Capricious One comes to mind. Throw in Rogue's Passage with it and every time it deals damage, it creates Spawn tokens equal to the damage. While it's heavy on Casting Cost, that is crazy fast ramp that makes it quicker to call out the big guns.

To be fair, if you can copy skittering invasion, you’re paying 9 to produce 10 spawn that make 1 each. If you have echoes out and can cast another eldrazi on the stack, you can get 40 or more

  • @MrAnthem123

    3 questions:
1: so if I’m understanding correctly, Ulalek creates a token copy of each non-legendary card you have in play, so I’d have 2 From Beyond and 2 Urza’s Incubators?
2: Probably a dumb question, but do tokens count as spells for this effect? Like, would the amount of Eldrazi Spawns and Scions I’d have double?
3: would it make copies of previously made copies?

    • @CommanderMechanic
      @CommanderMechanic  Месяц назад

to hold priority is to respond to your own spell before opponents have a chance to. When you cast a spell normally each opponent gets a chance to respond and if they don't your spell immediately resolves. To hold priority is to ensure you get a chance to do something with an existing spell or ability on the stack before it resolves or checking to see if opponents let it resolve.

Honorable mentions to the following enchantments! :
Elemental Bound : Whenever a creature with power 3 or greater enters the battlefield under your control, draw a card.
Up the beanstalk : When Up the Beanstalk enters the battlefield and whenever you cast a spell with mana value 5 or greater, draw a card.
Emrakul's Influence : Whenever you cast an Eldrazi creature spell with mana value 7 or greater, draw two cards.
Path of Annihilation: (to help gain possible mana needed while sustain life to replace the damages you deal to your self due to pain lands.)
Devoid (This card has no color.)
When Path of Annihilation enters the battlefield, create two 0/1 colorless Eldrazi Spawn creature tokens with "Sacrifice this creature: Add Colorless."
Eldrazi you control have "Tap: Add one mana of any color."
Whenever you cast a creature spell with mana value 7 or greater, you gain 4 life.
For cost reduction, great choice whit Ursa incubator : Cloud Key!
Last of cost reduction, recommendation will be Shadow in the warp! A 3 cost Enchantment, 1 Generic and Red/Green
    Shadow in the warp:
The first creature spell you cast each turn costs 2 less to cast.
Whenever an opponent casts their first noncreature spell each turn, Shadow in the Warp deals 2 damage to that player.
It is a really great way to tax an opponent who want to get rid of your cards wile giving you the 2 mana needed for Ulalek ability!!
Finally, the last is an old classic Zendikar Resurgent can be used to replace or complement the 2 monument of this deck!
    Zendikar Resurgent :
Whenever you tap a land for mana, add one mana of any type that land produced. (The types of mana are white, blue, black, red, green, and colorless.)
Whenever you cast a creature spell, draw a card.
    ----
On a personal note yes Roaming throne in this deck is INSANE!
You also forget to mention a MASSIVE ramp card from the set!
    #1 :Sowing Myscospawn
Devoid (This card has no color.)
Kicker {1}{C} (You may pay an additional {1}{C} as you cast this spell.)
When you cast this spell, search your library for a land card, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle.
When you cast this spell, if it was kicked, exile target land.
    #2 : Territory Culler
Devoid (This card has no color.)
    Reach
Landfall - Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, look at the top card of your library. If it’s a creature card, you may reveal it and put it into your hand. If you don’t put the card into your hand, you may put it into your graveyard.
    --------
Also, replacing one or 2 big boys with those can make it more effective depending on who you face off!
    Bane of Bala Ged
    Conduit of Ruin
    Deceiver of Form
    Endless One
    Reality Smasher
    Thought Harvester
For big boy I strongly suggest : Kozilek, Butcher of Truth or Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre for the effect part : When XXXXX is put into a graveyard from anywhere, its owner shuffles their graveyard into their library.

I know this is mainly anecdotal knowledge, but Eldrazi Conscription won me game with this deck that I was sure to lose. I was playing against my friend who ran my Zhulodok deck, and right before he was able to hit me for an unblockable commander damage kill (we‘re two boardwipes into the game), I drew and cast Eldrazi conscription, copied it with ulalek, put both on him and oneshot with commander damage. Suddenly the 2/5 is a voltron commander and can retaliate like crazy. IMO that alone was cool enough for me to keep it in.

