I was a HGV Driver for 25 years and these places were often a lifestyle to lorry drivers. My all time favourite was just outside Grantham off the A52, a little caravan butty box run by a Lovely couple called Ian and Annice. No longer there now. Would love to know if anyone remembers it. I drove a 4 wheeler on WH Smith shops deliveries. Around 1997/98. Met some good people (fellow truckers there) cheers. Chris
Hi Chris, i was a HGV driver at the same time as yourself (Dents Transport, red trailers) and i must say the name Annice or Annie rings a bell, it was a layby with a small caravan that after a few years went to a sit in caravan

Hey Danny! Beautiful countryside. I'd rather eat al fresco with a view and weather like that. Wish I was there. Everything looks so fresh and delicious. I'm a big fan in Northern California.
We spent many a happy afternoon in a layby somewhere, often in the Peak District or North Wales. Seems to be a very British thing to have a cuppa and a picnic in a layby. Love it.
When I was a kid, that was a day out!!! Our car would sit outside the house all week, as my dad drove a lorry for a living, but on Sunday it actually got used. My dad would drive us out to a country road, we'd stop in a lay-by and out would come the folding chairs and the thermos flask and sarnies. And we weren't the only ones doing it.
I love visiting Yorkshire and I fly always fly into Manchester to spend few days there when I’m in England. I’ve only been to London once and didn’t care for it. Yorkshire is absolutely beautiful and wonderful underrated place for tourists.
I went through that area when I came down from scotland to london. It’s beautiful. I wish I’d of had time to stop, but my two weeks were quickly over. Very pretty.
I wish I had a nice truck like that around… nice man, doing what he loves. Quality profit and great prices! It doesn’t exist anywhere near where I live.
That is awesome. Nothing like that where I'm from (Vancouver, Canada). The scenery for free = awesome. I think the chef should pop the sandwiches in the air-fryer for 2 min. It would have toasted the bread.
I was thinking the same thing, now I live out here in BC. Why there aren't more if any roadside food trucks around is a mystery. The old highway 1 up the Fraser Canyon used to have the odd one, but I think they have all gone now.
What an awesome place. Reminds me of days gone by. Would love to see more of the scenery on trips like this! Was this filmed before the handle broke or did Danny fix the handle?
They were great looking sandos. For the brekky one, I'd have preferred a runny egg. The steak one probably horseradish and swiss cheese. The best one, put some pesto one it.
Horrible.Where he was the scene of those heinous crimes are quite a few miles away right at the other side of saddleworth. It’s a large beautiful area but sadly the name will always be linked to those two monsters

Indeed it's nice to see some of God's own county there Dan. Here is an ACE practical joke you can try with Club biscuits. 1/carefully push foil wrapped biccie out of paper sleeve. V gently open the wrapping a bit & extract biscuit. Put biscuit on plate so's you can eat it SOON. 🤣2/You should be able to reassemble the empty wrapper so's it looks like a tempting Club Orange or whatever. 3/put the wrapper of deceit in a prominent place 4/retire to eat biscuit and observe discomfiture of greedy gannet. Good value! Nice one Danny. ⭐👍
