The knife center has a new Vision FG exclusive in S35vn and real solid carbon fiber for 135 bucks. It's the best version of the vision I have seen. So awesome.
i’m planning on snatching one up soon, i wanted a vision fg but in a better steel anyway. i was considering the damascus one since it’s a 10cr/vg10 core but s35 is even better
Great vid, MC! I have most of the knives on the list as well as a few hundred others, the RAT is a classic and will forever remain on lists such as this. I have several versions including the S45vn G10. Having said that, I'd love to see it offered in even more upgraded steels and handle materials.
The first "fancy" good knife I got was the civivi chevalier. I wanted it because it was a button lock on bearings with a flipper, sheepsfoot blade and micarta . I did a bunch of research cause 70 bucks is a lot to me. Still like it a lot
The Civivi Chevalier is one of my favorite knives period. I'm very much considering the Chevalier II since it now comes in aluminum, but I by no means need it. But I do want it.
I have so many expensive knives but the civic vision fg is one of my favorite knives to carry for edc use. Especially as a lefty it is the most figit friendly knife.
We honestly have the majority of knives you've listed on here. The Verona we just got for my hubby 3-4 weeks ago - we both love it. His bigger hand loves the size - we got the all black variation with G-10. For less than $55 you cannot beat it if you need a bigger sized knife. I have the more higher end version with the carbon fiber and M390 steel. I absolutely love it and it's besides my seat along with the nicer QSP Puffin I picked up. LOL
I own 2/3rds of the knives you've shown and agree with your opinions on them. My Vision FG is taking a break from carry while my Griptillians are occupying my pocket. Thanks for the video.

Time to dye the scales and maybe drill an extra weight-hole!
I can't agree more about the vision fg! My favorite knife by far! I plan on getting a 3rd one (the knife center exclusive) here soon, and then chopping one of my others to make a smaller vision.
The miguron store is offering 20% off pretty much all of their knives ATM. Some are sold out but there are still some very tempting options left on there. Love this kind of video as I'm still very new to pocket knife collecting 👍
Vision FG is a stupendous knife. I got the Damascus version and dyed my scales graphite. Looks perfect and is the #1 fidget beast in my collection. I got one for my wife, daughter, and a friend. So good.
Ive been really enjoying the Kershaw Iridium. The nicest d2 I have. I dont know the differences, but this blade has stayed sharper longer than any of the other knives I have with d2. The handle is a little slippery, but the cross bar lock is fantastic. The price is solid at around $60-65. I wouldnt mind getting the green version from Blade HQ and replacing the back spacer/lanyard loop with the bronze one I have on my grey handled version.
I would add the Maxace Mamba. Great action. Falls shut like a whisper. And you can get it for $95 shipped. But I have a few of these like the Pyrite. Love it. Want that vision.
New to the channel, and the first knife in this video is one that I own lol, mission accomplished. Oddly enough I had no idea it was such a highly praised knife. Mine was handed out by the company I work for so I assumed it was a typical, cheap bulk-buy deal. Guess I'll start carrying it and give it an honest try
My first knife over $30 was the vision fg because of your channel and it did ruin the experience of collecting any other knife. The only thing that’s impressed me since owning the vision was double the price

From $12 - $200, the $12 S&W was second or third. If you’re looking for a great entry level, get one. I did, and you will too, after viewing his knife testing video.👍. Also bought a replacement for my beloved Spyderco, $65, that I lost.😠 Lots of great knives out there.
The Smith and Wesson Extreme ops is the biggest piece of trash I've ever reviewed. Absolutely horrendous quality. Itll do the job but wow... spend a little more and get 5x the quality.
@@metal_complex - Wow, that’s quite a different opinion. Did you base that on impressions or testing, like Project Farm guy, who tests initial sharpness, edge retention under wear, ability to resharpen, point toughness, blade lock release pressure, blade lock strength, etc? Or did you just look at it and say, “Nah, too inexpensive, can’t be any good.” I’ll trust science based testing over ‘impressions’. Mine is incredibly sharp out of the box, easy to manipulate, build quality equal to my Spyderco collection. And at $12, if I lose it, I can buy 5 of them for what one Spyderco costs. Sorry, but there’s a place for this knife. But thanks for replying. Please enjoy your week.🙏
@dejavu666wampas9 it's based on carry and use and also the fact that I've reviewed literally thousands of knives (seriously, I have 4000 uploads) - The Extreme Ops has 7cr17mov for the blade. This is, factually, bottom of the barrel steel. No matter who is testing it, the result will be (unless they don't know what they're talking about) very , very subpar edge retention. It's a steel reserved for knives that aren't designed with serious use in mind. It's cheap for a reason.
Spyderco Knives are made in a variety of different factories around the planet. It really depends on which spydercos you're comparing to. The Chinese Spydercos like the Tenacious? Quality there might be somewhat close but the tenacious is still a much better knife. If you're saying it's comparable to the American, Italian, or Taiwanese line of Spyderco, no. Absolutely not. Those knives are in an entirely different league.

