Cath: I was screwed over by my genetics and half my body is on backwards
Ellis: yeah but those hips don't lie
when Gabby said :Swimming poos"immediately took me back to Ellis and his poolaroids moment
Same
R/poolaroids moment
Hearing Cath list all of her chronic conditions reminds me of when you deliberately build your character wrong in an RPG so that it's completely unoptimised, yet you still - somehow - beat the game with it.
shes just playing the game of life on hard mode
Mr. Burns from the Simpsons with every known disease. They can’t all get through the door at once!
Project Zomboids
Badgers for kidneys
Crows for a spleen
and now
Flowers in the sinuses
Like a weird version of surgeon sim 😂😂
😂 it’s been a year, is there anything else to add to that list
I've never understood why people would ask "Are you going to have children soon?" The answer is, at best, "No, we're not ready yet." The alternative answers are "It's physically impossible for us, and now we feel awful with our bodies, cheers!" or "Hell yeah, we have been raw****ing for weeks!" and you're not ready to hear either of those.
I really do love how when they start talking about everything Cath has to deal with Ellis then makes sure to mention right after what he loves about her, fully respect to you Ellis that was incredibly thoughtful
You guys have no idea how much joy this brings to the community - love seeing you guys just talk amongst yourselves!!
Gabby, fellow cyster here, and i can TOTALLY hear how bloody awful having PCOS is. It affects SO MUCH in a sufferers life. It's almost impossible to successfully maintain a "normal" BMI, because so many things are working against you. I was diagnosed at 16, and my weight has see-sawed continuously as i've grown up. (i'm 36 now). I've been smaller, i've been larger, it's a pain in the arse. I have so much respect for anyone who deals with all these issues. Thank you for sharing yours with us, more awareness is always great to see. (sorry for the ramble, i'm neurodivergent and keeping the train on the tracks is difficult). From one cyster to another, thankyou. You're awesome, as is the rest of the gang.
I love your content, you always make me smile when i'm having my down days.
I've always thought that nick is a highly intelligence rat who can speak English behind the camera! But I didn't expect him to be a beautiful human being!
He kinda looks like a cartoon version of some animal very personified nose but otherwise very attractive. To be fair they all look quite good in their own goofy ways
It's probably a ratatouille where a rat is controlling the brain.
@@painfallI choose to think it’s like gravity falls, just a few dozen rats chilling in a fake body
Nick somehow looks exactly how I pictured him
I was expecting dreadlocks
I didn't really expected him to be blonde, I expected something like Jake
Nick's pretty hot tbh lol
Whatever, this doesnt work does it? Unless Matt comes back the vids are ok time-wasting?
@0INFERNO1 kinda racist ngl
I am usually the person who’s sarcastically saying things like “Damn, Alex does look like the type of person to piss in the pool”, but Nick, I just have to say, the little wave you did at the end of the video was absolutely adorable!
This is the first time i've listened/watched a podcast, and i'm instantly hooked. I've been following you guys for about three years at this point on the main channel, and you've brought me countless hours of joy. Started with this podcast episode this morning, and have since binge watched 5 out of the current 6 (newer ones). I am looking forward to hopefully many more podcasts to come from all of you, cheers from the Netherlands.
I love that everyone's mics are their subtitle colors ❤
10 years “off the rails” post high school, I feel ya Gabby. Last 5 yrs building myself up, thanks for the content guys.
Had such a blast watching this! Lost count of how many times I burst out with full blown belly laughs, you guys are great!!
Lookin good nick 👌
Gabbz, that heckin dent in your wall REE
elis, those snake bites mhmm...
Cath, hair bunz lookin cute 👍
Jonk... just keep jonkin it up
Yall made my morning bearable, thanks for doing what you do.
Hope everyone is doing well.
Everything went to shit for me today thanks so much for reving the podcast you guys are the best!
Keep up the great work WPE, editors and mods
cath listing off her conditions was like those old ads of crème or pills that help with something but then it lists off a paragraph of side effects
Oh, the silent film thing is phenomenal, particularly if you get great musicians. We had a local thing with some of the old Douglas Fairbanks silent films and a guest organist who was amazing! He kept throwing in little riffs from popular songs and jingles to make us laugh. Always fun!
would this also count as Nick’s face reveal? because i’ve never seen Nick face cam before.
He has a public-ish instagram that has his face.
If you are only looking at YT and no other socials then yes
I hope Alex feels better soon. I sympathize with him because hay fever has been kicking my ass this year too.
