The mpg is not any better than the 5th gen, this car is also heavier and slower too. I’ve seen car reviews including Honest John rate the 6th gen no better than the 5th gen.

Lovely looking car but the pricing totally unrealistic. The introduction of the ZR-V and the pricing of that has meant this has been priced higher. But look at the price of this in the US and China. Honda are looking to make huge profit on this but I don't think sales will be that great when people compare what else you can get for the same price. I feel a reality check on pricing may be on the way in 2024!

The old model seemed more sporty. I appreciate the ergonomics of the interior and the engine, but also the white color that makes you visible on the road both during the day but also at night. Very impressed with the review, Trish we had a 2007 CRV for 13 years and loved it. Currently on a Mazda CX5 which is very good indeed and below the £40K luxury car Tax levy. I think at for £50k for a decent spec CRV as empty nesters we don't need quite so much space i would be looking Closely at a Lexus RX.

Great review, do love the look a bit like a xc60/90. The interior is a improvement. I’ve got a 2021 hybrid awd crv SR and we love it. I will be test driving one of the new ones next week. It’s the cost I can’t get my head round. For one with the same kit as mine is 46-48k as some things are missing on the base model like heated seats. I paid just under £34k with 5 years servicing on a deal at the time.

As a current owner of the American version of the CR-V (albeit two generations older), I'm for the most part impressed with this new version. However, like the ZR-V that you reviewed earlier this one is made out of what I call "unobtainium" - it's just WAY too pricey for me (even the American version). 😪
It amazed me that when you stood next to it and was in the driver's seat, it made you look tiny (which you certainly aren't at 5'5"). But when you sat in the rear seat, you looked like a beautiful giantess - as it seemed as if you were about to hit the ceiling! Kind of like a mobile version the "perspective room" - where you could look tiny in one side, gigantic in the other. 😊
Keep up the good work, my beautiful friend! Hoping you'll be putting out some new "Travels With Tish" material soon (though I totally understand your hectic schedule!). 🥰❤

In 2019 i purchased a Cr-v SR Hybrid. Its list was 35k but i got it for 32K. Last week i went on to Honda UK website and built the equivalent car, it came in at a whopping 50k, yes £50,000 for a Cr-v.
I had my local Honda dealer ring me the other day for their dealer event for the new Ne1?? I mentioned the Cr-v wasn't big enough and would love to try the USA Honda pilot lol.
Sorry but Honda UK, for the ordinary working guy have priced themselves out the market and no, i'm not going to have the finance over a longer period. That takes me on to the last point. The 3 year warranty...............come on Honda with 3 years, even Toyota do 5 years.

First of all, if you are normal as you say and bought a new car and financed it. You are probably not that smart. I bet you can't tell me how much money you've lost trying to be brand new 😅. Why can't people see finance is just a tool to inflate prices. The more people finance things the higher prices go. You are part of the reason the price jumped to 50k. Soon we will be inheriting our parents debt for generations.

@keigreencap9192 I payed cash!! Don't do finance. Was my 1st brand new car i purchased..But yes your probably right on peeps taking out finance. Covid and over inflated second hand car prices also didn't help. The car got wrote off January last year, some dick pulled out in front of me so I hit him doing 50mph. I paid 32k and they gave me 27k, so lost 5k over 3 years 9 months. Not to bad really I thought.

Glad I decided not to wait for this now I've seen those prices. I bought a new X-Trail which I've had for 8 weeks and I'm delighted with it. I was in the UK recently (I live in France) and the local Nissan dealer I popped into was amazed I only (!) had to wait 6 months for it. He reckoned the wait is now about 12 months. Maybe Honda will pick up some people who don't fancy that long a wait - think the Rav4 is similar to mine in that regard.. I didn't see anything in the review that made me think it would be worth the extra over what I paid.

there's is not a big difference in width or height or length to the outgoing CRV, I own the mk5 CRV from 2020, never has felt like a big car to drive the height sometimes makes parking an issue as you cannot see bollards and barriers. I wont be upgrading to the new CRV its too expensive for one and I am not yet into embracing Hybrids with CVT automatic transmissions I think Honda UK is pricing the CRV out the market for the usual CRV buyer. Just too expensive for what it is, even my mk5 was too expensive new its just a Honda CRV but Honda re trying to market it as an Executive SUV, like Volvo XC60 which not, Mazda Cx5 is very tempting to me as my next car, My Honda garage has already contacted me to see if I am interested I have declined an invitation to place an order, or a test drive sad as this is Honda number nineteen I am on so my next car won't be a CRV . if I wanted to spend this kind of Money I would buy a Volvo XC60.

