I think this is my favorite Write Now video ever...so fun to see everyone's pens. And dangit...the one day when I'm using a fairly bland (but constant favorite) pen/ink. Today I'm using a Gray Pilot Metro with a sepia cartridge. But lying on my desk over there I also have 2 Lamy al-star (royal and purple), a rose gold online slope, my turquoise conklin duragraph, another pilot metro (bronze lizard) and a pilot vanishing point(the metallic blue one)...which have all been in use within the last couple of days.
Apparently, there's a character limit for RUclips descriptions, so all the products mentioned & shown are in this helpful Google Doc: bit.ly/GPCCurrentPenInk . Also, I swear this isn't an ad for LAMY inks! We just got in samples of the new Crystal inks and we all wanted to try them out. :) - Colin
This is, by far, my favorite episode of WriteNow ever, and I've probably watched or listened to most of them. Brian, you.always say the hobby is about the people, and also how important your team is. It's great to get to see almost all of them in live action, hear their voices, and see them in their work environment. At the moment I'm writing w my Kaweco AL Sport in Rose Gold, F nib, inked with Diamine Pink Champagne.
Congratulations on the 100th episode of Write Now!! This was easily one of my favorite episodes. It was very enjoyable to see what people were using. Keep up the great work!! I’m using the TWSBI ECO, transparent blue, Medium nib with Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-peki.
I really wanted to see a remake of this episode, see what pens people are using now, what pens they've recently treatened themselves, see how is the gpc working during the pademics and all that stuff. It'd be really cool.
Write Now is one of my favorite series and this is my favorite episode by far! It's very interesting to see what pens, nib size, and ink everyone is currently using/loving at the moment. Love how everyone is trying out the new Lamy Crystal inks. I want to try them too lol
Only after watching this did I realize that at the Goulet office, everyday is a literal pen meet. How awesome is that, to constantly be surrounded with people with the same passion as you!
I'm currently taking notes for school using my Pilot Décimo (F) with Pilot Iroshizuku Take-sumi and my TWSBI Eco (EF) with Iroshizuku Kon-Peki! I loved seeing faces to match the thank you cards and getting a glimpse of what everyone there uses! I'm new to the fountain pen world but I am binging all the Q&As and Write Nows. Thanks for all the great information you all put out and for the hard work and dedication that goes on behind the scenes. :)
I'm late to the show but WOW this was great fun. What a variety of FP and ink. Like many others I would like to see an update what's you got inked episode. Thank You
Great video! Nice to put names to faces and seen what folks are using. Today I'm using my Conklin All American Tortise shell with Monte Verde Amethyst ink.
Just received my Twsbi Eco with 1.1mm stub & a sample of Montegrappa Black. Inked it up as soon as I could get it out of the box and my signature looks like I always wanted it to. I think I'm hooked on stubs.
Great video! Loved seeing all the people at Goulet Pens! At the moment I'm enjoying a new Platinum Izumo Yakumo Byakudan Maki-e (Medium nib) with Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-Peki (theme of sky colored ink with cloud-covered pen :)
Love this idea! Nice to see everyone and their choices. I am currently writing with a Conklin All American, with a Goulet EF nib, and Iroshizuku tsuyu-kusa ink.
I appreciate that you actually did this I know it can be disruptive to daily business. Thank you for taking the time to do it. I am inking a visconti medici with a broad nib and caran d'ache organic brown.
So much fun to see what everyone's using! My pen today is a Monteverde Regatta Sport (the magenta one), Goulet 1.1 stub nib, inked with Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-budo.
Such a fun episode and lovely to see all the people who make Goulet Pens what it is :) I'm using my Lamy 2000 Black Amber this week, EF nib, Pelikan 4001 Violet ink. A classic which I have used for years.
I'm using an Opus 88 Demonstrator in medium inked with Diamine Ancient Copper. I love the ink capacity on that thing. I haven't had to refill it all week, and I use that same pen for taking notes in all my classes and working on my stories. I recommend Opus 88, one hundred percent.
This was super cute! So cool to see the rest of the team. Seeing everyone's preferences and hand writing was so endearing. My go-to has been Lamy Safari Petrol with Noodler's Air Corp Blue-Black. Love!
I loved this! I keep four pens inked at any one time. Today it's: Visconti Homo Sapiens Steel Age Midi, fine nib with Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-Peki (a staple) Pilot Vanishing Point Raden Galaxy fine nib with Diamine Sherwood Green Platinum Century 3776 bourgogne medium nib with Akkerman China Town Red Twsbi Diamond 580AL rose 1.1mm stub with Akkerman Simplisties Violet. Love reading what everyone in the comments is writing with today too!
