Hi! Thanks for the video. My car-crazy son managed to get a really good electric 4x4 for his birthday. He took his new role as toy-car owner very seriously, and I found him, not long after getting it, outside proudly giving the thing a really thorough wash down with the hose 😬. It hasn't worked since and we cannot afford to pay someone to take a look at it. Understandably he's gutted and spends a lot of time just sitting in the thing pretending to drive it. It starts up fine (including the very loud annoying radio) but no movement at all. Do you think this could be the pedal switch?
Lucky kid! Bet he’s pretty pissed. Does it work with the remote control? I doubt the switch itself is bad- I would suspect a blown fuse or a damaged electronic module.
I haven't hooked anything up to check connections, but I'm thinking it's the main controller. Battery clicks every time pedal is engaged. Brand new, unused battery with same result. I was really hoping to. Avoid taking it completely apart. I think I'll have to upgrade it to 18v or 24v while I'm at it.
My daughters is charged and will go if I hold the power button but if I just push the power button it won’t power on it just flashes the the back lights. What do you think is the problem. I don’t have an ohmmeter to test everything.

The connections are secure but maybe the wire is no good? Or maybe it is just the switch?
24V is almost definitely too much for the motors, wiring, and switches. I know people do 18V conversions but that’s even pushing it. You could have undersized wiring, switch contacts corroding from arcing, or melted brushes. Or any combination of the three.
