    i've been very impressed with my Civic, which shares this car's powertrain but has a sportier chassis. However, supply is still an issue (I waited 11 months for mine) and new prices have jumped massively in last year (up 20% in France, where I live).

    • @Kelveron
      @Kelveron 11 месяцев назад +1

      I agree. Of course the Civic is not an SUV, but it looks better, drives better, has better performance and is decently practical for a hatchback. I looked into buying one when it was first launched last year, but as you say, the wait times were really long and the prices have since gone throug the roof. When I looked at the Civict this time last year, the entry model was £29k, and now it's around £37k!

      I bought a top of the range CRV and although the price is higher - its competitors are a lot more and with this model its standard spec offers a hell of a lot more bang for your buck, like all new models the price is high but I have no doubt the prices will come down relative the economy (somebodies got to foot the hotel bills for the dinghy divers 🤬)
      I definitely recommend this vehicle though and can see me staying with the marque or other Japanese manufacturer as build quality and add ons are better than previous European aspirational cars i’e owned. 👍🏻

    I really like this and would seriously consider it. But Honda UK are pricing incorrectly. Closer to Kia and Hyundai, it could sell well. Close to BMW, Audi and Tesla, probably not.

      But I disagree because I will buy the CR-V Plug-In Hybrid.

    I have a 2003 mk2 CR-V. It’s our first car and love it,but on the downside the cost of road tax (£395) and poor MPG. in 2003 I found out was £15k new so in 20 years the price has increased by £10k in approx every 7 years. That’s a big increase.

  • @abrahamgeorge4994
    @abrahamgeorge4994 11 месяцев назад +2

    It’s too expensive and should start at around £37k with £46k the maximum. Otherwise a good package with a reputation for reliability.

    • @maff257
      @maff257 11 месяцев назад +2

      @@jdmguy44 It was for Canada and the US but for Europe they were made in Japan. We never got the external facelift that the CR-V received in other markets in 2021 because they didn't facelift it in Japan. The right hand drive Australian car was facelifted because it was made in Thailand.

    The best Honda CRV ever on the market was the 2000 model. It was totally reliable, spacious, comfortable, economical and had fabulous all round vision plus terrific boot space. Nothing compares in today's market. We still have two and are very reluctant to part with them until another one appears on the market. Come on Honda, you can do it! Today's cars all look the same. They feel cramped, claustrophobic and have bad vision.

    Just ordered Cr-V advance Tech plug in hybrid in that colour got £8000 discount with makes it cheaper than a Kia Sportage Gt Line S Plug in Hybrid. The Cr-V is a bigger car as well & Honda now offer a 5 year care package which includes 5 year servicing, 5 year & 5 year Warranty & 5 year roadside assistance.
    The car is already at the dealership awaiting my collection which will be March for the new registrations

    If theres a 1.5 turbo available? Will the european customers buy 1.5turbo rather than the hybrids? Or Would you just take the ehev hybrids?

    • @ozspencers
      @ozspencers 4 месяца назад

      We can get the 1.5T here in Oz and it is expected to outsell the hybrid. The price premium for the hybrid will never be recovered through fuel savings because the 1.5T is actually pretty frugal for a car of its size.

    I’ve recently acquired my CRV hybrid and I am very impressed with everything I have experienced so far. I have never encountered a vehicle with so many safety features, I keep finding new functionalities ad in comparison to my previous 5 series bmw - any comparison beyond that would be unfair, such is the difference I suggest.
