I’d do the rear subframe and service the supercharger - fun job as u have to take it off but needs doing! - then maybe investigate wrapping or respray but not worry too much and just use it! They can make proper power so make it mechanically sorted and Ull be able to sell it if needed
I've got one of these, great car's, proper little driver's car's, but not the most reliable car's and terrible on fuel! 23 mpg ! But you don't care when you put your foot down! I think you have got the basis of a great little car and these are going up in value.
Glad someone else has made same mistake as me and bought a fairly cheap mini... i have £1k worth of parts to fit to mine... and it will all be underneath and not visible 🤦♂️ be worth it when its all done lol
We have a lot of Mini's here but the r53 have become a cult classic. Beside servicing the super charger the next should be polyurethane bushings. Should you decide to keep it and want a fun fix for the paint check out dip your car cheaper than most paint and you can do it yourself.@@BarnClubCars
Glad to have this vid pop up on my feed.... off to watch the £1k mini vids lol
Enjoy it, they’re great cars. Thirsty, but very fun!

The plan is to get it mechanically sound before doing a bunch of engine mods. That noise is intoxicating though just with the standard set up.
Are you sure its a 2006? Wrong headlights and steering wheel - both are pre facelift?

That’s what I’m hoping. Looking forward to taking it to a few track days in the new year to see how much fun it i.

Mines been the same, so far I’ve spent £1300 on a £1000 mini and it still looks like a red mini with lacquer peel and pink paint 😂
thats not a mini its a BMW
1000 Quid ya done good. Here in the states you would have paid 3000
That’s quite a difference. I guess it’s like Audi TT’s they’re dirt cheap here but as they were imported in low volumes over there they’re not cheap.