A lot of the same thoughts I had when I looked at the deck. Ultimately, an Eldrazi deck is very strong and I opted for a different randomized approach with shuffling in Eldrazi from a stack to reduce power level.
One question; how did you get $118.80 to show up on Moxfield for a deck that is over $250 out of the box? Is there a setting that only shows upgrades? EDIT: revised to cheapest and price is almost exact. Seems that whoever originally uploaded the pre-con didn't set to cheapest version for cards.

me when roaming throne + the new kindred eldrazi enchantment + ulalek's ability = infinite card draw technically
    Like
all you need to do is cast rishkar's expertise
    choose a 5 cost eldrazi
pay 2 colorless mana from ulalek's trigger
UH OH thats not just 2 colorless mana, make it 6 and then copy ALL spells like 18 times and draw your whole deck
cause it will double once from the first one, but would also double the triggered abilities AGAIN, so it isnt just 6
ulalek's trigger would get doubled by roaming throne, which those 2 will also be doubled by the kindred eldrazi enchant
    so
2 ulalek after roaming throne, which would add another 4 because of the Echos of eternity, ON TOP OF DOUBLING THE TRIGGERS AGAIN
so initially 1 trigger, then 2, then 4. JUST FROM ONE TRIGGER, it gets far too complex to even think
but ima try to get the calcs:
    initial trigger
    first roaming throne trigger
then add 2 triggers from echos of eternity.
HOWEVER remember: ulalek's triggered ability states: "Whenever you cast an eldrazi spell, you may pay 2 colorless (not generic mana), if you do copy ALL spells you control, as well as all other activated and triggered abilities"
remember that typically "if" in mtg means its a triggered ability, so technically (correct me if im wrong but ill calc it both ways anyway)
so lets do the more complex one first:
so ulalek's initial trigger + roaming throne + echoes + one more roaming throne
so thats what the stack would look like, first we resolve the copied roaming throne's trigger so we pay 2 mana, which doubles our spells and activated and triggered abilities and adds 2 more ulalek triggers from roaming throne, another 3 from echoes of eternity triggering from ulalek and roaming throne.
so we're already at 10 ulalek triggers 💀
and this is just from resolving 1 of the triggers, now remember this isnt duplicating ulalek's trigger, its duplicating the triggers of echoes and roaming throne, and yeah its already getting out of hand and pretty sure you wouldnt have enough mana to do this for a while, however if you do it with rishkar's expertise it allows you to continually draw cards and play free stuff so you vomit it out all onto the board, because you copy the copies cause they are cast and are on the stack no matter what.
TLDR: Ulalek + Roaming throne + echoes = chaos for everyone
one spell caused 4 triggers which then went to 10 real fast and that was after paying for one of ulalek's triggers
with this you can draw your whole library by playing one rishkar's expertise

Ugin's eye is a bit expensive but should it be your next buy if you want to invest a bit more in deck? What about conduit of ruin or the new 4CMC eldrazi mytocist ramp creature, nulldrifter? Not as expensive and can be copied, have great synergi with the rest of stuff. Thoughts on these?

Mytocist isn’t where I’d prefer it on the curve it’s pushing right at the cut off of where I’d include ramp. Eye of Ugin and Ugin’s Labyrinth are both FINE inclusions but far from necessary - they’d be like adding Ancient Tomb into your deck. And Nulldrifter is a good include for sure.

Could you do a video where you explain stack combo's that utilize Ulalek, reflections of littjara and echoes of eternity? I'm trying to understand the insane copying and looping that its alows to do but its melting my brain.
    Can this work?:
On field: ulalek, reflections of littjara and 3 echoes of eternity
    eldrazi creature spell
littjara trigger to copy creature spell
    ulalek trigger (pay 2 colorless)
    echoes #1 copy ulalek