Gotta love this video, absolutely brilliant! And really great to hear someone else enjoy the M nib on the Pelikan M200 as much as I do. I come back to it all the time, with Diamine Pumpkin Orange. Interesting how many TWSBI users are amongst your staff!
Did anyone keep a score? Broad verses Fine Verse Stub? I counted 31 staff but couldn't hear Kelly & Sarah's nib sizes. Results: EF x 3, F x 2, M x 5, B x 10, BB x 2, 1.1 x 7. Rachael should be happy, we can certainly see who has the most influence around the office.
Four inked for regular use. Jinhau 159 medium with Gullor cartridge purple. Lamy Alstar 1.9stub with Diamine Sherwood green. Lamy Joy 1.5 stub with Yama Budo. and finally a Platinum carbon fine with Waterman intense black. What can I say I love the variety.
My current pen is a Jinhao 992 with Diamine Blue Pearl - I've loved that ink since the first time I tried it, and it was the first ink I bought a whole bottle of (along with Diamine Lilac Satin).
Today's pen and ink combo is Pilot Metropolitan (fine nib) with Sailor Jentle Blue Black. At first I thought this nib was too small but it has grown on me. Now I really like it!
It's one of my favorite inks. In the bottle you can see a lot of blue. On the page it dries to a very dark gray. You could try a sample before investing in a full bottle in case it's not the ink for you.
Oh, I've several pens inked up but today I'm using a vintage Pelikan 400NN (OM nib) with Diamine's Earl Grey and a Pilot Vanishing Point (F nib) with Diamine's Oxblood.
Opus 88 broad demonstrator with Habanero and exclusive Goulet Diplomat Aero purple with Monteverde Purple Reign and broad nib - all from Goulet thank you very much!
This episode was a lot of fun. I enjoyed seeing so many of your team and seeing the variety of the pens and inks they were using. I have over 30 pens, most of them from Goulet Pens, so what I'm using today won't be what I'm using tomorrow. Today is a Pelikan 200 Brown with Pelikan Sandy Quartz with a fine nib. When I started my pen collection, I stuck with fine nibs because my handwriting is small. But as my collection has progressed/increased, I've trended toward medium and stub nibs, with the stubs being my favorites. It was interesting to see how many of your team chose broad and stub nibs. That's the pen fever I'm catching.
This was fun. Talked to Susan today about the Pineider. Also good to see Andi come on the other side of the camera. TWSBI Eco stub with De Atrementis Whisky Brown Copper. It sheens even on cheap copier paper. Do it again sometime.
This episode was so fun! Today I was setting up my bullet journal and using two pens, the Platinum PTL 500 (I think I’m messing up this name) which has the gold flex nib with Noodlers Black and then my Pilot Metropolitan with the stub nib and inked up with Pelican Edelstein Jade.
Today I mostly used my light blue Pilot Varsity, but I also used my Conklin Duragraph in Purple Nights with a Goulet 1.1 stub inked up with J. Herbin 1798 Amethyste de l'Oural
I have probably 12 pens inked, but the one I wrote with last is my Waterman's 42 and 1/2 with a buttery smooth oblique stub - filled with Akkerman Dutch Masters Steen Rood.
This is awesome! I love the idea and it was fun to see all the pens and inks (and now I need to go add pink glitz to my cart...). I have about seven TWISBI Ecos inked up (four mediums, one fine, and two stubs--de Atramentis Document Fuchsia, de Atramentis Document Turquoise, Monteverde Garnet, Monteverde Yosemite (?), Pilot Irushizuku Kon Peki, Organics Stuido Nitrogen, KMZ Hawaii Blue), as well as a Jinhao Shark (Noodlers Operation Overlord Orange) and a Pilot Metropolitan with a stub (a mix of de Atramentis Fuchsia and Yellow, making an orange very similar to the Noodlers OOO). And a Pilot Plumix with Monteverde Turquoise. My office pen for when I forget my pen case at home is a Monteverda Monza with Monteverde Sapphire (ink also in my drawer at work). And a few others that need to be cleaned out.
Nice to see Noodler's inks being used ... So many pink, turquoise and bright inks ... My currently inked are the MB 144 F nib with MB Mysterious Black, Parker 51 F nib with MB Royal Blue ...
I have quite a few pens inked up, but my everyday writer is my Platinum Cool clear with the soft Fine nib, using Noodler's Lexington Gray for its shading, its permanence, and how it makes other inks stand out on the page. Thanks for this great series--I enjoy every episode!