The large velona with a finger choil and the vision fg in jade g10 are pretty much my daily carry, I can barely keep them out of my pocket and I have over 100 knives.
I like collecting an assortment of different knives, primarily balisongs. But I'm currently looking for a decent daily folder that can coincide with my Exceed Design Razer 3 utility cutter and Leatherman Wave+. I'm really liking the button lock action on some of the Civivi options, but I'm in a bit of a dilemma since I also really like the Maxace Capsule 2 (the thicc Pokeball Knife lol). Any good recommendations from the options here from your guy's experience? I'm always for learning new things in the avenue of knives.
Not really surprised, but kinda saddened to see that you dont really recommend the Cold Steel American Lawman anymore. The ONLY issue with it is that its not quite as easy to disengage with one hand. For someone who doesnt want to bother with cleaning bearings and wants a solid, do-everything knife, its still hard to beat.
Naturally I knew what would win, but it would be cool to see the VFG in size comparisons more often given how much you’ve recommended it. 😙 Also, I’m thinking I’ll get the new black micarta with lightning looking Damascus variant of the VFG, and hold out for a Magnacut version over the KCE with S35VN.
I wish they made Vision in a drop point blade shape, cuz i tried, i really did tried to love the "sheeps foot" and its variations, i just don't, i have both Demkos 20.5 variants, bought the sheeps foot first, didnt use it much, bought the drop point instantly became one of my favorite knives ever. The only one i still like in soft of that shape is the Malibu cuz it just makes it work somehow, tho for a knife that small i wish the blade was thinner. (edit these are not the knives i mean as contenders to this video, they are way too expensive for that, especially if we take in to account materials to $ ratio) All that said i think the new super contender for "one and done" is the Qubit, great shape, great materials, great action, for around 80$ish depending on where you are, what's not to love?
I started with the RAT 2, ehh wasn’t fan of the action or the blade shape. Went with the baby banter next and love its size but blade shape isn’t my forte (the curve towards the top makes a learning curve to open boxes but wharncliffe blade didn’t exist when I bought it) But it still a liner lock and sometimes when I let people use a knife the liner lock makes them uneasy and hand the knife back for me to close it so Now I want a vision FG so bad since it’s fidgety good shape and easy to close without putting fingers on the line for less comfortable users but the child still needs diapers first 😂
Can anyone with more knowledge confirm that the baby banter is legal everywhere in the U.S? I live in san bernardino specifically. I wanted to get the civivi vision fg but its better to be on the safer side.
Way more issues in San Bernardino than the size blade you carry lol hella tweakers with bigger knives etc.., so I wouldn't worry about it. Keep blade length under 3.5" and no cop in Cali really gonna care
What do you mean by starter knife. These are all good knives for every day use. Not some knife you only look at and put back in its case. I use a knife all day, every day.
That Miguron Moyarl with the crossbar lock is REALLY UNIMPRESSIVE (feels cheap, blade edge geometry is pretty awful, no lanyard hole etc). The Boker Kihon FS, Vosteed Raccoon, CMB Predator, Bestech Ronin or espescially the Kizer Escort are all MUCH better knives. I carried a Rat 1 for almost 25 years, that knife alone is good enough for 99.9% of pocket life uses. I prefer my Para 3 and Shaman combo but the Rat 1 and 2 are the definition of high-value tools.
The vision fg has just arrived Friday there is a high probability that I'll be divorced within the week. Repetitive stress disorder is the only thing that will save this marriage
Sorry about your breakup. I hope it's not too stressful. Flicking a knife is probably best not to do during a breakup though, even though I know it's stress relieving.

i only have 6 knives, so the rotation isn’t huge. but tell me why i’m always fiddling with my vision fg anytime you bring it up 😂
The Vision FG made me want…another Vision FG…
Do it. Dual wield. Knives akimbo like Moe!! 🔪🔪🤣
I'm working on getting everything on the list except the 🐀
Congratulations, great great video. I have some of this list, but I will put some that you recommend on my whish list. Regards from Portugal
I started with the RAT 2, ehh wasn’t fan of the action or the blade shape.
Went with the baby banter next and love its size but blade shape isn’t my forte (the curve towards the top makes a learning curve to open boxes but wharncliffe blade didn’t exist when I bought it)
But it still a liner lock and sometimes when I let people use a knife the liner lock makes them uneasy and hand the knife back for me to close it so Now I want a vision FG so bad since it’s fidgety good shape and easy to close without putting fingers on the line for less comfortable users but the child still needs diapers first 😂
The "Gyatt!" Sent me 16:08
This civivi fg is your favorite knife ever?
Can anyone with more knowledge confirm that the baby banter is legal everywhere in the U.S? I live in san bernardino specifically. I wanted to get the civivi vision fg but its better to be on the safer side.
Way more issues in San Bernardino than the size blade you carry lol hella tweakers with bigger knives etc.., so I wouldn't worry about it. Keep blade length under 3.5" and no cop in Cali really gonna care
Wish this was time stamped.
Peut-on en acheter?
Would you recommend the penguin or the pyrite? Thank you
I wish I had watched this 10 hours ago 😅
Started with a leek, now I have a whole collection lol
What do you mean by starter knife. These are all good knives for every day use. Not some knife you only look at and put back in its case. I use a knife all day, every day.
lightning elite otf. my ultimate abuser, carry a rat 2 just incase otf fails one day 😂
Scale prices for the AD15 are freaking ridiculous.
How about the mini sheep dog button lockkkk
I really like the full size clutch lock version but the original flipper mini was my 1st "nice" chinese knife. Changed the game for me.
@@buckaroobanzai2551 yeah the full size is better but not a budget knife! And that’s awesome dude! 🤘
i prefer the non premium qsp penguin over the titanium... yeah right! then show us the non premium penguin!!
I can NOT believe the QSP Parrot isn't on this list. It's a far better knife for $10 less than the QSP Panguine.
EDC??
The vision fg has just arrived Friday there is a high probability that I'll be divorced within the week. Repetitive stress disorder is the only thing that will save this marriage
Sorry about your breakup. I hope it's not too stressful. Flicking a knife is probably best not to do during a breakup though, even though I know it's stress relieving.
Looks bad in front of the judge😁
@@Slickkiwigotta ask, did you flick it in front of the Judge? 😂