echoes #2 copy echoes #1 spell cast trigger
echoes #3 copy echoes #1 spell cast trigger
    echoes #2 copy ulalek
    echoes #2 copy creature spell
echoes #1 copy echoes #2 spell cast trigger
echoes #3 copy echoes #2 spell cast trigger
    echoes #3 copy ulalek
    echoes #3 copy creature spell
echoes #1 copy echoes #3 spell cast trigger
echoes #2 copy echoes #3 spell cast trigger
And am I allowed full control over where to place all these simultanious effects going off, so as to make the stack more valueable?
    to get something like this:
    eldrazi creature spell
littjara trigger to copy creature spell
    ulalek trigger (pay 2 colorless)
    echoes #1 copy creature spell
echoes #2 copy echoes #1 spell cast trigger
echoes #3 copy echoes #1 spell cast trigger
    echoes #1 copy ulalek
    echoes #2 copy creature spell
echoes #1 copy echoes #2 spell cast trigger
echoes #3 copy echoes #2 spell cast trigger
    echoes #2 copy ulalek
    echoes #3 copy creature spell
echoes #1 copy echoes #3 spell cast trigger
echoes #2 copy echoes #3 spell cast trigger
    echoes #3 copy ulalek
This is one run without even resolving an echoes copy of ulalek to double everything, thats what makes me super confused.
How would the stack continue to look like once an echo copy of ulalek gets payed and resolved, and so on.
Would love a video about it from someone who is experienced, I just started mtg 2 weeks ago and trying my best to fully grasp it so I don't make illegal or suboptimal plays.

    • @CommanderMechanic
      @CommanderMechanic  3 месяца назад +1

There are some nuances that are missed - for instance the Echoes trigger doubler is not itself a trigger, it's a static ability. Meaning as soon as Ulalek's trigger goes on the stack so do all the copies. All the copies need to be paid for individually to prevent infinite stacks like what you've implied in your example!

    • @CrapsGoodxD
      @CrapsGoodxD 3 месяца назад

@@CommanderMechanic every echoes resolution of ulalek needs to be paid you mean?
And if the first line is static the second is surely a trigger, which can be copied? and also when a copied ulalek resolves does it not copy this other ulalek trigger, since it sees it as another instance of a trigger and not himself?
Can multiple echoes of eternity also not double the copying of a spell cast trigger (second effect) from the other copy of echoes of eternity as implied above (since it also changes the outcome of another noncolered permanent, which should be the other copies of echoes)

"Ulalek is what happens when two Eldrazi titans dip into a plane at the same location from the Blind Eternities. An amalgamation of Ulamog and Kozilek lineages, Ulalek's presence amplifies both the innate tendencies of Ulamog spawn to warp physical properties and Kozilek spawn to warp reality.[2] Its influence on a plane is constantly shifting as if the substance of its being is constantly in flux.
Ulalek has only ever appeared once, on a plane that has long since been reduced to a drained husk and whose name has faded from memory.[1] Since then, it is unknown if Ulalek as a being still exists, or if it came apart once the aspects of Ulamog and Kozilek that made it up withdrew back into the Blind Eternities."

Cutting Wastescape Battlemage is a bad recommendation. The deck has very little interaction and if you double kick it, AND copy it with Ulalek, you can naturalize two things and bounce two things for 7 mana. That's pretty good

...when you really want to strain your grey matter. My friends and I were playing "chill" competitive magic intending to throw down about 4-5 quick games in an hour. Echoes of Eternity hits the board and very competent players with good knowledge of the stack all simultaneously just went "F*$&, this is going to be rough resolving stacks." Board had Ulalek, Roaming Throne, and Echoes of Eternity out. Adding Archaic would have been a complete overload.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you can get Ulalek's trigger to resolve last by holding priority. You need a copy effect like strionic resonator for this to work. Normaly ulalek's trigger will be placed above the eldrazi spell on the stack, responding to this trigger does not delay it from entering the stack.

    • @CommanderMechanic
      @CommanderMechanic  3 месяца назад +1

You get to order your triggers, and can make sure ulalek’s trigger resolves FIRST, but if you want to add anything to the stack while your triggers are on and before an opponent has a chance to, you must hold priority and do it.

    • @Mitorah
      @Mitorah 2 месяца назад

@@CommanderMechanic I think he ment that if you cast an eldrazi, and the triggers go to the stack so that you have your copy trigger on top, you cant add activated abilities like Idol of Oblivion under the copy trigger anymore. If you activate Idol of Oblivion after casting eldrazi while holding priority, the activation will go on top of the stack and will resolve before the copy trigger of Olalek resolves.

@@CommanderMechanic good morning, I've been playing Eldrazi Incursion recently and I didn't understand this well either: at minute 1.45 you say that it's possible to cast an Eldrazi spell and keep priority on Ulalek's trigger to cast an instant and then allow Ulalek's trigger to position itself and solve it first and thus copy the whole stack. Did I misunderstand? Could you tell me where I find this rule because I tried to read about priorities but I didn't find anything thanks
