It is fascinating how one can grasp just a little bit of bird communication by carefully listening and watching. I have had budgies at various stages of my life, but I still keep learning to understand some small nuances in their sounds. And sometimes I get so curious about what they are "talking" to each other, but will never know. Sometimes they sit next to each other and you can clearly tell that they are having a conversation in which they are taking turns. Not the excited type of chatting up on each other, but just a calm "dialogue" . It's so fascinating.
So glad to see you and Fable again. Always a pleasure as Ravens are my favorite birds. We live In the Canadian West where there are a lot of ravens and wild animals as well, so on my farm in the forest we had our full share of wild nature at its best. There’s a raven at my local pet store, he gets free range of the store. He does this thing where he snaps his beak as if he’s biting the air and it makes this really loud sound and he likes to follow customers around the store while doing it
It's also so funny when people don't believe that she's really talking! I have been fascinated with birds my whole life. When I was small child there was a crow at our local zoo. He had a little crayon box that he loved to store pennies in. He also would frequently say "Hello!" I have a lot of Blue Jays where I live and they are so good at mimicking other birds! I hear them making hawks sounds, crow sounds, and even Red-Winged Blackbird sounds! Thanks for sharing Fable with us!! Love her!
This is a cool channel, these birds are fascinating, thanks! I've only ever seen crows in Illinois. I must say though, Fable seems intimidating to me but beautiful too!
There are a whole bunch of Ravens near our place, and they will often make a strange almost mechanical sounding call. Usually when they are on top of a power pole or high in a tree. It's repetitive and is sometimes answered by another bird. It is always a pleasure to watch you interact with one of your birds. I have a soft spot for Fable, that's for sure, but really they are all magnificent.

I've heard they use it to lure predators to open up the corpse of another animal, before driving off the predator with pack tactics so they can enjoy the meal themselves. Wonderful birds.
So clever!
Never heard that before. So interesting!
I’ve heard Christians speaking in weird tongues which just sound like random babble? Go figure!
my stupid ass read Rocks
That's amazing how they pick up not only the word pronunciation but also the general voice properties to sound exactly like the person they are mimicking.
It just makes me happy knowing that people like you exist. I hope the baby is doing fine as well. Fable seems to be enjoying herself at the new place. Best of luck !
Always wanted a raven. Love watching fable. Thank you for sharing.
Fascinating animals! There is a nesting pair at my work, and they have the best chatters, with Cronks, and Brrrrrrrbs, and Pops. They’ve gotten used to me, and I give them their space, but they do fly down to within 20 feet of me.
What a lovely friend to have.
Missed you and Fable! Hope all is well with the Fam!
What a beautiful bird. Thank you for showing her to us, and telling us so much about them.😊❤
Fable in a sociable mood is a delight. We got everything except "wow", which is my favourite. Maybe next time.
I brighten whenever you guys show up in my feed. I love you and Fable. My son is embarrassed because I unconsciously walk around going 'boop boop'.
Hej, same 😂
Walking around, saying boop boop is very comforting to me😊
Fable is absolutely amazing and the most beautiful bird. Boop boop!!
Sadly now old age and poor health has made my wife and I move to town nearer to the Rockie Mountains where Ravens come to my balcony and greet me every morning. I believe they helped me get through the covid 19 isolation through the last 2 years.. Very best wishes I love you both.P
Amy, you and Fable make a great pair, she really knows, and trusts you. Her vocabulary is impressive, and Fable is an amazing Raven!
I hope you little one is doing well. I am fascinated with Ravens and enjoy seeing Fable. Your interactions plus her activities are lure me to watch every time.
Thank you for educating us...i do however feel Fable is exceptional 🙏🏻 Your interaction is incredibly powerful ❤
Fable is exceptional and extraordinary 😍 😅
So great to see you and Fable again. Crows visit my backyard in North Carolina US. I’ve heard their “purring” call. I have be quiet and move slowly or they clam up and fly away. Clearly the call has specific meanings for them. My wife regularly puts peanuts out where they gather. They also live out fig bush when the figs are getting ripe.
Sorry they love our big Bush
What's more wholesome than this?! We love you Fable and Amy! Love a fellow Amy 💋
I just pulled out my WOW fable boop boop t-shirt from the wash and thought "there hasn't been a fable video in a while" and just a few minutes later a new fable video popped up. 💞👍😂 Boop Boop🎉
You need to do that more often then.
Busy Mama hasn't had as much time for videos
@@anne-mariebryan725 That babies first words are going to be boop boop.
@@FrankBenlin 😂🤣😂
Very educational and interesting. Thanks for this. Ravens fascinate me.
Size wise Fable is impressive. A very large raven I knew, was called HonkHonk by employees by a FredMeyer. Due to his
fondness for flying very low over rows of cars.
Setting off proximity alarms. She is lovely.
