempt to hand feed the Crows. Thank you for showing an interest. Good luck with George & Mildred 😊.
@@victoriafisher6934 I used to feed mine hotdogs, sausages, ham slices and cheese and they *love* them all but recently I found out that salt is quite bad for them. Mealworms and suet blocks for birds are crow crack and any unseasoned trimmings of meat, minced beef, chicken or pork, unsalted peanuts, grapes all go down very well. There are a coupe of very informative vids on YT on what’s good and bad to feed them. If I can find the link I’ll post it here.
For people who don't know much about birds: long time aviary people and conservationists here. This is our knowledge and experience. We don't agree with cages except for old and disabled birds, but birds LOVE a decent aviary. Your average bird flies as little as possible, generally speaking, because it is too expensive energetically. The 'wild' birds you see in the garden etc might look like they spend all day in the air, but that's just because you only notice them when they're flying. The exception to this rule are gliders and specialised aerial hunters ie seabirds and swallows, because they are shaped specifically for speedy flight, don't flap much and it's fairly neutral energetically for them to be in the air. Smaller birds are generalists as far as locomotion is concerned; they spend much more time hopping, climbing, walking and foraging than they do flying. They fly to 'do stuff' and that's it- it's not recreational. As long as smaller captive birds have enough room to fly a few metres and back to maintain their health, they are perfectly happy. It's much more important for them to have things to do, see and others to interact with because that's 90% of their natural behaviour. Larger birds need extra exercise periodically, as per falconry, but generally speaking, hawks etc sit on their arses most of the day in the wild, doing very little. Notice the wild ravens in the sky were gliding on the wind and not labouring; otherwise they would have been fucking about in the trees. You know you have a good environment for birds when wild birds install themselves around your aviary and spend all day trying to break into it to enjoy the life you're providing for its residents. Also, most domesticated bird species, even after a few generations in captivity, have lost any ability to survive without being pandered to by us. You can't just 'set them free'- they'll die in 48 hours. There are plenty of shitty bird keepers and facilities and we support their abolition, but the good ones are positive environments for everyone involved, birds and people. You wouldn't suggest wiping out dog ownership because a few people mistreat them. Birds and people have 1000s of years of history together and without this contact with other animals, many people would never get their start in environmentalism, animal welfare and academic advocacy for any number of species and habitats. It sucks that birds need us, because they shouldn't, but people have made a world where they absolutely do, for now. Please consider all of this before ranting against captivity and zoos etc. Hope that helps.
Always fun and educational watching Fabel. She looks to me to be very content. Plus obviously she is very well taken care of by Amy as evidenced by her healthy plumage and demeanour. I've been feeding three neighbourhood resident crows for the past two years with hopes that one day they will feed from my hand. That may never happen but I still consider them my friends as they certainly know me as a treat provider.
Fable never disappoints in her being a star for the camera! I'm amazed you aren't having to deal with a mass amount of ants or other types of insects with all those biscuits she hides 🤣! Your poor elderly dog and being tempted with yummy biscuits haha! Oh Fable you are a very cheeky girl!
Fable is amazing, so intelligent. People making uneducated assumptions on social media, judging unfairly based on their own bias as to what certain animals should behave like. They seem to think they know better than professionals and people who actually raise them their whole life. They voice their opinions like it’s facts, it’s actually the most disgusting part of social media.
Amy, always a pleasure to watch you and Fable interacting. She's a funny girl. When I was a youngster, we had a little dog (a circus dog in her own mind) that did many tricks, then immediately took the treats and hid them in the corner, under the buffet, in plain sight. We would pretend not to notice for a couple days, then clean them up, only to have a repeat experience. She provided much merriment. (*V*)
I love Fable and your wonderful channel! She's a really intelligent kid in a raven's body --- and lippy to boot! I'm in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, and we have a lot of crows --- and the only White (not albino) Ravens on the planet.
Thank you for sharing this. Fable asking for things was incredible. Fable choosing violence and hiding her food was fascinating to watch but hilarious at the same time.
I'm so in love with Fable 💕🐦🥰💖 I love her little hops and running 😂😂😂❤🐦 I 💯 believe she has the best life with you Amy 💓💖🐦💗💗 I wish all the birds were as safe and lived like Fable 💕🐦