I love this format! I think I've seen them all! Great work, and I loved this tour of everybody's pen in use. For me it has been my Lamy 2000 with Lamy Black. Also a vintage Sheaffer Cartridge Pen, also with Lamy Black, that to my surprise started right up after not being used for some weeks.
Loved this! And now I have some more ink samples to add to my Goulet cart. 😁 I have four pens inked right now, but my daily go-to is my TWSBI Eco (B) with Noodler’s Liberty’s Elysium. 💙🖋
I am a new subcriber and fountain pen user. I loved this video. I paused it so I could find my cards from my 2 orders. It was great to see who signed them! I am amazed that 5 months ago I got my first fountain pen. Now I am already able to read though the comments and not need to look up the pen and ink they are referring too! I have 6+ pens inked. Some of my favorites are my orange retro Pilot Metropolitan with a swapped plumix nib and Noodler's Apache Sunset. My Lamy Vibrant Pink I got from you for my birthday. I filled it with Noodler's Black Swan in Australian Roses. I put the Vibrant Pink ink in a hot pink jinhao shark. Along with my TWSBI Go sapphire stub nib with Monteverde Capri Blue and another simple dark blue jinhao shark with some Diamine Skulls And Roses that I just got today. I can't wait to receive another order from you. Maybe an Easter gift and definitely for Mother's Day!
What a great group of people to work with! Goulet pen company has become my favorite pen store. Love the personalized notes with each order. Using one of my favorite pens today, TWSBI ECO extra fine nib with Monteverde Black Ash. Great combo.
ATM I have Lamy Safari All Black with Lamy Turquoise :D I love how you incorporated little messages from everyone it's great to see everyone's handwriting :D
Now that's a combo. At the best of times I had starting problems with my Vac, and KTC is probably the hardest starting ink ever. Rymats you are one very brave person.
Bud The Cyborg you are absolutely right it does have starting issues when I pause writing for more than a minute but I think KTC is just blue enough to be “professional” and purple enough to be fun. I also like that it’s waterproof.
@@rymats I have some bulk bottles of KTC, absolutely one of my favorite inks (especially after seeing the light fastness tests on FPN), but the Vac 700 is pretty much the one pen I cannot use it in (though I think the 700R should be a bit better than the model I have. If I remember correctly they adjusted the filler so it does not seal off the feed normally and you don't have to unscrew the back to return flow to the feed. I guess the 700R should keep the feed saturated more often).
Interesting, I picked up the 700R because it seals off (unlike the 580 which I also really like) perhaps living in Colorado with temperature and pressure swings I have had several pens burp pretty badly in the middle of meetings. I like that I can control that a little more. The 700R does appear to seal off the nib but it takes an incredibly long time to use up the ink in the grip and feed. Much longer than Opus 88 Demonstrator or Fantasia. I usually crack it when I start writing and seal it up again when finished. Though when testing to see if it did seal and once I did get through the ink it took forever to reach the nib again. I ended up forcing it out with the piston. I have only had the pen around a week though so perhaps it’s just the honeymoon period?
Love it! I probably have around 15 pens inked up at the moment but my current go to is my twsbi go in sapphire in a broad nib, inked with emerald of chavor
Currently inked up, just one pen: 22nd Anniversary Numbered Limited Edition Classic Pens with 21K gold Sailor nib in Fine point (#84 out of 88). Rocking my absolute favorite ink ~ Sheaffer Black.
Congratulations on 100! I’m new to the game... as in don’t-even-have-a-pen-yet new. But they’re in the mail. I look forward to more content and possibly business with Goulet. You’ve been a *fountain* of knowledge. Ok, I’m done! Thank you kind sirs and ma’ams! Keep being awesome! Write On!
I know im super late but this is my favorite Goulet video so far. Im currently using a Lamy Vista Fine Nib with the included blue cartridge, and a Pelikan M600 Souverän Broad Nib with 4001 Türkis
This was really fun! I have 42 pens inked up right now--all fine or extra fine--which I rotate constantly while I journal and write letters. The last one I used today was my black TWSBI ECO EF with Pilot Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku. I keep all the pens in six nesting clear plastic 6 X 6 in trays. Easy to take with me and they don't take up much room at all. I have a notebook to keep track of--by tray, of course--which ink is in which pen. Almost all of them are filled with your various ink samples, although I do own quite a few bottle of ink. I love the fun of ink samples! I am more into inks than the more expensive pens, I guess. :) Congrats on #100!!
Waterman Phineas in blue, with a brand new custom grind fine crisp italic, writing with Diamond Oxford blue...a nice color match for the pen. Pen courtesy of my dad from approximately 30 years ago. Ink from Goulet!