I think it would be cool to have Nick on more often even when Alex does come back.
As I'm going to a concert tonight, I'm certainly looking forward to all the jackasses with their phones out. Augh.
It is so good to finally out a face to the voice regarding Nick.
Its sooo refreshing.. stumbled upon the Podcast by looking up their other Channels - immediately binged all the old uploads :').
was kinda crushed after i recognised the last upload was from past 2-3 years x.X .. So Glad u guys continue the podcast :).
Cant wait for the next "X-Taste session".
Keep it up ^-^ ! Also get well lil Goblin xD
Nick's face at the end is so cute😂😂😂
One trick I’ve tried for dealing with hay fever is to get some honey made in the local area. The idea is that the honey contains the same stuff that causes the allergic reaction and by ingesting it you can get your immune system acclimated to it. It seems to help me, though it maybe more to do with the placebo effect than anything scientific.
Ellis, the man of international mystery
As the winner of the 2006 Worst dressed goth in the Midlands area, I appreciate these awful looking Emo discussions lol
ow my god my sides hurt from ellis' reaction 32:22 and face at 32:42 and ow my god nick at 38:21 XD cath is not wrong at 1:12:28
I have a weird one, I have Aerophagia, which basically means "Air swallowing". I basically ingest a % of the air I intake and I either burp or fart a lot. The issue is, when it gets really bad, I'm basically throwing up air for hours and it's really painful. To further this, it's triggered by stress, which throwing up air causes a lot of, so it creates a positive feedback loop.
I also have ADHD, which triggers it as well, FUN TIMES!
i knew ellis was from cov and was weird everytime i heared it now i found out he lived in my hometown of leamington spa too!
This was hilarious omg this has got to be one of the best episodes. I do miss Alex, but Nick appearing with his beautiful face made up for his absence.
I'd really like to hear the WPE crew discuss the pros & cons of retro games vs modern games specifically regarding quality and accessibility. I remember the days of plug in and play which I remember fondly, no stress no complications or requirements just entertaining games and interesting stories. I still own almost every console from Sega genisis to series x and it wasn't until the xbox 360 era that quality and reliability started to become a serious issue. How can it be that my old sega genisis is STILL more reliable and more convenient than any modern console? Not to mention the fact that you cant even use a modern console without connecting it to an email and giving countless permissions and information to god knows who PLUS the countless updates and patches for nearly every modern game, I just feel that old school games were so much more enjoyable simply due to convenience, reliability and simplicity, I'd love to hear the thoughts of WPE on this topic. Thank you for bringing the podcast back!👌
With Gabby mentioning about difficulties with ADHD and university if it comes up again any chance you can shout out about DSA (Disabled Student Allowance)
It's something that not enough people know about and allows students with just about any disability be it mental health like anxiety, ADHD, bipolar etc, physical like scoliosis, amputations fibromyalgia etc, autism and so on to get equipment, software, one to one support and such provided and funded by Student Finance (unlike a student loan it isn't something that has to be paid back!). Just for any university students or soon to be university students that could be watching and could do with assistance.
There are very very few disabilities that aren't funded and they are things that aren't really disabilities like arsonist, voyeurism and so on.
Doesn't cost to apply, doesn't affect student finance applications and can be applied for part way through the course, doesn't have to be before it starts
24:41 you've got this Jake! You successfully accumulated the mass, now all you need is to shape it!
When WPE makes a podcast and shows images, it gives people listening on Spotify or something to watch the youtube video. thats not why im here btw i just like their reactions
38:00 try a toasted bagel with cream cheese dipped in that garlic and herb sauce - banging
I love how everyone in WPE has their very own, different and very pretty body features. It's very nice
38:20 Nick: "The wetter the better" 😼
36:15 In Poland, some people eat dumplings with LARD, leave that plate overnight in summer, and you don't need to find the plate in the morning, the smell will remind you what you did from multiple rooms away D:
21:33 Yup that's me, except I don't have the financial option to start another study so guess I'll finish what I'm already balls-deep into
Completely agree with you ellis, I hate sauce and my friends constantly take the piss of me too
Jake's armpits are where the hair on his head is hiding.
i really hope nick appears on the podcast some more (maybe all 6 of them)
When I was graduating year 12, I had a capstone I had to do. Either military, professional, or entrepreneur. Hated it cause in order to graduate you had to either enlist in the military, start and run a business, or go down a career path that the instructor had decided for you.
