I really appreciate that you take the time to demonstrate things and clearly did a test run beforehand, it makes it simple to understand how the things actually work to decide if it is for you or not! OMG I never knew my carbon ink had that little cup in it. I was trying to fill and it was like I had no ink yet the bottle was full. I couldn't understand it. Thanks for explaining that you have to turn it upside down.
Used my clear Ink Miser w/ flat base all the time until I finally ran out of Monteverde Midnight Black. I consider it an absolute Must-Have accessory. Also, Visconti traveling ink well.... If you can afford it, buy it! Not too many companies make these things. And Visconti makes the absolute best one.
@@radicalxedward8047 Lava Soap is available at North American grocery stores and some hardware stores. It will get ink off hands in less than a week. Noodler's inks take more effort and time, most other inks are off in seconds to minutes. Back in the 20th century I used to soak my teen inkstained hands in milk.
I would have gotten the Vac bottle, but my Vac 700 died recently, so... xD But that other TWSBI bottle looks really nice. I have a lot of standard international pens. Does the Jinhao standard international fit on those too? I know there was trouble with it fitting the Pineider mosquito filler.
I had two Vac700 fail recently (both colored ones). On my grey(smoke) one, the plastic came apart where the metal cap band was glued to the plastic (the plastic actually split around the diameter, not came unglued). on my orange one, the actual dark grey plastic central column in the center of the grip section (attaches to the feed) split laterally. I actually have another orange one, two blue ones (still in box) and a few clear ones and the clear ones are still going strong. I wonder if that is why they stopped making the colored Vac700's and all the Vac700R's are clear. Maybe the clear plastic is stronger! anyway sorry to hear your vac 700 died on you, they are great pens to use when they are alive! ;)

I guess I could always put the cap of the orange on on the grey one! or buy another nib for the orange one (they come with the part that broke). It's not a the top of my to do list. I loved the grey one with the Pilot Yama Budo ink in it, but not sure exactly how I want to proceed. thanks for your RIP. Back at ya'! Cheers!
@@amaryllisl8928 oddly enough, in a spate of industriousness, I dug up my tube of Krazy glue and fixed the cap by putting a bit around the metal band and reattaching it to the cap and also fixed the plastic sleeve of the the feed unit more or less the same way, so they are both back in business! Not a terribly complex fix, but required will and steady hands! :) anyway, thanks for the conversation, it put the bug in my ear to do something about it. If it's not too late, you might try the same. Cheers!

You could unscrew to upper cap part and use it as an inkwell to fill your ECO from. Unfortunately, the ECO doesn't work with the upper capping mechanism because it does not have a removable grip section. -Lydia

i get full fills on my vac 700 without that little bottle. Although it does require more care when doing it.

Our testing showed that it will fit the Noodler's, Monteverde 90ml, and Stipula 70ml bottles -Lydia