I just love Fable so much! 😍 She steals the show in every video. 😂 It's wonderful how much joy she brings people. And my what a charmed life she lives! We should all be so lucky! Lol Boop ❤ boop ❤ Fable!!
the blue tinge in her feathers when the sun is at a certain angle is just amazing to look at. She is really beautiful. oh, just noticed, copper at others angles ... wow.
What a FUNNY character Fable is! So fun to watch her fill her crop and then go back to her aviary and "hide" the goods! She brings alot of joy to everyone that watches her!
That's great that you give her some mental stimulation with that toy because I'm sure they really need it since they're so smart! Great job! That looks like a lot of fun too! Love the bright colors! I'd love to know if they can see bright yellows like that.
Just love watching. Love all wildlife but favorite are large birds. Have loved Ravens since a child. Such loves. Thank you for bringing Fable's daily cuteness this way.
It seems no one's immune to the heat right now, even in Scotland! Great to see you and Fable again. The fence looks perfectly OK to me.. Does the job! Nice one Amy and Fable. KAARK! 🌟🌟👍
I love the Fable videos so much. They’ve really helped me tell the difference between the crows and the ravens in my neighborhood! In 2021 - 2022 I kept having rather magical experiences with one of the ravens. I started bring cat treats. The crows decided they wanted the park area (which is very small compared to where you are. It’s a dog park with some large old trees on part of the border.). The murder of crows dive bombed a small hawk (maybe a Cooper’s hawk?) out of the area. Finally the Ravens moved. I enjoy watching you & Fable. My brother raised a crow and set it free. But it came back to his upstairs bedroom the next day and then he would just let it come and go as it wanted. It would follow him to school and wait for him after, flying through the trees until they were home. Then he would set in the yard and play games with him. Your video brought back those great memories of my brother and his crow.
I love her! I have crows and ravens where I live and I love them but they are always scared of me. They walk around and search for food on the grass and they are so cute.
You are so lucky, I love Ravens. We had a pair that would visit us often here in NYC. They are amazing huge birds but seeing a visit is getting very rare these days after Covid. I'm impressed that she can whack that seed thing really hard but it doesn't fall off the wall! That's great! And she can probably take some of her aggression out on it! lol Woo hoo!!
This was such a treat! It's always lovely to see Fable enjoying some enriching activities. I loved how she bounded in and out of her aviary with such enthusiasm.
I didn't realize how big ravens are. She's a beautiful bird, and obviously extremely intelligent.
I think you were thinking of a Crow , Ravens are bigger
I was thinking the same thing, I didn't realize how big she was!
They are self-confident and great animals🦅💖💜
... and dangerously delightful 🙃
Canadian Ravens are waaay!! bigger than Fable she looks crow size to me.The ones around my place are huge. They are lovely smart birds.I enjoy corvids alot.
She walks out of the aviary SO proudly after hiding her treats! 🤣🤣🤣🥰
Treats? What treats? I wasn't hiding any treats! You didn't see me hiding any treats. . . .
It's nice to see you and Fable again!
Tis indeed.
Ullo U2 😊 Lots o' love !
Tranquility conveyed through a 22 inch screen, much appreciated!
Same here @J Sari it is heaven for me. 😊
"If there's anything Ravens love to do, is to stab things violently" 😂
New fave toy. Yellow stabby snak wheel!
That is adorable…….her glee at taking the treats to hide them with a happy face and a hop and skip when she comes out of the aviary where she’s hidden the treats! This was a joy to watch, thank you.
Fable's black feathers are wonderfully shiny.... Thanks Amy for being such a caring mother to your remarkable bird!
One always finds the best of mankind in these kinda videos, don't you?🖤
Hope everything's going well for you over in the UK. We haven't heard from you in a while, but as long as you and your humans and birds are well, that's all that matters.

It strikes me that your relationship with Fable is like a lovely mum and toddler 😊 x❤
Good to see you and the family are well
The little hooligan is really enjoying herself. 😍😁

WOW I've never knew of anyone having a raven as a pet, shes beautiful, ❤❤
Thank you! Fable is such a sweetie, such a smart bird! Boop Boop!
I enjoy watching you & Fable. My brother raised a crow and set it free. But it came back to his upstairs bedroom the next day and then he would just let it come and go as it wanted. Fable is gorgeous. Her feathers are glossy and looks stunning. What a wonderful life she’s living in ❤

If there's anything that ravens love, it's stabbing things violently xx😂
I love her! I have crows and ravens where I live and I love them but they are always scared of me. They walk around and search for food on the grass and they are so cute.
Havent seen. Fable video in some time. She looks great!

if you want a Raven to fall in love with you, give them very small pieces of room temperature raw liver

I need to get one of these toys. I have befriended both the crows and ravens at my job. The ravens prefer the roasted unsalted shelled peanuts, while the crows prefer the kitten food. Both will take either, though.

LOL ! When you asked her what she was doing... I could almost hear, I'm not doing nothing, just like a kid. I love this channel 🌹🌹🌹
Thanks for sharing more of Fabel with us. She's a joy to watch.

When Fable leaned too far and caught herself with her wing 😂
I always love a new video of Fable the happy raven. Mwah!! Boop Boop!
This was such a treat! It's always lovely to see Fable enjoying some enriching activities. I loved how she bounded in and out of her aviary with such enthusiasm.

You two are lovely❤
