This people are lies there ass off
A longer track would really make a difference, doesnt even have to be prepped lol
you mean who gets to 40 first isn't good enough lol
He said it's right at an 1/8 of a mile. Unless you do interstate or some crazy country back road red light to red light is going to be the same results
Yea move the goal post to get the results you want.
A longer track the Mustang would of been a distant memory.
@@robertyoung8289 yeah it would have left the trx way behind
Glad they've tested Tundras with the Magnusson setup up.
At sea level, should do around 5 seconds for about $7k installed
A more practical option than a $75k TRX
That's a good point about the price difference, but don't forget the trx is the swiss army knife of trucks. They tried really hard to not make it a one trick pony.
@@jerkyturkey007 It's great, but a Tunrda TRD Pro is another great off-road vehicle, and is under $50k, plus tax, after discounts. Add $7k and it makes a lot of sense.
sure it is a beast that trx
What fun you guys have!
Spinning ain’t winning.
Ok, I said I was tired of TRX videos but now you've got me hooked! That was great fun. Damn you!!!! Hahaha.
Agree. Keep the real world drag racing going. Trucks onnthe streets aren't going to have slicks and your not going to be able to do burnouts at the stoplights to heat the tires up. Kudos to the TRX!
They should of left the red tundra with some street tires or maybe a/t tires then it would have been a totally different story. No way the trx would of had a chance.
Watching a tundra race is like watching a walrus chase donuts.
that......is a strange analogy ;)
I'm getting a Harrop for my white lifted Tundra. Way more efficient than the Mag. What skid plate do you have on the white?
Wish this wasn't so far for me. I haven't ever run at altitude but run 12 flat in Indy and would likely lose a half second at 5500 feet. Mine is a 2009 CCSB 4wd Chevy on an 800 tread wear tire. I really hope to catch a TRX at the track this spring to compare with my "sleeper".
Roman makes a great point at the end, you line up next to someone at a stoplight and you're not going to run it up to 100+ in a 1/4 mile race after a burnout. 700HP, AWD and even it's heavy weight help it hook up better and get off the line. This is the truck for you if you if you're tired of getting beat to the Starbucks drive through in suburban Texas. :D
Whats done to that single cab? I have one too&& that street doesnt hook good.
Love the series guys!
The ram is my dream truck
Saving up for it
I have the Raptor
I'm excited to see that new Jackal go up against the TRX, although I'm sure that Hellcat will kick butt. What an awesome truck, wish I could afford one!
Awesome videos. I've always wanted a 2nd gen lighting. This trx is savage.
Still prefer a Tundra over Rams ...any day
Love the TRX. Wish I had one. But I'm a chevy guy. I think the Chevy silverado Yenco s/c
Could take it in a drag race. My opinion Love the channel keep up the good work
Loved the video as usual guys and I loved that part about Real life vs prepped track, its so true!
My anecdotal view is that Andre is the best 0-60 driver at TFL. Kinda proves it by driving the Toyotec truck better than the owner of that truck. I'm curious of TFL keeps an internal tally of races vs each other.
The lighter Red tundra has no traction and kept hitting the rev limiter. Try sand bags in the bed. Tundra should have won it. There’s a guy on RUclips with a silver Tundra w/Magnussen and some mods. He ran 11.99 1/4 mile. So it has power.
This is the most exciting series of any out there....especially the GT500 against the TRX...In the real world as you mentioned, every TRX owner would be grinning ear to ear as he pulls away from almost anything but a TESLA...anyone offered that up yet?
Ram TRX ate All the Fords and now ate two Toys for for breakfast 😋 Mopar or nocar!
still unreliable owned by Fiat 😋
@@sebastianguzman3845 they are not owned by fiat they're owned by FCA, but here in america that "F" has no bearing on vehicle production except for the jeep renegade. fiat is just a brand and has absolutely no pull or say in the production of this truck. this truck was built by MoPar and SRT in america, by americans.
@@iamnoah26 what? great wall motors has nothing to do with chrysler. the cars are from american companies designed and built in america by americans. how are they not american cars?
"Toyotas and Subaru are built here." but they are designed in japan by a Japanese company. however TRD, while being owned by toyota, is an american company. the tundra is just as american as the f150 or the ram 1500. and the tacoma is just as american as the ranger or the gladiator.
@@iamnoah26 great wall doesn't own chrysler, FCA is owned by stellantis.
"Jeeps have Fiat engines in them owned by Great Wall Motors." not a single word of that statement is true. the pentastar v6 is built by chrysler, the HEMI V8 engines are built by chrysler, the 2.4l inline 4 is built by chrysler. the renegade is the only jeep built by fiat and I already mentioned that before. and fiat is not owned by great wall they are owned by FCA which is owned by stellantis.
"How can you say Toyota Tundra or Tacoma is as American as F-150?? Because they are built here?? You need to rethink that one." read what I said earlier. the tundra and tacoma were designed in america by americans by TRD in anehiem and built in america by americans at toyotas plant in san antonio texas. the brand is owned by a japenese company but the truck was designed and built by an american company for an american market. how is that not american?
