Well I'll give an update on the board now that it's been running for a little while inside the bias there is four or five settings on the chipset the M2 slots PCI Express slots selecting between gen 1 2 3 4 if you don't go in and change each option to run that specific piece of hardware then you have all kinds of problems I did manage to get my sound card to work but I had to fork up the Wi-Fi because it won't do both I managed to get three hard drives and three and two drives one of my M2 drives is a PCI Express 4 * 4 and it was sucking up so much resources that I had to actually take it out and put it in an external sleeve and run it off the USBC to get basically almost full speed out of it The thermals I'm not having any issues at all with the thermals the board runs nice and cool I am using an older PCI Express 3.0 video card I'm running three serial ATA 6 GB per second drives I'm running three and two drives two of them PCI Express 4 * 4 and one of them is a PCI Express 3 and I seem to be able to run all of it with no problems but I do noticed a couple of quirks in the bias that when you first turn the machine on I get a d6 display on the debugging LED and sometimes it'll sit on that and I'll have to shut the power supply off and then return the power supply on and then boot the machine up and sometimes it goes right by it but why it does that is beyond me it's got something to do with the detection of the PCI Express Jen's whether it's detecting gen 3 or 4 or 2 whatever the case may be I'm able to game on it fully it did bring out the best in my 980 TI card which I'm using an EVGA 980 TI classified card with a custom bias in it the card is a bee still I don't have to upgrade every game I play from war zone to New world all these games I run maximum settings at 2560 x 1440p my monitor is an MSI mag 321 c q r 144 HZ freesync monitor the board seems to be running I would say 95% I think most of my issues is the fact that my video card is older and it doesn't like the fact that it doesn't have a PCI Express 4.0 PCI Express card I am going to eventually buy a 7900 XTX card because I believe it is kind of time for one other than that I hated the board at first but now I don't mind the board it's it's running good and it's pretty solid the components on the board is nice the PCB is beautiful you can see the quality of the components I mean I've trusted MSI for Jesus 20 years I choose them over an Asus product because I've had bad bad things happen to me with Jesus boards from memory slots melting to PCI Express slots ripping off the board random stuff like that I am not happy with so I won't purchase Asus products as far as motherboards. But as far as this board goes MSI didn't have a megase to give me back when I already made my megase and I figured the ace Max was an upgraded version of the board which I was wrong in some ways it is but in most ways it isn't if I had my choice I would give it back to them MSI offered me a $310 check in place of my megase which I refused because I paid $399 for my magazines which I would have had to add $90 to replace it which I think would have been wrong cuz I paid for in the beginning so after a month of battling with them having my bored in RMA I told them to just send me the ace Max and they actually didn't have that board to send me so they actually went on Amazon purchase the board and sent it to me which I was grateful for they told me I was the one in a million customers that they actually did that for because they will not purchase a product for a customer and send it to them but they had no choice because I purchased their product. According to MSI because their boards are so high-end or at least on the high end side of the boards the god like the mega Ace etc boards on the high end side they only make 100 replacement boards for rma's which to me is off the hook because you're selling millions of these boards to every country in the world and I don't believe only a hundred of them will either be defective or break somewhere down the line within the warranty that they only made 100 replacement boards that's pretty confident in the defect ratio or you know the products that in the middle of you know the warranty timeline which is 3 years that they would only make 100 replacement boards so if you are remain your bored after x amount of time chances are they've already gone through the hundred boards and don't have a board to replace your board with if it fails or burns out while it's on the warranty so now you have to wait for MSI to get a hold of these boards and refurbish them to send them back out to the company to send it back out to the people who run into issues with either failed boards or defective boards etc it's a horrible policy I don't believe in it I think they should make 10,000 boards to be replaced with defective boards and you know boards that fail down the line within the warranty 100 boards just doesn't sound right to me but according to them that's what they said they only make a hundred replacement boards now I've had to RMA my make a twice both times I've waited a long time for the board to come in the first time the board came physically broken the overclocked genie knob was broke right off the board the second time the board was Dead on arrival both times in between I've waited over three weeks for the board to be replaced the final time was they just didn't have a board to replace my board with so that's how I ended up with this ace max I'm sorry if there's any typos I'm actually speaking to my phone and we all know they're not smart as they call them smartphones I hope my post helps people I'm not knocking MSI in any way possible because I love MSI I love their products I've been a faithful customer of them for 20 years I will always buy their products when it comes to motherboards and video cards I only buy the the top of the line boards in this case I didn't buy a godlike board because I don't believe in paying $1,200 for a motherboard so I'll go with a $400 ace Max or meg ace
Just curious: did you end up resolving your issues with this board? Can you elaborate on the issues you're having? Your comment alone has me a bit worried about stability.
It's astounding how much this offers for the price compared to other X570, or even x570s boards. Even the Dark Hero doesn't have as many slots, lanes, or IO compared to this. It's rather shocking.

As a content creator not having the 10G LAN port is a deal breaker for me. I would rather buy this board: ASUS ProArt X570-Creator WiFi AMD X570S Ryzen AM4 ATX Content Creation Motherboard.
"Ryzen chips for the 5000 series are now dropping in value"... 20% drop in price over the last couple of months, with the January sales could get a real bargain and upgrade from my 2600X.
Why purchase this motherboard when you could get a MSI Z690 Pro, Tomahawk or Edge DDR4 board and save yourself $100? If you're spending $500+ for a new high end motherboard don't you think it should include thunderbolt and 10gb ethernet? I don't need to spend that kind of money for a few more M.2 slots and USB 2.0 ports.
