I'm a 20 year old American Male Student and I approve that this girl will be BIG in the Future, even today, I just listened to her on radio a few minutes ago here in Chicago! This girl is really amazing. She can handle herself very well. In all the interviews i've seen. She has shown to people how witty she is. Every interviews were really interesting to watched. No dull moments. So eloquent, articulate, composed and talented, and a fashion icon too. During AI I'm so excited what dress she's going to wear. So reserved and well poised all the time. Credits goes to her mom.
Jessica is genuine and real. She is a real singer, and she is educated although home-schooled. Yes, she is very articulate. How can anyone not love this lovely Mexipino-American.

So amazingly untypical of a 16-year old, indeed! Re: your 2nd sentence -- all through her interviews I'd never heard Jessica resort to "youthspeak". Even the logic of her responses conveys intelligence, perceptiveness and surprising lack of naivete. And yet she has maintained a very healthy sense of humor (her ironies are simply devastating) and a refreshing air of sincerity and frankness. So honest even with her shortcomings. More Jessica interviews of please!
Jessica you are an inspiration! beautiful- really she doesn't need all the makeup to make her beautiful, crazy talent, and wonderful personality. Love that girl!
Saw this 2-part interv first time it was uploaded. Resisted posting any comment as I felt terribly torn in ambivalence. On one hand it has confirmed why I have always believed in her: first as an excellent musical artist, and now as a beautiful and intelligent young lady (a child of 16 even!) of unquestionable integrity. On the other, it confirmed my worst and very early suspicions that contest's outcome was being manipulated. But she has emerged a victor, not a victim. For that I rejoice.
Besides having an amazing voice, Jessica is soooooooooooo cute. Her personality and the way she interviews makes this young lady very special. I agree she was too good to be brought down. She is one of the most talented singers in America.
Done with reading all the positive feedback on her being articulate and witty, and I just have to agree that she is a genius. It is very rare that a girl this young can be this good. :-)

Agreed. Jimmy did more to diminish Jessica's chances for success at the end than anyone in the competition. He even stated making mistakes FAR too late in the season, then kept making the same mistakes at the expense of Jessica. She was just too good to be brought down and shined bright when Iovine had no say in songs like the Holliday duet.
Her Winning Song Change Nothing. Not really a winning song and I don't know why they gave her that song, but if you listen on it on the radio, it sounds beautiful and it sounds completely her on my opinion. She's great and so does her song.

It has been a while, and I know we all should have moved on. But as I know more of her, watching this interview and reading between the lines, SHE WAS ROBBED! I am quite bleary-eyed while typing this. This TALENTED, AWESOME, AMAZING and all other superlative in the dictionary, really deserved to win. It was so FRUSTRATING how AI manipulated the whole thing. I am saying this not because I AM FAN, but because IT IS DUE. She EARNED the RESPECT and LOVE of lots of people around the WORLD! PERIOD!
I wish she would've done that during her AIATY, gone up to the judges lol. Better yet she should've sung Respect and went on top of the judges' table and kick the glasses on their faces, just like what she did on her cricket commercial. That would've been epic. But oh well, her perfromance was still outstanding.

Jessica: you could see it in my body language even though I was standing there that I wanted to punch somebody... *giggles (go punch jimmy iovine or the judges I'll support you don't worry :D) Jessica: definitely, if it was...you know, my choice I would not just stood there i would have been movin around and I would have...maybe even went up to the judges and been like.. A "part 3"? Maybe after her "contractual obligations" with AI is over? But then with her manifest candor, courage, authenticity, witticism, grace and poise (so behind her age! and I'm running short of superlative qualities to describe her) any sequel wll be most welcome anytime.
Jessica's waded pretty far into the music industry over the past months. Hopefully her ever-present mom doesn't let her get in too deep before she learns how to swim. There are sharks and piranha in those deep, mirky waters.

That is totally TRUE! I dont know why AI is so fixated that Jessica sing another Whitney song in the finale! If you really want America to see what this contestant is capable of why didnt they let her sing a song that is known to be her forte! a BEYONCE song for that matter since she is compared to her most of the time. Then Philip can also sing a Dave Matthews song were he is good at! Well, anyway no matter who we filled in in that competition its still going to be a White Winner bec its AI!
