Personally I’d skip the Rats. Classic I guess, but they haven’t aged well and they are frustrating to keep centered. There’s not a real good reason to pick them over the penguin at the cost, or spend a little more and get a pyrite or a raccoon or a miguron if you want a drop point.
Having to go to comments, wont waste time. Im familar with most of these brands. I travel for work 60% of the time, want a few cheap durable knives that hold a blade for boxes, random cuts blah blah. Like cheap. To date, I've worked at this company for six months, I've lost, one of* (so basically both of) bluetooth ear buds five times. I've lost razor or foldable razors three times. I've lost pocket knives three different times. I refuse to bring my at home stuff to work. company buys idc. Just cheap and reliable for all of the month or two i'll have it. Contract jobs things get stolen, things get left in hotels, things get left in random vans. Just help me out guys. I really like buck style for a quick cutter, used to like gerber, but i am not spending much money on this on either end for travel use.
You ruined me. I now have 2 ad 20.5's, Cicivi fg's (5), and 3 Arcades. I need to stop watching your Chanel. 😅

The vision fg has just arrived Friday there is a high probability that I'll be divorced within the week. Repetitive stress disorder is the only thing that will save this marriage
That Miguron Moyarl with the crossbar lock is REALLY UNIMPRESSIVE (feels cheap, blade edge geometry is pretty awful, no lanyard hole etc). The Boker Kihon FS, Vosteed Raccoon, CMB Predator, Bestech Ronin or espescially the Kizer Escort are all MUCH better knives. I carried a Rat 1 for almost 25 years, that knife alone is good enough for 99.9% of pocket life uses. I prefer my Para 3 and Shaman combo but the Rat 1 and 2 are the definition of high-value tools.
I'm not convinced that the "super lock" on the vision is THAT strong. Neeves knives tested it and was able to spine whack defeat the lock on two different vision knives...also the super lock by design prevents any type of flipper action which is my preference. Honestly don't understand the hype. Ad 20.5 and vision fg kind of overrated tbh
I would add the Maxace Mamba. Great action. Falls shut like a whisper. And you can get it for $95 shipped. But I have a few of these like the Pyrite. Love it. Want that vision.
The knife center has a new Vision FG exclusive in S35vn and real solid carbon fiber for 135 bucks. It's the best version of the vision I have seen. So awesome.

Love my Miguron Velona. I got the 4.22 inch blade. Incredible knife!
It was only after I owned a Blur, a PM2, and a ZT that I decided I needed a Rat1 and 2. They are great knives for “not-so beginners” too👍🏼

I have so many expensive knives but the civic vision fg is one of my favorite knives to carry for edc use. Especially as a lefty it is the most figit friendly knife.
