This is the most amazing performance of the night. Singing along side the legendary Jennifer Holiday and not get swallowed up in whole says how enormous her talent is. She is not defeated. She can walk off that stage with her head held high. She is young and her voice is versatile. She can sing the "phonebook". She has a very bright future ahead of her.
It's a shame that people have grown so accustomed to flimsy voiced young women, whose nasally mixes pass for belting and whose meandering pointless runs define "control", that they no longer appreciate a person who sings with guts, grit and soul. It's amazing when you think about the legends who wouldn't exist if they came out today. Tina Turner, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight...the list goes on. Ms. Holiday transformed the world of musical theatre forever. Miss Sanchez has a terrific voice, I hope she gets with the right team and makes a big mark in the industry.
I would just say, the wonderful thing about the world is that we are all entitled to our opinions and our own musical tastes. It makes the world a colorful exciting place to live.

I wish so much that good music with great performers will return again before I leave this world. I am sure that young talented people like Jessica Sanchez and Charice Pampengco will be amoung those who will be sucessful. Her facial,expression is not only the result of her personnal feelings but both a technical way to carry the sound (like opera singers do) and you must add the Broadway technique of exagerating facial expressions (theather + singing) on stage