Two pens I used today: my brand-new Pilot Custom 743, FA nib and an ebonite feed, and Pure Pens Cwm Idwal ink; and TWSBI Vac 700 with a Jinhao nib ground down for flex, with P.W.Akkerman Delfts Blauw ink.
I love this video showcasing all the people that help prepare my orders! Thanks to everyone for sharing. I have the Lamy Safari Spring Edition Rose pen inked with Noodlers Black Swan English Rose and a Lamy Al-Star Graphite with the blue cartridge. I received my Goulet Pens order yesterday, but haven’t inked anything up yet. Going to play with my new pens and nibs today!
I have too many inked and in various brands and models: On my desk and table near at hand are Pilot, Platinum, Visconti, Noodler's, Waterman, Franklin-Christoph, Nakaya, Kaweco, Parker, Wing Sung, Pelikan, Namiki, Stadtler, Edison, Sheaffer, Jinhao, & a new Estie. Only two pens are inked in black. Most of the others are using various shades of blue or brown. I keep the pens in a two mugs near at hand, & the nibs range from fine & medium to stub to cursive italic. I don''t have any broad nibs in use, but I have two music nibs. I'm sorta hooked on fountain pens & have been buying them since the mid 1980s. I have been attending the DC FP Show for more than 10 years now. I prefer Diamine inks, but I also use Noodler's, Aurora, Parker, & Pelikan. I salute the Goulets and their many fans; we all have a wonderful interest--obsession?--with fountain pens. Remember: January 23rd is National Handwriting Day!
I think Whitney might need her own show! lol
Honestly, this video is so fun to watch that I still find myself coming back to it years after it was first published 😅😅😅😅
That's quite the pen group! Nothing wrong with a little Metro action on a Monday. :) - Colin
Can you imagine the notes that go through office, they are the most colorful notes ever!
imagine someone intercepting one and knowing where it came from bc of the ink colour
I know! Right? I am only allowed to use black ink at work! Totally lame.
I am a bit of a rebel. I use Rose Noir and have managed to get away with it.
Right?! Like Rachel gets one from Colin, and just automatically knows its him...
I'm using a Jinhao x750, with Noodler's Black Swan in Australian Roses....im obsessed!
I absolutely love the energy in your office.
Whitney's face at 7:42 is gold hahahaha
April in Parks & Rec has got some serious competition.
Love it
Apparently, there's a character limit for RUclips descriptions, so all the products mentioned & shown are in this helpful Google Doc: bit.ly/GPCCurrentPenInk . Also, I swear this isn't an ad for LAMY inks! We just got in samples of the new Crystal inks and we all wanted to try them out. :) - Colin
Whitney's facial expressions are pure gold!
I want a new edition of this annually!
Thanks so much Brian for keeping us hooked on to our childhood memories of fountain pens, inks and so much more
Only after watching this did I realize that at the Goulet office, everyday is a literal pen meet.
I just want to work at Goulet Pens after watching this video, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
Well, today I have my Forest Green Duragraph with an EF nib inked with Monteverde California Teal. This was such a fun video! Thanks for posting it!
Okay, now this video is one of the top 10 Goulet video I have seen so far. You should do another one like this for current times!
I appreciate that you actually did this I know it can be disruptive to daily business. Thank you for taking the time to do it.
I am inking a visconti medici with a broad nib and caran d'ache organic brown.
This would be a great thing to do like once a month. As a newbie, I love learning about new pens and what people use.
Currently inked 🖋: Daiso Fountain Pen Medium Nib with Colorverse Andromeda & TWSBI Eco Extra Fine Nib with Robert Oster Sydney Lavender 💗💜

Lately I'm rocking my new Lamy studio imperial blue with Lamy blue ink cartridge and EF nib. So much blue and broad in your office. Nice to see.

Hi Susan! Great to see you on ‘Write On’ 100.. Loving my new Aurora.
This was so great! Thanks so much!! I love that Trevor started a tic-tac-toe game on his card. Hilarious!! And so nice to meet John too. 😁
That was fun! I'm using my Turquoise Conklin Duragraph, with Pelikan turquoise ink.
Bold and stubs! Yes!!!
I need to use EF for my book keeping, but 1.1 and BB are definitely preferred for everything else.
Yes, I prefer Medium and up, as well.
I love it when more of the staff gets to participate! :)

Hope to have an updated version early this fall. Maybe Episode 175? - Colin
Today's pen and ink combo is Pilot Metropolitan (fine nib) with Sailor Jentle Blue Black. At first I thought this nib was too small but it has grown on me. Now I really like it!
