I think Tom had too much experience. When people are very young they are stuck on age. They don't know how to connect to older people. Unless it's their own grandma or something like that

she has a great voice. i guess for me, she could've picked a song that suits her phenomenal voice better. i felt like this song didn't highlight it much. but i love the raspiness of her voice. it's one of those sounds that has character and is easily recognizable when you hear it.

Exactly, great singers are a dime a dozen in that industry. All the singers are willing to go hard and work hard but timing and luck is everything in everything.

It probably cost more to buy the demo than profit from the song. Plus she's not listed as a writer, which means she sold the draft to them (full release, 1 time fee, no residuals) and they re-worked it.

Im not sure how that all works different for each song writer I guess ..I personally know a song writer wrote a song back in the late 70s that still gets a check every month for royalties..3 to 5000 a month based on air play. He gets a break down of where it's played it's still seems to be a popular song in Europe that's where most of the play is .
