I was so flabbergasted and astonished by all the accolades and achievements she accomplished as a singer and actress on stage Miss Saigon and Les Miserables stand out as one of the most beloved plays of all time. I never realized how valuable this woman is. Wow....just wow!
She's the original Kim and has won the Hall of Famer best actress award for Miss Saigon in the 1990s ( Tony Broadway, Sir Laurence Olivier West End, Drama Desk award London, etc. ). She was only given the honor by the Cameron Mckintosh to be the Eponine during Les Miserable's 10th anniversary concert and as Fantine during the 25th anniversary. That's a feat in one's stage musical career. And most of all, her crystal, heavenly like voice keeps getting better as she ages. She's more than 50 years old now but can pass still as a 30 year old+ LOL.

I’ve followed Lea for her entire career. Saw her in the original Miss Saigon in London. Many years later, she starred in a revival of Flower Drum Song on Broadway and auctioned off her earrings for charity….and I bought them. I’ve never done anything like that ever, but for Lea, I fell. Her voice lights up the world.
Lea is my all time favorite. I was in senior high school in the Philippines when Miss Saigon debut in London. When I went to college, I was able to buy Miss Saigon CD and I memorized Miss Saigon by listening to it over and over. My dream was to finish my nursing so I could go to US and watch Miss Saigon - if it's still running and Lea still playing Kim. You're so lucky to watch her perform.

I was lucky enough to see her in the original cast of Miss Saigon when it was in previews for Broadway. Just fabulous and that was the role that catapulted her into Broadway stardom.
I hardly knew who she was when I sat down in the eighth row @The Royal Theatre on Drury Lane in London. She was so young and starred opposite the legendary Jonathan Pryce. Then she sang and the world changed. The theatre was in rapt attention and for two and a half hours the only sound was the breath of the audience. I will never forget that night as long as I live. Lea Solange WAS Miss Saigon!

I have a friend whose mother is also a soubrette (an operatic term for a light soprano with a sweet, youthful timbre). She's in her 80's and still sounds like a young girl when she sings, just like Lea. It's one of the traits of a soubrette soprano. I told my friend his mom has a Disney princess voice. 🥰

I actually pulled up the original videos of the 2 songs to compare her voice then and now - my God there's almost no difference. Her voice never aged and neither did she, still looks super young! Proud kababayan here. ♥
How on earth can Lea Salonga, now over 50 years old, have such a young-looking face, beautiful teeth, and radiant smile? And she still sings with her very even, medium-rate vibrato on many of the longer notes of the songs. She is truly a magically gifted person and performer. Didn't realized that "A Whole New World" could get a different meaning, to different people. Here, I can see the Father's love for his daughter - from watching and taking care of his little girl up until she grows into the woman she is today. It makes me teary eyed as I'm currently pregnant with my first baby (14 weeks) and single mom. I can't wait to sing and dedicate this song to them as it resonates with me deeply. I can actually see myself doing everything with them: through the ups and downs, and the unconditional love I have for them. I can't wait to have my little bundle in my arms! I’ve followed Lea for her entire career. Saw her in the original Miss Saigon in London. Many years later, she starred in a revival of Flower Drum Song on Broadway and auctioned off her earrings for charity….and I bought them. I’ve never done anything like that ever, but for Lea, I fell. Her voice lights up the world.

Lea is my all time favorite. I was in senior high school in the Philippines when Miss Saigon debut in London. When I went to college, I was able to buy Miss Saigon CD and I memorized Miss Saigon by listening to it over and over. My dream was to finish my nursing so I could go to US and watch Miss Saigon - if it's still running and Lea still playing Kim. You're so lucky to watch her perform.

London. She was so young and starred opposite the legendary Jonathan Pryce. Then she sang and the world changed. The theatre was in rapt attention and for two and a half hours the only sound was the breath of the audience. I will never forget that night as long as I live. Lea Solange WAS Miss Saigon!
While accepting her Tony award for “Miss Saigon,”when she thanked Actors Equity, the audience laughed. It was because Actors Equity blocked her work visa with immigrantion.

I actually pulled up the original videos of the 2 songs to compare her voice then and now - my God there's almost no difference. Her voice never aged and neither did she, still looks super young! Proud kababayan here. ♥
How on earth can Lea Salonga, now over 50 years old, have such a young-looking face, beautiful teeth, and radiant smile? And she still sings with her very even, medium-rate vibrato on many of the longer notes of the songs. She is truly a magically gifted person and performer. My heart melts with this father's gesture to his daughter on the most special occasion of her life, her wedding. Its like an angel has descended to sing to the bride and her groom. As spectators, it's as if we were transported to the days of her innocence up to her wedding day. I can actually see myself doing everything with them: through the ups and downs, and the unconditional love I have for them. I can't wait to have my little bundle in my arms! It truly is a whole new world.

It’s not the money but it’s s small girl who was and is a. Huge fan of Disney movie. A dream came into reality. How can you not love this surprise to his daughter?
