My rating for this zone: Graphics: Absolutely cool. 9/10, due to one of those boosters being out of ideas, thus I can't give it a 10. That booster looks so small and it looks like a chair without its legs. How uninspired, but everything else is definitely cool. I didn't give it lower, due to that booster actually moving. Presentation: Of course, this isn't the first airship level. Remember SMB3? Airship levels aren't common among many video games that time, which makes it unique, I guess. I just hate how this was stage 2. 6/10? Music: Well, of course I wouldn't give the music lower than a perfect score, it's phenomenal! 10/10. Gameplay: Although you may fall a lot in this stage, some of its mechanics are fun and unique. High speed mechanics are nice, and there's a lot of them. You go upside down sometimes. That's why I really think it shines in Act 2. It's not one of my favorites, because others were better. 9/10. This may not have the best presentation, but it does shine everywhere else, especially the music. It's total score is 34/40.

we just got to the game after mushroom hill you are suddenly faced with the mission of getting out of eggman's flying capsule factory/wearhouse/war-machine, and eggman ends up destroying his own warship
Given a choice between Sonic, Knuckles and Tails, I would have to say Tails would be the best choice to play in this zone because he's the only one who can actually fly. Knuckles can only glide & Sonic isn't fast enough to run across all the gaps.
When you're playing sonic 2 as sonic you will get squished once you get to chemical plant act 2. Sonic is to tall for one of the moving block staircases, and gets squished by the roof. Tails is the only one that can not die from this. If you insert sonic and knux into it it won't work.

I have far too much love for the music from Flying Battery, I hated the stage as a kid, but as I got older I ended up liking it, especially the music.
