You’re going to reuse the waterpump housing assembly from your stock engine so all your accessories can go back in the right areas, you can use an uncut rbc intake manifold with an adjustable throttle body from blox, k-tuned or Hybrid racing. You need the PPA passenger side mount bracket usually this comes on the k24 already but if not, you can source it from your local dealer. Clutch and flywheel from your current setup can work as well.

I have question about the transmission can I use on the TSX block the base 5-speed? Does the K20 A3 intermediate shaft bolt up to the TSX K24 block? And I can use the RS X axles? Also does the accessories AC, power steering from k20a 3 bolt-on k24 A2?
Yes, I used my ep3 trans. Everything bolted up perfectly. Change over entire accessories from the a3. Helps to have them side by side. Also, I kept the RBB manifold for simplicity of the water port on it. Tb adapter is needed and your intake won’t fit perfect it may needed to be flipped, rotated and or cut to fit
What about using a 04 TSX trans on a EP3 with a K20a2? Do I need anything different to run that trans correctly or does it all work without any alterations?

for the JDM K24A, if you swap the whole water pump / alternator assembly from the stock K20A3, that also brings with it the thermostat. So no need for an RDX thermostat housing. Or am I missing something? I am going through this very swap right now.

@@tlikethedrink thanks! right now i'm just waiting on the RDX 410 injectors but I might just use the included 310cc instead for now. besides that just small details like dealing with evap (i'm using a skunk2 manifold & throttle body) and figuring out the wiring for trans speed sensor (the whole reason I started the swap was my stock ep3 trans grenaded when the drain plug went MIA for about 20 miles). new trans is from a base 05/06 RSX (not ideal but it is what it is) so different speed sensor location and method. I should be able to utilize the kpro (vtec academy has a decent video on this process), just taking it slow as i haven't done much wiring in a car before and don't want to cook the ECU or something
For jdm k24a on the ep3 would I have to change the Injectors to the ep3 also along with the accord throttle body Will it run right with the stock ep3 ecu

Going to upgrade exhaust and wondering what I will need to do to run the k24a with rb2 intake manifold. I have k24a from Honda odyssey absolute motor. Should be 200 hp 168-171 tq. Stock a3 ecu still no k pro yet
If you can use the ep3 intake manifold why can you use the throttle body and do you have to tap the coolant ports or will it just bolt up I’m getting a lot of mixed signals
Great video and lots of info - just what I was looking for. I have a UKDM (Euro) EP3 CTR in AU with a K20A2 head and block, PRA ecu (K-Pro'd) with Toda N2 cams. What is the best block to do a K20A2 Frankenstein build with?. K24A3 from the CL Accord Euro and K24A6 from the Odyssey are fairly plentiful here - are these OK? I also saw elsewhere that the K24 stroke of 87mm could be an issue as the K20 stroke is only 86mm - many thanks once again.
I’m not really familiar with those two engines, but it looks like the 83 engine may have a piston that doesn’t make contact with the head. You’re going to need to set the head on and see if the piston makes contact when you turn the engine over.
@@VTECAcademy Many thanks for the reply. A little further digging shows that the K24A3 is basically the K24A2 for the AU/EU market (Accord Euro etc) with the same compression ratio of 10.5:1. I misread the 86mm vs 87mm stroke issue - it's actually the K20 has a bore of 86mm, and the K24 has a bore of 87mm, so once again need to check for piston to head contact

I have a jdm k24a2 block with a k20a2 head on the block. I got the oil cooler parts too. I have the water pump housing but no water pump nor all of the belt accessories. My ep3 k20 is stamped as “k20A” it doesn’t have a 3 stamped on it so I think it’s the jdm version of the k20a3. Can I take idler pulley, pulley tensioner, ac/ps, water pump, and side mount bracket onto the k24?

It is most likely the header and yes it is common on the K24 swap in the RSX, EP3 and 06-11 Si. We used Hasport's stiffer rear mount to control engine movement and reduce contact.
I'm Getting ready to do mine i have a 2002 Ep3. Looking to swap the JDM 03-08 TSX into the car i already have K-Pro. so i need to swap all my accessories including the water pump? and to run my stock mounts i will need to get the Hasport Universal K-Series block bracket?

You don’t have to swap the accessories from jdm k24 the 09-14 rsx uses the same layout

Either get a block off plate or a TSX upper radiator hose outlet.

I’d you call Hasport they can give you suggestions on what mount you can use to make fabrication easier.

Not that we know of. Using a stiffer rear mount to reduce movement allows use of EP3 header options.

I would swap the Crank pulley. Water pump and housing, alternator, tensioner and idle pulley.
Yes, that block bracket or CRV/Element block bracket.