That’s assuming you’re running the latest Intel processor of course if you want to upgrade to ddr5, you would also need to upgrade to a much more expensive board.
3 M.2 slots already take from the 16x from the GPU... so basically it's just ripping speed from more important components... it's just a mess and i can't recommend anything having more than two 4.0 M.2 slots !
This looks awesome but I need more RAM for After Effects working at 4k. What motherboards support 256 GB RAM or more with these features? I am currently running an Asus WS/C422 Sage/10G workstation motherboard for that reason.
I'll be glad when motherboards get to the point where if there is something on the board, it is yours, using it won't steal away something on the board just because you used it. As it is now you if use an M.2 you lose a Sata port or two, or a PCIe slot. It's very misleading plus it's difficult to figure out what you really have at your disposal. I don't know why they put M.2 sockets when they can just give you a card to put in a slot. If you use a socket, it make sthe slot useles so it's the same thing.
man I dont care having less space between the cpu and ram sockets. "TRUE HIGHENDERS OF ORIGIN SPIRIT" who use high performance custom watercooling do have their own rules of power and size.. wouldnt be the spirit of highenders otherwise ;)

@@XlegendsX71 Holy crap! Lol. Thank you so much for the info! It's nice to hear someone with real-world experience give their story.
I think you have bad experience, or get bad one...
So you say not take this one?
Sick mobo!! I have an MSI B550 Unify with 4 M.2 slots and it's amazing. Never ever have to use SATA again!!
I'm actually trying to decide between this one and the B550 Unify x
It's astounding how much this offers for the price compared to other X570, or even x570s boards.
Even the Dark Hero doesn't have as many slots, lanes, or IO compared to this. It's rather shocking.
I'm about to return the dark hero and probably get this MB. Having serious issues with random reboot with this board. I switched the gpu, ram same problem. No q-led post code.
@@burak9639 I ended up getting this MB no problem with sound which sounds great. My random restart issue wasn't even the dark hero problem It was my PC case reset switch was the problem.
@@burak9639 in some ways yes. And it's all about what is important to you in your build. You can compare these MB online.
but!! Read the block diagram. Having 6 pcie takes away other features from the board
HDMI?
i'm disappointed that they didn't include sli bridge
Crazy that how touch chip on mb, i wouldn't touch them like that😂
As a content creator not having the 10G LAN port is a deal breaker for me. I would rather buy this board: ASUS ProArt X570-Creator WiFi AMD X570S Ryzen AM4 ATX Content Creation Motherboard.
I would very much like to agree with you!
What's the point of so many pcie slots when only 20 pcie lanes are available out of 24 after 4 of them have gone to the chipset. Pointless.
Wow i have this for gaming
"Ryzen chips for the 5000 series are now dropping in value"... 20% drop in price over the last couple of months, with the January sales could get a real bargain and upgrade from my 2600X.
Exactly ;)
Got a Ryzen 7 5800X3D today for $419 USD. Also purchased this motherboard
I Am Gonna Purchase It
Why purchase this motherboard when you could get a MSI Z690 Pro, Tomahawk or Edge DDR4 board and save yourself $100? If you're spending $500+ for a new high end motherboard don't you think it should include thunderbolt and 10gb ethernet? I don't need to spend that kind of money for a few more M.2 slots and USB 2.0 ports.
Yeah, plus with the newest Intel CPU it makes a lot of sense.
The world of PC is super relative…
That’s assuming you’re running the latest Intel processor of course if you want to upgrade to ddr5, you would also need to upgrade to a much more expensive board.
3 M.2 slots already take from the 16x from the GPU... so basically it's just ripping speed from more important components... it's just a mess and i can't recommend anything having more than two 4.0 M.2 slots !
There isn’t a GPU out that needs pcie-4.
aqui no brasil custa 4.500 reais cara em
This looks awesome but I need more RAM for After Effects working at 4k. What motherboards support 256 GB RAM or more with these features? I am currently running an Asus WS/C422 Sage/10G workstation motherboard for that reason.
Asus wrx80 sage WiFi
@@theTechNotice THANK YOU! Is there an Intel CPU equivalent?
I'll be glad when motherboards get to the point where if there is something on the board, it is yours, using it won't steal away something on the board just because you used it. As it is now you if use an M.2 you lose a Sata port or two, or a PCIe slot. It's very misleading plus it's difficult to figure out what you really have at your disposal. I don't know why they put M.2 sockets when they can just give you a card to put in a slot. If you use a socket, it make sthe slot useles so it's the same thing.
I guess it's called threadripper;)
Z690 boards don't have as many sacrifices when using all the available slots.
Hey 1,000th like!! 🎉🎉
Only if this motherboard had a back plate I would get it.
man I dont care having less space between the cpu and ram sockets. "TRUE HIGHENDERS OF ORIGIN SPIRIT" who use high performance custom watercooling do have their own rules of power and size.. wouldnt be the spirit of highenders otherwise ;)
Picked this up 2 days ago from Amazon, omg is this board beefy, now just waiting on my new CPU.. Too much board for a lonely Ryzen 2700x paid $365
wow! :)
aqui no Brasil e 4.500 reais uma dessa vou ter nunca e caro de mais
4 slots of nvme is not enough for me hahaha
Oh...NOW they do a premium x570
Wish there was an ITX version of this board
Damn. And I thought my meg ace with 3x m.2 was impressive...
MSI MPG X570S CARBON MAX WIFI better for me
