      I'm not sure the first trigger from Conduit of Ruin would work with the copy from Ulalek. From my understanding, the trigger would resolve once, shuffling the deck and putting a 7 drop on top. But once the 2nd trigger resolves, upon finding a second 7 drop, the forced shuffle would tuck the first drop you found back into the deck. Still a great include though, with a cost reduction of 4.

      You can go infinite with the echoes of eternity, Ulalek, and the Spawn Gang Lieutenant by sacrificing two of the three spawns created to keep paying for the ulalek triggers and then make infinite spawns and sacrifice them to the Lieutenant to kill everyone at the table. Also you can just one shot kill everyone with Aetherflux Reservoir by copying the ability with ulalek and echoes. Just some of the few things you can do with Ulalek :)

    I did get a turn 5 win with this deck out of the box. Similar to what you mentioned in the start of the video, but i had ulalek down on turn 2 because of a sol ring into talisman start. Then i copied Glaring Fleshraker on turn 3, copied Chittering Disptcher on turn 4, then attacked with both dispatchers on turn 5. With the myriad triggers on the stack, i cast Eldritch Immunity (C eldrazi instant) that gives a target (the fleshrakers) protection from all colors and copied everything on the stack. 8 damage from spawns entering. 16 damage from dispatcher copies entering. That was 37 damage to each opponent before the 6/8/6 going at face and a pending 16 damage at the end of the turn when the 8 myriad copies left the battlefield and each left a spawn behind.

    I had a hard time taking out Skittering Invasion just because if you copy it (it is a tribal Eldrazi card after all), then you’re getting 10 blockers AND 10 colorless mana for only 9 mana. I also threw in every colorless cost reducer I could find (like Herald of Kozilek or It That Heralds the End), basically making it so you can duplicate your big beaters crazy fast. Also, Leyline of Anticipation, Alchemist’s Refuge, Urza’s Battlethoper all give your spells flash as well. But the best flash enabler is Skittering Cicada, which gets +X/+X and trample for the mana cost of a colorless spell you cast. As a reminder, that is a cast trigger that will be duplicated with Ulalek, so you can incidentally make your 3-drop suddenly become a 17/17 trampler.

      @@miekamariehodson1731 I keep putting that in and then taking it out. It's great, and doubles as insurance for the chromatic lantern everyone's gonna throw in there, but in the end, you really would rather have in the early game mana rocks/ramp spells that are 2-3, maybe 4 mana if you're stretching it. If you don't reduce the # of cheap ramp in order to fit Orrery into your deck, then you are trading it for interaction, card draw, or big Eldrazi payoffs, which in my limited experience is the hardest part of a deck to balance. So it keeps getting cut, as much as I keep trying to put it back in.
      [Oh, and the ancillary card draw it might have provided with its second ability gets squandered because only a handful of cards at most in your deck will cost colored mana and not have 'devoid.' Feels bad.]

If they aren't maximizing their profit, that means they are sacrificing money on each sale... which means they have to sell more than a store that does. Abaout the Conduit of Ruin, you can't stack the top of your library with two scary things unless you manage to draw the first scary thing (from the copied ability) before the other ability (original one) resolves.

      @kstephenson5857 6 месяцев назад +1

      The precon does come with some card draw, most notably Garruk's Uprising. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the copy of Conduit will resolve, you put your chosen card on top of your library, and then Garruk's Uprising would trigger before your second Conduit would resolve, correct?
      And yeah I know that card is literally 1/98 in your deck (sans Ulalek and Conduit), but that's why I threw in as much card draw as I could into my upgraded precon

    •  6 месяцев назад +3

      @@kstephenson5857 I'm pretty sure you're right. If the stack looks like this:
      Conduit spell < Conduit cast trigger < Conduit spell copy < Conduit cast trigger copy
      If you copied with Ulalek, then it works. Because you have a copy of the creature entering between the cast triggers. The creature entering would trigger Garruk's uprising, thus making it possible to draw the card before the original cast trigger resolves.
      Copying any other way that doesn't copy the body would not work with Garruk's Uprising, but having any way to draw a card at instant speed would still allow to get the card on top between the cast triggers (Prophet of Distortion, Snapping Voidcraw, Endbringer, Kozilek's Command, to name examples with the Eldrazi subtype).

    If you put it on the stack AFTER Ulalek's trigger, it can help you pay for the trigger when you might otherwise not be able to.