@@iamnoah26 "My mistake. Great Wall Motors is about to acquire Fiat Chrysler." I don't think so. stellantis is now the 4th largest auto maker in the world. great wall doesn't have a chance of owning FCA at this point.
"Also I did not mean the Hemi or Pentastar engine was Fiat." those are the engines you'll find in most jeeps.
"If Americans are designing Tacomas and Tundras why don't they give them a pair of balls to challenge the drivetrain and be able to haul more than a bag of soccer balls? Good question right?" what are you talking about? the tundra is rated for 10,000+ pounds, anybody buying a half ton truck won't be towing anything larger than that.
I want to see the Jackal take on the TRX. Its down 50hp, but probably will have an advantage in low end torque and weight.
This exactly!
“that’s real world” well said . Trx winning even against a gt500 😂. Great content!
I owned a Toyota once, the only thing it did good was split the frame in half.
Great video, guys. You should try dragging the TRX against the 1965 F-100, just to show how much faster (some) trucks are now, compared to then.
Enough with the drag races with off-road trucks. When are you guys taking them to an off-road Baja style track? I want to see how well they do in their intended environment.
Keep the challenges coming! This is fun.
Andre: I haven't been in a pickup this quick in a long time.
TRX: Am I a Joke to you?
That red tundra was going to blow the doors off the TRX in another 50’. The TRX is all time 4wd. There is no 2wd.
@@austinbarrick1128 haha I understand that but either way the trx was quicker in all three races. In the real world the tundra couldn't put the power down.
@@ethanmunger3374 it wasn’t really that far of a run. Real world, on the street, that single cab tundra would still take the TRX to gapplebees. Who races to 70mph in the real world? 🤔
You guys are awesome! Wish I had friends like you all! Hey put 4 drag slicks on that TRX and see what you can do with only tire mods!
can you imagine? It's on 35" off road tires right now!
Roman you are 100% correct, we all know what can beat the TRX on a prepared track, but the real comparison is being able to beat the TRX on what is basically the street, with 4wd, grippy tires, a lot of weight and 700HP, that’s going to be tough to beat in a 0-60
"Bye bye" chuckle chuckle lol
The awd is always going to kill rear wheel drive off a track. Matt from car wow raced a porche against a demon. Demon lost every drag.
Yes, we know. We had challenger hellcat and it’s almost impossible to put that much power down on a non prepped track.
@@TFLtruck keep up the solid work. I really enjoy the real world side of it
You brought a knife to a gun fight. TRX still undefeated
Love my single cab tundra glad to see one in TFL
When are you going to get a 5-star tune on your Raptor and race the TRX? That's the race everyone would want to see.
Roman: Thanks for bringing the trucks out, tell me what you did to them
Hugo: We washed it and put some stickers on the side door
Can the trx drive in 2 wheel drive only? Or is it always 4 wheel drive full time?
Perhaps they should try a Top Fuel car. Ram/Dodge have done one heck of a job. Hellcats are Production Vehicles not custom. Hellcat drivelines can beat on hour after hour day after day and if you do manage to break it you have a 5 year 60,000 mile factory warranty available in all across the country. Nuff said.
And those Toy tundras are way lighter in weight than the Ram TRX. WOW !! LOVE THE TRX ❤
Actually the white one was way heavier but that red one was lighter for sure
@@Jaimeleon20 Lol really Jaime how many lbs lighter ? It's a quad cab or extended cab 🤦♂️ Trx is crew cab.
Tundras have never been light vehicles. That red one might be light because of its configuration but take any apples to apples weight comparison and I'm sure the tundra will be heavier 10 out of 10 times.
@@wsmcook 🤦♂️
Raul Carbajal
Are you okay dude ? Here I’ll give you the facts
ram TRX weight is about 6,300lbs
I have a stock tundra with 4x4 like the one in the video. Got it weight at the scale and without me inside. 6,000lbs
Now add ALL of those mods to that one in the vid I’d say about 3-400lbs.
Plus it does have only 550hp compared to rams 707.
Only difference here is really the 157 hp and 100+ lbft of torq from these 2 trucks
Been hoping to see a Harrop supercharged Titan second gen against the TRX.
Bro, nobody wants to see a Nissan... I've always thought of Nissan as the Dodge of Japan, so I suppose it makes a little sense. Both brands are bottom of the barrel in their domestic markets.
*Great video. Very impressive vehicles. I was hoping the toyota beat the trx. I wonder if the tundra hooked up what would happen ?*
I use to go to Bandimere like a second home. Been a while. Now I have a Tundra.... Hmmm.... If you got those tires really warm, it might catch the TRX.
You guys are awesome. Thanks
I love this channel but they are milking this trx so much. Why keep bringing challengers that have no chance? Bring something that matches the specs of the trx and see how well it actually does
Since the SRT division has been disbanded is the TRX done after this model year?
motor week came up with 3.8 to 60 and in the 10 second range at 110 mph in the 1/4 mile for the trx watch it dig in and fly.
Andre, "I haven't been in a truck this fast in a very long time". Well get back in the TRX.
He said fast, not quick.
Mopar kicking ass. No surprise