Went on my own weightloss journey (lost close to 200 pounds/90kg yay me) got lucky with myself already loving cooking. You could buy dehydrated soy and season it to make vegan chorizo and a couple different meals or meal ingredients. ( not a vegan but I used to cook for my vegan gym buddie) keep up the work love yall!
I’ve had both experiences at concerts. One person sitting beside me to my left had an iPad out taping the concert, and at an outdoor stadium shipwreck, where the sound wasn’t great ss there was nothing to bounce off, you could hear the people sitting behind talking during the acoustic parts. So very annoying.
“Shipwreck” is “show.”
Loads of support Cath. I’m another woman with a body and brain that throws error messages at will. I’m 48 now and disabled to the point of not being able to work and mostly ok with it but when I was younger it was a struggle. Got schizophrenia, a malformed uterus, spinal injury, rheumatoid arthritis etc. and I’m totally ok with not having kids but it’s not ever having the choice to be ‘normal’ that annoys me.
Right, I'm only on the part where Cath is explaining her illnesses and disabilities, and where Gabby explained PCOS, I couldn't help but smile. Not because both have different things and it's awful, but I almost have all of what Cath has, and also have PCOS. I honestly want to at least have kids and I'm trying to prepare for the possible outcome of not having any, it really pains me. Overall I have Autism, A.D.D (Attention Deficit Disorder), Dyspraxia, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD and BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder). Health-wise I have Pectus Excavatum (basically a dip in between the boobas), Raynaud's which is poor blood circulation, Fay Fever which is a huuuge BITCH!!! Finally Polycystic Ovaries (PCOS). I'm not listing all these for attention, I just feel so much better and relieved that there are people that have what I have. It honestly feels like I'm alone having all these problems. Last year I got diagnosed with PTSD and BPD, since then It's been a shitshow coping with my BPD. I love this podcast so much, and I love you all. I'm hooked on this! 💜
P.S. get well soon Alex, I understand your pain.. 😅
Nick looks amazing. Platonically
Alex is a goblin and you cannot otherwise unsee alex.
Not once in my entire life did I expect to hear the words "Condiment Whore" directed at another human being.
55:27 : Ellis, I believe the group noun for girls is a giggle, not a gaggle. Example in context : "A giggle of girls was sitting on the bench and laughing at my checkered vans"
Loving the intro graphics. Did you source a professional designer, per chance?
I love Nick! He always has the best burns on the clips. We need Devler!!!!
Yeah we need dev back lol
this podcast alone clogged my arteries
That's part of pcos the flaking hair gabby I highly highly reccomend taking the supplement ,myova, they are chunky tablets but I swear that made me feel so so much better as my pcos is chronic but it helps skin and mood so much , it's not cheap but worth every penny ❤
Why Jonk Why? Vegan? Another very good podcast. I'm glad you brought him back
I love Nick's eyebrows.
Nice to finally see the kiwi
I am the same way about sauces, there were several in my fridge that I will not touch and my fridge door was so full of them that I couldn’t even put the milk in the door. Sadly our sauce collection was lost in a power outage that lasted 3 days
I'm so sorry for your sauce I mean loss
NICK REVEAL
HES PART PF THE GANG!! KIWI AND ALL
so nice to see nick
I prefer "Insufficient area to brandish a feline in a rotating motion".
When I was around 16/17, a normal amount of drinking at a party was 1 or 2 750ml hard liquor between 30 and 40% vol and some beers.
Then again I am Danish😁
Cath, have you tried the tablets that help you digest lactose if you are lactose intolerant?! A few of my friends say they are brilliant for when they want stuff like pizza or ice cream
I don't know WHAT I thought Nick would look like - but to be honest he 100% looks exactly as he sounds. It's sort of blowing my mind - in a nice way of course.
Can we get an Alex out of context video
I have the weirdes one Im allergic to the cold. If it get lower than 40 degrees fahrenheit i start coughing. When i get to just below frezzing i start getting hives.
Nick somehow looks exactly how i did and didnt think at the same time and its confusing
I will admit i was expecting nick to have dreadlocks for some reason. And now i think about it i find Nick and Jack Sparrow quite smillar
I've actually never seen nick before now and he's pretty cute!