I absolutely love Fable. She has been quite an ambassador for corvids. Thank you so much for sharing her with us. Boop Boop!
Hi Amy always excited to hear from Fable +++ You !!!! 😁
Your energy is so warming and delightful !!!
Boop-Boop ... Wah ... 💋Wah. .💋 !!!
Take care you guys !!!! 💖
I have tears from your story and seeing the plight of these birds and how you rexcued them and cared for them. They are so loved! And happy now! The world is more complete with you in it. God bless you all.
I LOVE Raven”s so much oh how I wish I had one to interact with me like Fable 💓 ohhh they are fascinating 💗
Watched this a year ago and just re-watched it. Informative for sure. But also GREAT FUN!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
From Canada ❤🇨🇦❤

Great video Amy loved learning more about ravens and fable
Thank you so much for your channel. I love watching you with Fable, and learn so much from you. I see Ravens everyday in the parking lot of my store and am so fascinated by them now. The video really shows Fables sheer size, and how majestic she is. You have made us all fall in love with her..Thanks again.
I have to say, it is a delight to see your relationship with Fable. ❤️ Birds are fascinating creatures anyway, but some just stand above the rest. ❤️
You can tell Fable loves you by her demeanor, how her head and neck feathers fluff when she tips her head down. Crows behave similarly, I used to have a pet crow. They do like a lot of attention from their owners!
What a cherry end of my day seeing and listening to Fable. The information you shared with us is most welcome and interesting. Isn’t she just the cheeky bird!? 🥰❤️🥰
I absolutely LOVE how much Fable loves you! Mimicking you left and right here!
Boop Boop , Mmmwahhh ! Hello Fable ! You too Amy, I'm so glad you talked about this ! Always happy to see you have posted a new video.
Boop Boop you beautiful creature !💙
First time ever to hear the raven speak like a human (you). I really think Fable is interacting, and she understands somehow our conversations. Just awesome !!
What a nice little friend she is! She loves your company!💜
Love her!
If i remember correctly......Blue Jays are part of the Corvid family.....so that makes sense.
@Tentegen Right, blue jays are corvids. Australian magpies, however, are not. There are great subs for bird lovers on Reddit
Thanks for showing these lovely videos.I Looked after an injured Raven .It did recover Released it back into the wild but would often come back and visit for a time.My son loved looking after him.Was thrilled when it visited us.
When I visited an avery there was a raven who would talk to me .They are a fascinating Bird.
So beautiful! I didn’t realize she was so large!
Although the subject has me watching, the perfect explanation is very nice to see. Knowledge like this only comes from someone with real commitment. Interesting to see those that are well spoken and informed in their passions.
I love Fable she is such a lovely Corvus ! And look at those lovely new winter feathers all shinny . I have parrots so find her very endearing .
I hope your all settled into you new home now and baby is well and growing fast xxx
What a wonderful video! God bless you and Fable! Praying for you
Fascinating thank you. It's good to see you again and hope you and your family are doing well 👍
We are very well thank you 😊
My Raven is saying "Don't bite the dogs"
Not what I was trying for as far as talking! Definitely what I wanted in behavior! LOL! They actually get along well!
I've been recording our interactions! Blessing and Experience of my lifetime!
Hi 👋 I miss you 2 Those noises are lovely
Happy to see you & Raven settled in Scotland. You all make the world a better place.
Brilliant! New, and wonderful, content. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and Fable.
You two are well paired! Both smart, loving and witty. Made my heart smile! 🙋🏼♀️ 🐦⬛🫶
What a treat, 2 of my favorite ladies brightening my rainy day. Amy thanks for sharing with us, i know your time is precious. i have been waiting for this video with the explanation of fable's vocalizations. i loved all the information, hugs to you both.....boop boop :)
I always forget how big ravens actually are! Such beautiful birds. Awesome video.
Such a joy to find this video - its a totally charming bird --- and she is so beautifull 🎶🖤🎵
You are both so fantastic! Thank you for taking so much of your precious time [now that you are raising your little man as well] to educate us about your animals, it brings us a lot of joy. And understanding. Hugs! 💚💚
Are you a woman?
Amazing clarity of the sounds. I kept cringing because her beak was so close to your eye! I think Fable is just beautiful and any thoughts I had on corvid being "creepy" has been dispelled.
there's clearly a lot of trust built between the two of them, she trusts Fable's beak so close to her face ❤ and Fable trusts her enough to climb around on her like a jungle gym, haha
I never cared much for big black birds. Seeing you and Fable has changed my mind.
The sounds are exactly like a person. Amazing.
Really enjoyed this. Educational and fun. Fable is a beauty x
Amazing..I had no idea until recently that Ravens not only can mimic human sounds but better than any bird I've ever heard! Also, that is one sharp looking beak, it made me nervous for her eyeballs..lol
I love how her tail feathers and wings move when she makes noises ❤️ 😍