I'm actually in the market for a good blue-black and a couple of people did suggest the Sailor Jentle.
It's one of my favorite inks. In the bottle you can see a lot of blue. On the page it dries to a very dark gray. You could try a sample before investing in a full bottle in case it's not the ink for you.
Really enjoyed this one. I'd love to see one maybe every other month or so. The energy in your office is great.
I'm using a Pelikan M205 demonstrator with a broad nib and Krishna Moonview. Love the ink!

I’d love to see more of these guys in the videos! I’m working with a Faber Castell NEO slim medium nib with FC garnet red ink
Many pens ready and inked, but the go-to is a TWSBI Eco EF with Rohrer & Klingner Salix.
What a great bunch of people you have working there !

Love using a shading ink with soft nibs! Lexington Gray is a favorite of mine as well. - Colin
I love this format! I think I've seen them all! Great work, and I loved this tour of everybody's pen in use. For me it has been my Lamy 2000 with Lamy Black. Also a vintage Sheaffer Cartridge Pen, also with Lamy Black, that to my surprise started right up after not being used for some weeks.
i am using a smoke pilot 823 with the orange iroshizuku(i cant remember the name)
I use a Pelikan M200 green marble with Edelstein Jade, I think it matches perfectly.
Great video! I'm using a TWSBI Eco with Fine nib, inked with Noodler's Polar Blue, and a Kaweco Sport Bordeux BB nib with Noodler's Black.
Great collection of pens/inks! Glad to hear the fountain pen journey is going smoothly as well. Write On! :) - Colin
What a great group of people to work with! Goulet pen company has become my favorite pen store. Love the personalized notes with each order. Using one of my favorite pens today, TWSBI ECO extra fine nib with Monteverde Black Ash. Great combo.
I am using the Parker Duofold (from 1999) Greenwich with a M nine and Parker Quick Blue. Love these videos. Greetings from the Netherlands.
ATM I have Lamy Safari All Black with Lamy Turquoise :D I love how you incorporated little messages from everyone it's great to see everyone's handwriting :D
Lamy Safari Petrol + Diamine Blue Black
Jinhao Shark Pen (grey) + Diamine Oxblood (in my opinion it's the ultimate combo)
Why diamine oxblood when you can use _food colouring_ ?
Why would I use food colouring in my pen when I can use fountain pen ink?
Why use either when you can use actual blood? Just ask the local butcher.
I do really love seeing everyone there. I have a TWSBI 700R with Noodler's Kung Te-cheng on my desk at the moment.

I have some bulk bottles of KTC, absolutely one of my favorite inks (especially after seeing the light fastness tests on FPN), but the Vac 700 is pretty much the one pen I cannot use it in (though I think the 700R should be a bit better than the model I have.
Out of curiosity what pens do you normally use KTC out of?
Love it!
I probably have around 15 pens inked up at the moment but my current go to is my twsbi go in sapphire in a broad nib, inked with emerald of chavor
I love meeting the team like this. They are all such good people!
Currently inked up, just one pen:
22nd Anniversary Numbered Limited Edition Classic Pens with 21K gold Sailor nib in Fine point (#84 out of 88).
Write On!
I loved this episode. And it was amazing seeing that Bob Ross screensaver!
TWSBI Eco T with Black Swan in Australian Roses
Great video - Andy is awesome!! and Whitney rocks - the camera loves her and her expressions are priceless.
I know im super late but this is my favorite Goulet video so far. Im currently using a Lamy Vista Fine Nib with the included blue cartridge, and a Pelikan M600 Souverän Broad Nib with 4001 Türkis
I really enjoyed seeing around the office :) Right now I am using a pilot kakuno with a medium nib, and it's filled with Pilot Iroshizuku Fuyu Syogun.
This is an awesome video. Really interesting to see the Pen/Ink favs of the Goulet team. Many thanks.
Waterman Phineas in blue, with a brand new custom grind fine crisp italic, writing with Diamond Oxford blue...a nice color match for the pen. Pen courtesy of my dad from approximately 30 years ago. Ink from Goulet!
I have 19 of my 45 pens inked up right now, but today is my Aurora Talentum Celestial Blue pen with B nib and Montblanc UNICEF Turquoise ink
Just received my Conklin Duragraph Ice Blue with a 1.1 stub, inked up with Lamy Turquoise
Fun video! I enjoyed seeing the combos. Currently I’m using a LAMY Al-Star Graphite with EF nib and Noodler’s Lexington Grey ink. :)
I have my Lamy Vibrant Pink AL-Star inked up with Herbin Rouge Grenet. Using Rhodia premium paper.