Nick has a nice (presumed) living room
Think you should keep Nick on the podcast too
So I'm lactose, gluten, egg (but I can eat mayo!?) and soy intolerant, I'm deathly allergic to bell peppers and I unfortunately suffer from ARFID (avoidance/restrictive food intake disorder) which causes me to struggle with taste/texture, if the food doesn't look cooked enough, isn't hot enough I can't eat it. Food is a massive struggle and it's become somewhat of an enemy. I live on certain brands of rice, spam, corned beef and cucumber. Every. Single. Day. It's a miserable experience
There's team ellis and gabby who seem to be the sensory eaters in terms of food preferences, followed by jake, cath and nick who would would have no issue with a bucket of grease. Should become a new game show :)
One thing i will say for Alex and his hayfever because i suffer quite badly with it as well, ive recently got new hayfever tablets called Treathay, apparently they are fairly new, they have really helped my hayfever, dunno if it will help him or not :)
first time i've seen nicks face, nice glasses
That pool story lol What company would do that? Tinder?
If Alex was hear he would say "my lord" with what happened in in the opening
Mayonnaise isn't the norm in the UK though? That seems to mostly be a southern England thing. it's ketchup, or salt and vinegar for chips here in the North West for the most part.
RE: the not asking people when or whether they're going to have kids.... having associated with people that turned out to have been infertile, there is no question more devastating to be asked than "oh, when are you going to have kids?" when you've been trying for years without success, or worse than that even, had one or several miscarriages... seriously, I can only emphasize what's been said on stream, that is one question that you should NEVER ask.
My partner is infertile but I've started responding to people asking by loudly saying 'no, I'm impotent' they stop after that
I absolutely love with cath's top, it's gorgeous.
Wait, these Gremlins have a podcast?
In fairness, I recorded the 4th of July fireworks for maybe 2 minutes so I could send it to someone who couldn’t be there, then shoved my phone away and watched.
Plus, while recording, I had my phone about chest level and watched over my phone.
chronic migraines for me sadly, lost a couple of jobs because of it
You know what's worse than people talking nearby you at the theatre/opera or whatever? Your own damn friend talking to you, not getting a single word in reply and still not getting the picture. Like, thanks for drawing bad attention to somebody with social anxiety. 😠
Some things ive heard that help with hay-fever is to eat local honey or your own snot (which i dont believe)
Who works as a gardener with hayfever? Me. I worked on a golf course. Also, i know of someone who is allergic to water, and was a fisherman. Commercially. It went exactly how you think it would go
Have you guys ever tried mustard mixed with mayonnaise? I love eating fish with that
less than 4 mins in and they are talking about Alex's pollinated farts, if this doesnt explain WPE i dunno what will :)
so THAT'S what Nick looks like 😄
I wouldnt say i have a chronic illness.. but knowing i have an underactive thyroid, makes things hard alot of the time. Going on tablets for the rest of my life sucks ... Being 22 i understand i cant help with what i have wrong with me.. I say well challenges come and go .. at least there is a finish line.
hopefully this might help. when me and my dog came over from NZ in pandemic 2020. i was fine because i grew up in England but pups had horrible running nose and itchy hay fever . we gave him English honey with a kids antihistamine morning and night as the vet recommended for the entire summer and for a bit in spring 2021 and he's been fine since . my friend and the vet said it was because he grew up in nz and wasn't used to UK pollen hence the reaction, which is why the expensive UK honey got him used to it.
scrap that, it worked for my dog when he came to the UK from NZ. But i was married to a kiwi landscaper that never fully got over hay fever when he was in his 40s (maybe i should have fed him a teaspoon of Manuka honey breakfast and dinner and antihistamine for 3 months)
My grandad went to boarding school, as well as his brother( dont know age gap, but it wasnt much). This is due to his parents working in India. This meant he didnt see them often, and when people would be sent things from home, they werent. Due to it being self catered, they were taught cooking, but didnt have the pans for it ect, so what they would both do, is sneak down to the nearby farms, and steal eggs from them, before swapping eggs for things.
Then again, they also used to use either an air rifle or a very low calibre rifle, to shoot peoples tires
just a bit different to normal upbringing
Also nick and me both have clear frame glasses
OMG NICK LOOKS HANDSOME🥰
I've always been curious about mouth/lip piercings. Since you(ellis) and cath both have piercings on your lips, do you sometimes get them hooked into each other when u give eachother like a goodbye/welcome home kiss?
So, when is the new 'Ellis's Special Sauses'-club start?
I've never seen Nick Irl, I though Alex lost a lot of weight, and got happier since the last time I saw him on screen on the main channel months ago
Andrew lloyd webber didnt write hamilton ....it was lin manuel miranda
