Start /stop feature on Jeep compass malfunction

Jeep Compass had issues with start/ stop feature. Tested both batteries (main and start stop) and found out that both batteries had 12.5 volts. Tested cranking amps on both and they were good as well. Did a hard reset ( disconnected both batteries for 10 minutes). Fault cleared and has not returned. As always continue to hit me up with any additional questions and I will do my best to answer.

If the aux battery dies would that stop the car from starting?

You have to disconnect both negative terminals on both batteries for about 5 minutes.
