Simply breathtaking! I stumbled upon this version, and I'm so thankful that I did! Don't get me wrong, the other version is good but I love the flow of this well put piece. It flows effertlessly and I must say, I do prefer it without the EDM. We have to come to the realization that music is an individual journey and as long as I love what I hear, that is my personal journey. What I prefer doesn't affect anyone personally. To each his/her own.
I thought the EDM section sounded a little out out place but it has been my go to creative writing song since it came out. Thank you for stopping me from going back in and rewinding the original. Have a like
Nice edit, man ! The original music is awesome, but keeping only the first part of the music really gives it another dimension, and honestly, I prefer this one, sometimes. :) Thank you !!
@Caleb Jablonicky I feel divided about the beautiful meaning of the tribute but also staying true to my music style. Thank you SO much for not forcing me to choose between the two. 🙏🏼
EDM or no-EDM? That is the question. But perhaps the question is moot since both are available. We have the best of both worlds. My preference is no-EDM, but it's an amazing, great song either way.
I always thought this was one of his best songs, but was terribly disappointed to hear this electro part that ruins everything. At least should he have included a nice electro part, but let's be honnest, this is simply a "poom-tseek-poom-tseek-2000's-basic-techno-shit". So thank you so much for rearranging this and letting us enjoy the talent of Thomas Bergersen :)
I love the electronic portions of the original track (and especially how they combine with the orchestral in the climax), and "Emerald Princess" has become my all-time favorite from Thomas. Thomas knows what he's doing in any genre, and I don't think he got lazy or sold out to the mainstream here. There's arguably even more of his talent to be enjoyed in the original track - this is just an interesting alternate version. It's fine to let us know if the actual track isn't to your taste, but let's not deride its artistry in the process. :)
I love the EDM section and absolutely prefer it - it takes a really good track and makes it something much greater (and obviously holds a lot more meaning knowing what Thomas had in mind). This is just another take on "Emerald Princess" that some people were interested in hearing. :)
The original track is one of my favorite pieces of music by any composer ever. This is just an interesting experiment to hear it a different way, not an attempt to "improve" on the original or anything. I love the wild EDM stuff and agree that's the point of it. I've had second thoughts about uploading this for years.
I do worry about encouraging music genre elitists and the like, but I absolutely adore the original track (and especially its bold genre-mashing). I thought it would be interesting to hear a version using some of the orchestra stems - a "what might have been," but not a "fix" or an "improvement" by any means. I just want to assure you this wasn't done with any intention of disrespecting the original work - just showing some of its other nuances (as you can hear more from the choir in the second half, Merethe's vocals from the climax more clearly, etc.).

I just can't get enough of this. That particular track, its theme, everything it brings up to my imagination is immesurable. Thank you sincerely.
Bro if you like it as much as you said you do, I believe we can be best friends if we met someday.

This is a masterpiece. It comes close to a level of perfection. Thank you very much for posting.
thank you every much this is version (No EDM MIX ) Im happy this song my friend
Nice edit, man !

Thank you !!
Hearing the details from another perspectiv gives me even more Chills! Emerald Princess is in my top Tenlist for sure. Thx for the edit.
One of only a few pieces of music I didn't know I needed until I saw it.
Thanks! I kept manually looping the original before the EDM started
Perso j'aime beaucoup cette version "épurée" qui nous laisse voyager au même rythme du début à la fin ... Merci !!!
Amazing version! Thank you very much!
This is magical, I love it! 🥰💗

Nothing wrong with trying out new genres, who knows what you'll end up liking :]
Obrigado, gostei muito. Saudações do Brasil.
I'll personally raise the views up to 2k, I freaking love it!
Thank You very much! You are my hero :)
Thank you.
Although I kinda prefer the EDM, this is a nice edit. You have earned my like.
Don't worry, I prefer the EDM, too. (Nothing beats the climax of the actual track!) This is just a different take on it for fun. :)
Caleb Jablonicky thankfully I don’t prefer the EDM (even though I listen to EDM). Thanks for this
for me, i prefer this edit than edm version.
This is really nice
Makes me think of a journey I may have taken long ago.
Nice work my friend although i prefer the original because especially that part was for Avicii (the whole song was a Tribute)
Don't worry, I prefer the original, too - just figured some people would enjoy this. ;)
@@TheWhoniversalMan I’m sorry about my previous statement. I think it was rude of me. Thank you
@@pasajerodelabrujula8261 Oh, it's all okay! I'll remove my previous comment. No hard feelings. :)

🇧🇷 👍👍👍 GOSTEI. Obrigada por compartilhar. 👏👏👏👏👏 ( seis )
Good fucking shit
Hey man do you happen to have a download link for this?
LOVE IT #getvizual
i prefer this version
The transition is a bit jarring but I couldn't do better! Much prefer this one
Where did you get these stems?
You can find stems of TSFH releases since 2015 at www.extrememusic.com/labels/two-steps-from-hell. Lots of unreleased albums and tracks there, too! :)

Why does it sound like the fairytail ost
I was about to comment this. Also reminds me somewhat of "Oogway Ascends" from Kung Fu Panda
This is good, not gonna lie. But the whole track was a tribute to the late Avicii, EDM and all. It kinda misses the... well... point.
I love the EDM section and absolutely prefer it - it takes a really good track and makes it something much greater (and obviously holds a lot more meaning knowing what Thomas had in mind). This is just another take on "Emerald Princess" that some people were interested in hearing. :)
Congratulations. You COMPLETELY MISSED the entire point of the original piece and so have ruined it, despite the fact that this still sounds good.

People disliking the original for its EDM influence serve insult to the intention of the original which was as a tribute to Avicii after his death.

The EDM is the best part. Lol. 👎
I agree with you - the original track is my all-time favorite from Thomas. :) This is just an interesting different version.
