  • Fry bread is a Native American bread that stretches back generations, particularly in the Navajo Nation with whom it originated. It's enjoyed all over the U.S. and is easily found throughout the Southwest. There's no need to go looking for it because it's surprisingly quick and easy to make at home!
Once you learn how easy it is to make from scratch and how delicious fry bread is, you'll find lots of ways to enjoy it. Fry bread is an excellent choice to serve with a hearty stew or chili, and you can make fry bread tacos with seasoned ground beef and your favorite toppings. It's also a tasty snack when served with honey, powder sugar, or fruit jam or preserves.

Looks delicious! My grandparents homesteaded in New Mexico & Mamaw taught all grades in a one room schoolhouse. There were Navajos, Mexicans, Spanish, Japanese, etc. She loved to cook the local foods.
How do you make your homemade salsa and guacamole?
Do you know the recipe for mock lemon pie made with vinegar? Living in the country she had to improvise, but unfortunately many of those recipes got lost. Thank you for posting.😊

May seem strange but never saw these before so my question is - how do I eat them, cut them like pizza, hold in my hands, fold over like a sandwich, if possible, they look delicious & do I really need to use the flour you are using to get the best quality or will any flour work? Thank you!
