Did you have to take an assessment too? Is it something to study for? Is there math involved. Are there memory/brain games? I'm curious as I have no idea what to expect.
yo, there was like a small assessment during orientation but its pretty easy. there's no test beforehand & it was all qtns based on videos that you watch there
Get yourself some VERY comfortable shoes. Bring a clear water bottle. Drink lots of water. Watch your screens. Go slow until u learn the job. Be accurate first. Then b fast. Download the app. Check your schedule every day. Be kind. Ask questions. Don't abuse your bank of time off. Be smart. Try to work the donut shift. U work M,T,Th, F. It's sweet. Wear shorts and big t shirts(go up a size). Pack ur lunch in a clear bag. Get there a little earlier so u can park closer to the doors. Especially in bad weather. Learn ur bosses first name. Say hi to them every morning. It works. Keep your badge in ur car so it's always w you when u go in. They have paper masks there for u. Wear them. They're cooler on ur face than the cloth ones. Keep a snack(protein bar) in ur pocket to make it between breaks. If ur dragging get a mountain dew for a buck in the machine. Hi caffeine content 4 the money. Energy drinks are like $3. No. They talk rate but unless they sit u down n talk about retraining u, don't worry about it. Most ppl lose their job bc they stop showing up, not bc they're not making rate. Don't believe the rumors. It's not that bad a place to work. Stay off ur cell phone and don't wear headphones unless ur on ur break. Don't work stow. That job sucks. Good luck. Make friends. I just applied and did my pre hire appointment with the drug test and background check. I love drinking water ! Like about 2 liters a day, My concern was do I have time to go to the restroom ?
@@briannarichardson1596 you do have some time to head to the bathroom but the devices you use track how long you've been inactive but they won't trip unless you're taking a really long time & they notice you do it constantly

Same thing happened to my gf. Lots of talk about not having a position but the day before she had her start date they finally sent the online orientation. She went to work the next day which was two days ago .... hope she can hack it.
hard to say bro, they kinda just put u in certain positions in the beginning. Kinda gotta start from the bottom but don't be afraid to ask them if you can try a different area. Sometimes they'll be cool with it & maybe once ur there Long enough they'll let u stay in that spot

Hey so me and my brother got hired with Amazon warehouse, during the pre check hiring they told us we will be suspending 40 feet in the air and using industrial machinery. Does all amazons do that ?
I actually haven't heard of that position tbh. Did you sign up for that specific position or did sign up to be a warehouse worker? Because if its a specific position then you can always look it up on YT or Google to see exactly what you'll be doing. I have seen some people come in and fix things at the warehouse with a scissor lift

I doubt its a scare tactic, its probably just them trying to enforce their policies bc ive heard similar things too. If you don't like the work they're making you do you can always quit through the Amazon app & you don't even have to put in a 2 weeks notice.
@@quino7309 i think your right cause when i got the email after the meeting on yesterday. It says you and Amazon can part ways at any time it doesn’t matter etc. the woman their should us pictures of the machines on the wall. Plus they just built this warehouse down the street from my house.
I’m going to be working in a warehouse like that too! Apparently warehouses like that are for larger items that needs to be moved by heavy machinery (PIT)
well they start you off in one area and then overtime they might ask you if you want to try something new but I would say make conversation with the higher ups and try to be cool with them bc thats how I got offered to try something new
Does Amazon give you mandatory overtime for delivery station as a seasonal worker? I have a full time job with a different company and would not be available to work overtime. I am working 40 hours with Amazon as in the delivery station 8 hours a day.

When sorting does the scanner direct you exactly where to go or do you have to look for numbered shelfs to find where you need to put the product?
yeah so for our warehouse, and I think its for most warehouses as well, u scan it and it will flash around the box you're supposed to put them in
