"One Step at a Time" (Original Composition, 2017)

It's been a while since I've done some original music (a couple of trailer scores notwithstanding), and I'm very happy to finally turn that around with "One Step at a Time!" This piece began existence as the score for a video I recently finished for the UW-Fox Valley Writing Pad (viewable here: • The Writing Pad - Orig... ), but I've taken the opportunity in the last few weeks to expand it into a fuller piece.
As intended, the music conveys a growing sense of belonging and fulfillment of potential. I went for a reassuring, optimistic tone as the track builds from delicate reverie to jaunty exaltation, with a combination of orchestral and pop-esque elements.
I can't make any promises as to when next I'll be releasing any music, but I certainly hope I'll get to let another one or two sneak out by the end of the year! I still like doing this, whether in the capacity of standalone pieces or scoring, and I'm sure I'll be back with more eventually!
