No other center could do what Hakeem did at such an elite level. No other big man could block better, shoot better, pass better, or steal better. Hakeem gets slept on and it's a crying shame. He humiliated Shaq while he played and these are facts.

    • @SamoaVsEverybody814
      @SamoaVsEverybody814 2 года назад +9

      @@kaleta349 I have Hakeem #1 bcus he was the only guy to ever win a title with no other Allstars or HOFers. The 2nd one he was a 6 seed and ran thru 2 50+ win and 1 60+ win teams on his way to sweeping Shaq in the Finals. That 60+ win team featured a MVP David Robinson that Hakeem annihilated bcus Hakeem got snubbed for the MVP by DRob. Those back to backs were 2 of the greatest playoff runs in NBA history, and I know MJ was out playing baseball, but are we that sure he was gonna just automatically beat unconscious, chip on his shoulder, tunnel-vision supremely focused prime Hakeem over 7gms?? Imma diehard Laker fanatic who grew up watching both in the 80s/90s, but Hakeem was a different animal. Kareem as much as I love him played extremely weak competition in his first title with Oscar & the Bucks. That title run was a cakewalk. He was traded to the Lakers in the mid-70s and went half a decade without another title till Magic came in 1980. It wasn't all Magic, Kareem was FMVP for the Lakers in 87 and really stepped up when Magic was hurt, but you gotta understand Hakeem did it with nobody against VASTLY superior competition. Same thing with Kareem's MVPs as well, alot of it was lack of competition. Hakeem played in the Golden Age of big me. Guys like Shaq, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, Mt Mutombo, and many more, even PFs like Karl Malone, Hakeem destroyed them all. Put them on skates and made them look foolish, as well as swat and slap away everything in his vicinity defensively with his deceptively quick hands. Nobody hustled like Hakeem on the court
      That's why Hakeem is the goat center, despite having a short resume of accolades. He was robbed of at least 1 MVP, and when he got to the promised land he performed everytime. Both in the clutch and over the course of entire games and seasons
      I worship Kareem as a Laker purist. No one was better OR greater than the amazing Dream Olajuwon bro