    I played against this deck since my friend had a 5 color Eldrazi deck before this and it was pretty decent then, but now my god is it strong. The stack gets so high from all the copiees that you may as well be playing a storm deck.
    ONE thing I have to emphasize above all else is to make sure you practice this deck with players who are masters of the stack, ideally a judge because we took a few minutes during each activation to sequence it right due to the fact that this is now a truly well supported tribal deck.
    So you can run all the tribal synergy cards in full force along with all the new powerful eldrazi token generators, annihilate triggers, and cards like Kindred summons. And this heavily complicates the stack. To give you an example of how op this deck can be. I swords to plowshared Ulalek the turn he came out, and my friend still almost won the game due to how strong the new eldrazi tribal synergies are now, even without the commander.
    Also, anyone who wants to play this commander, don't be shocked if it's removed instantly, this deck is so freaking strong with all it's mana reductions and just every other spells creates spawns and scions so you have even more mana to work with. And now that you're in 5 colors, you have every possible answer to any situation in the game

      @famousstranger8468 the cascade rule text reads: "when you cast this spell", which is indeed a trigger.
      Throne doesn't work with Zhulodok because Z gives the spell on the stack cascade, rather than himself, so it's not a trigger of a creature permanent. Ulalek operates differently.

    • @Tornven2003
      @Tornven2003 6 месяцев назад +1

      I've been experimenting with Zhuludok. I figure you kill the original leaving the token in play because there's that shapeshifter that is basically gravedigger (return creature to hand from grave yard) but as it's classed as an eldrazi it can make another stack by itself and return OG zhuludok to hand and if you can keep copying mana rocks and eldrazi spawn etb's...

    At 1:05:00 you're talking about "not being able to copy" Kozilek's Unsealing. Though not in the way you probably intended.. you did mentioned flash before and you could technically copy is by casting this and casting a flash/instant eldrazi spell while it's on the stack :P

    I think one such potential card to put in an azalask deck, is rukarumel from the commander masters slivers deck. It makes 1/1 colorless slivers, and can make those slivers also be scions or spawn. You could additional throw in maskwood nexus as it makes all your things into scions and spawn, and can be a mana sink to make colorless tokens.

    My favorite addition to this is Ramos Dragon Engine. With him on the field bringing out Ulalek immediately gives him his 5 + 1/1 counters so now it’s a 9/9 or sack the counters for 10 colored mana. Now imagine if spells at some point are copied and you bring out Ulalek a second time…gives you all the mana you need for your powerhouses while saving your colorless lands

    All in all.... i think this was a great break down of the deck and really good suggestions throughout. however, id argue keeping Eldrazi Displacer IN the deck not only for protection, but because if you add Brood Monitor, you can potentially make infinite tokens when adding Echoes of eternity, which also give you infinite mana. as well as Glaring Fleshraker causing infinite damage. so basically short story version, keep Eldrazi Displacer in the deck and add Brood Monitor to the deck.

    I have a lot of questions about Echoes of Eternity.
    If I copy it on the stack and make two, when I cast my next spell and copy everything on the stack how many versions will there be? Because wont the two Echoes of Eternity see each other trigger and make each other trigger an additional time? Plus won't they make Ulalek trigger two additional times? and won't the following Ulalek triggers be able to copy everything that proceeded them including the previous Ulalek copies?
    So.......You cast a spell -- both echoes of eternity trigger twice making 4 copies -- Ulalek triggers 3 times -- with first ulalek trigger you copy the spell and the 4 copies -- with second Ulalek trigger you copy the spell, 4 copies, and the 5 copies from the previous Ulalek trigger -- with the last trigger you copy the spell, 4 copies, 5 copies from 1st, and all 10 from second.
    If everything works out and you're able to pay for the two additional activations of Ulalek then you're making 40 versions of the spell. The original and 39 copies

    • @myhairismessy3363
      @myhairismessy3363 6 месяцев назад

      Yes, copying Ulalek’s triggers leads to exponential copies of spells and triggers on the stack. This is an infinite combo as long as you have some way to generate an additional 2 colorless mana e.g. Drowner of Truth’s triggered ability

    Just a question Rachel, the two Glaring Fleshraker on play as you cast a Eldrazi spell trigger their 1st ability producing 4 tokens, but why didn't the 2nd ability of Glaring Fleshraker trigger twice for the 6 colorless entering play?... you mention 6 damage for 12... shouldn't it be 24 damage?

  • @NicoGarfias
    @NicoGarfias 6 месяцев назад

    0:25, Wouldn’t you only get 4 Fleshraker triggers?
    Copying a spell doesn’t count as casting. And Fleshraker is a “cast” trigger. So you wouldn’t get additional Fleshraker triggers for the copies from Ulalek.
    Or did I miss something? 🤔

    • @brianpendleton2674
