Amy, I was so happy to see you post again! Even though your uploads are infrequent, thank you for sharing your life with us. It fills my heart with joy to have been educated on such wonderful creatures as birds of prey. There are a pair of ravens that just moved in where I live and watching them waddle around is my favorite thing in the world.
The footage of Fable flying across that beautiful land was the best thing I've seen all day! Thank you and love to all of you!

Been feeding some wild crows for some weeks, and we recently had the first snowfall of the season. Let me tell you, they were NOT pleased with the icky white stuff! The peanuts, on the other hand, were greatly appreciated

Hello from the southern United States! We missed seeing you guys and the amazing Fable. It's nice to hear the famous boop boops again! I can't imagine how busy you are trying to run a homestead, take care of a busy 1 year old and all of those beautiful birds. After a hectic week, it is such a joy to see Miss Fable!
I've been a friend of your channel for quite awhile, and gave a like to every video but I've never commented. Seeing Alfie here pushed me over the edge. I'm sure millions of people all over the world are like me and have been fascinated by falconry from childhood. Sadly very few of us will ever own, hunt or have the privilege of caring for these enchanting birds. So on behalf of all of us allow me to thank you, James, Alfie, and all your lovely animals for providing us the vicarious experience of what is to be a falconer. And please, the next time some numbscull criticizes your work think of us, the over a quarter of a million of your friends who love and admire you and what you do. Now off into the wild blue yonder !
I just finished reading a fantastic book called 'A Most Remarkable Creature' by Jonathan Meiburg, and I thought often of this channel while doing so. The book is filled with history, both human and natural, and describes the various species of caracara falcons in South America. They are not like the 'true' falcons in that they are social, curious omnivores; more like Fable than your other birds. There is so much fascinating detail and description. I just cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone who follows this channel, or for those who make it!
And you and Alfie tossing rocks into the stream took me right back to doing the same with my young son 20 years ago! He's nearly done with engineering school now. Time truly does fly.

American culture tend to vilify these birds but I have been attracted to them for a very long time for their intelligence, their mischievousness and now, as your videos about Fable show, their boundless affection. Thank you for sharing this extra ordinary bird as some Native Americans exalt as deities. Boop Boop and mu-ah!

Rookie question - when the birds are confined to quarters because of the cold/bad weather, do they not find it stressful and think "My neighbour wants to eat me"/"I want to eat my neighbour"? They seem happy enough, to me, but that also seems odd
They are regularly house at night by the same birds so they are used to each other. Not friendly...but tolerant.

Those pheasants are wild? I've never been able to get close to any wild pheasant. Normally they give me a heart attack when the explode from cover as I'm casually walking a trail.
Looks like all the animals are doing well. It becomes a lot more expensive to feed the birds in winter time. They keep inviting friends without a proper RSVP.

My daughter and I have been watching your videos since she was born 16 months ago. We have chickens, finches, cockatiels, and a cat, but the smile my daughter gets on her face when she sees Fable is completely special. Being that my wife and I both work, we totally get how life gets BUSY and content has to be prioritized properly, which means it just needs to wait cuz everything else is more important. In addition to full time work, I used to stream at night, but I've had to chill on that for awhile to prioritize helping this kid at night with reading before bed and teething and all the thing that come with kiddos, and it's the most wonderful thing in the world. Glad to see you and your family are enjoying it, too! Wishing you the best and thank you for your work!

Careful leaving hoses attached to your house bibs in freezing weather, if the water can't drain out of the faucet completely it can freeze all the way back inside the wall and split the pipe causing a big mess inside when it thaws... Best practice is to disconnect them👍

I remember feeding the chooks and ducks as a kid….it was our job and I loved it too, just like Alfie. So nice to hear from your little family Amy, and glad to hear things are ok. Hope you three, the birds and the dogs all have a great Christmas….it was cool to see Fable too and great to see her flying….I don’t think she appreciates the cold much even tho she’s perfectly able to deal with it, so I’m sure your chauffeur services are welcome, if not entirely “required” lol.