I sat in one of these just last week. It is very well put together and looks twice as good as the outgoing model (that looked like it had been designed by 2 people who'd never met) - but the price of these new cars is just too high. The salesman admitted that Honda was going "upmarket" with this model - fair enough, but for less money I can get a BMW X1 or various other premium cars. Honda's market has always been North America, with Europe a second-thought, when it comes to design, equipment and sizing. It looks a mash between a Volvo, BMW, VW & Audi, without the final quality that premium brands bring. Honda buyers will likely stay with Honda, but as price inflation increases, maybe other brands for consideration will be taken seriously in this type of mid brand segment. Right off the bat: the colour! There's something about a white Honda SUV that really stands out! Now when compared to its competitors the CR-V has its moments of glory, and its moments of shame. Let's start with the glory. Superior MPGs when compared to the Tucson, cleaner design on the exterior, super comfortable seats, honey comb design that makes the interior stands out, AWD, and a very relaxing driving experience. Now for the shame. No fog lamps at the front, exposed rear wiper that should be tucked underneath, heated seats but no ventilated seats at that price point? WTF!! Less cargo space than some of its competitors, camera resolution needs to be updated, and no spare tire on a HYBRID. Unacceptable! But it's still a Honda. Far from perfect, but very reliable, and will definitely go the distance. Big thumbs up on this video.

The Japanese are more conservative with infotainment system - decent sized with tactile knobs and buttons. Thank goodness. It's less distraction and driver can adjust features without need to look at the screen. I attribute it to the Chinese and Koreans (and Tesla) to fuel the screen size escalation war.

I’ve had the Honda phev with a 13 pin tow bar to be fitted on order for 2 months and delivery will be in 2 weeks. The garage has just rung me to tell me the car will not be able to tow a caravan as the 13 pin tow bar only has 8 connected wires in it making it illegal to tow a caravan due to the breaking system. This needs to be put out there and i will be rejecting the car this week when I go into the garage

11:45AM They finally got the interior right, especially the gear area (it was ugly on the dashboard), but still not as attractive with those hidious buttons for the air-conditioning. It would have been better to put a screen to control the stereo and air-conditioning like Volvo XC90 and Dodge Ram does with there pickup truck 🚛.The front of the previous model was much better looking than this newer version, everything else is just fine with this CR-V. The cheaper price is right since they didn't do enough with this latest model CR-V.

I own a current gen CRV EX trim. Good all all rounder, only the infotainment system is a let down
It was over priced then, but it came fully kitted, and it worked out cheaper than the germans. Having owned a Kia Ceed, was not impressed with the fuel consumption. The sportage uses a similar engine.
The new CRV is over priced and a bit to large for my liking. Would nit want yo take it down a country lane.

    • @sp-tw8ij

Your story is similar to mine, has Kia Ceed, fuel consumption is high for a 1.6. Got a Honda Jazz, great car and can handle the twisty roads (as long as your not doing anything stupid). But boot to small for staycations.
Looked the HRV ,but boot only marginally bigger than Jazz. Bought the CRV, compared it to Sportage. Shortage was cheaper, but the engine ( and DCT gearbox) put me off it. Bought a CRV EX (almost two years ago). It was expensive then and the infotainment unit is woeful, considered changing it, but decided that l can live with Android auto. CRV does not like twist roads, as it sruggles with rapid changes in direction. I get a little concerned down country roads, due to it size.

We bought the top of the range CRV ad to be fare having owned mainly premium European aspirational cars with my previous vehicle being a BMW 5 series tourer m sport which was a nice vehicle let down by dealership service with constant breakages by the service technicians. This vehicle is staffed full of safety features and the only criticism is some of the plastic finishes feel/look less attractive than BMW but it’s not a a deal breaker for me.
The petrol hybrid model is great for my wife and I and for local driving the battery covers the journeys amply. The 2 liter petrol engine has plenty of grunt and the combined range with the 40 litre tank allows good range with little anxiety, the engine power and response equally as good as my previous 2 litre diesel BMW with sport control the vehicle making you appreciate its not just some gimmick. I have no major issues with this vehicle and knowing what the service and after care is like as my wife’s care was a civic I am confident in Honda’s care and support something BMW and Audi fell down on significantly, the final point which I like too is the wheels being 18 inches with black alloy wheels which offer good road holding but having more tire wall exposed helps avoid kerb scuffing which low profiles which look sportier are in reality a royal pain in the arse as they will get scuffed even with the best of careful drivers. The only downside I have found is the screen wash resevoir is too small for my liking as the recent weather with freezing then gritting and rain the windscreen needs to be kept clean for the safety cameras to work effectively as the screen wash tank is a third of the size of my BMW, but like I said its not a deal breaker.
The other aspect too is replacement tyres are a hell of a lot cheaper as the tyres are a commercial fitting which better for the wallet, I am confident I can take this vehicle off road with care and that it will perform satisfactorily with the addition of snow control and hill descent (this is not a true off reader but will perform good enough for the occasional off road camping trip or excursion to less beaten tracks with the option of putting mud/snow tyres being available)
