I’ve been riding a wethepeople hybrid hub laced to a stage 2 rim for the past 4 months and I can’t recommend it enough! The rim is budget friendly, light, wide and takes the beating surprisingly well. I mostly ride street and I happen to land sideways a little bit more often than I would like to but the rim is still straight as an arrow. I respect Odyssey for bringing out a budget option that lasts. I’m definitely getting another one for my front wheel! I personally like the hub a lot but it makes some annoying sounds nobody told us about. When coasting forward in freecoaster mode, every now and then it makes a buzzing sound. My guess is that the pawls are getting propped up by the slack ring just enough to hit the shell and make a weak uneven cassette like noise. Other than that the hub is amazing and the dedicated hubguards as solid and last longer than I expected. I now have one solid wheel that can do both cassette and freecoaster rather than building two separate ones for when I change my mind.
Taking a simple and standardized one piece part (the top cap/dust cover of a headset) and doing a load of unnecessary machining to make it a two piece part strictly for a visual gimmick is the exact opposite of being minimalist.
Etnies Michelin all day. I've owned both and I burned through 2 sets of vans and the etnies are still kicking. Even with a rip on the inside from my crank. Trust the Etnies Michelin are so worth it
Curious on the tires as well. They certainly looked and felt grippy if that makes sense lol. Regardless, they seem like an improvement for sure. Our friend Dougster Bob is testing them out on his channel.
Can anyone tell me anything about my bike. I just got it, it's a premium products frame with MNG handle bar & fork frame. With cult wheels and tires. It's a dope build and I love it, super light weight but I'm barley getting into BMX. Can anyone tell me it's worth or if it's any good?
The Odyssey v2 Clutch freecoaster is my favorite. Always predictable, never once engaged unexpectedly. The build quality is also top shelf.
I like the minimalist headset. All the tall caps look goofy.
It looks super clean once installed, too.

Still want to see the durability test between Etnies Michelin and vans waffle cup sole 🔥👍🚲💨
Still need to get some Vans Wafflecup in. Etnies Michelin review is coming soon, though.

You look like Ryan Sher from subrosa in this one. Good stuff.
#hybridfreecoaster ❤
Dan's Comp is doing BMX right, with their excellent shop + awesome RUclips content. 👍 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃
Thank you!
The stolen headset looks pretty cool, I hope the new vans tyres are better then their older ones…

@@danscompvideos Totally makes sense! I'll go check out the review!
I bought a lot of new things for my bmx bike and out of all of the I love my 4 piece handle bars👍👍
can we get a 2023 top 5??
I’ve been trying to get a 7KA rim since 2019. Always unavailable.
A pretty decent year?! Everything got even more fucking expensive!
Everything everywhere is up, but surprisingly, for BMX at least, prices actually started to come down compared to the year prior.
