I have the same issue. I dug out the pin and replaced the relay. After that I got it started and it started back to back repeatedly. But if you wait 15 minutes and try it will crank and not start. I been fighting this for 3 days. Now I have a solution to try tomorrow. Thanks a million. Will update tomorrow. I subscribed as well
Wow man this is the closest I've come to solving my own problem I think, I have a Caliber but its the same as this basically and this entire time I thought relay problems would mean that I wouldn't crank and wouldn't start but this video has shown me different. I will investigate later when I get a chance however it is also seriously cold here so I still haven't ruled out a frozen fuel line. but thank you for this.
I wonder if the same applies to a 2014 jeep patriot is starting to have hesitation before starting no clicking noise turn the key, nothing happens and then it will start on
Do u happen to have the color wire diagram for the asd. Like what color wire goes to the 30 pin on new relay, 85 and so on.i cut out my old relay box and having trouble color coding the wires I need a schematic
So im getting codes u1110 and c342d. Not sure if related.i have a jeep patriot very similar to your compass. Anyway it was shuttering before it broke down. Its not getting any spark. And now im thinking its probably the wiring to the relay like yours. Question to you is should the fuse to auto shutdown relay have power on both prongs?
Hey. I am having this same issue. I have not cut back the tape to further inspect the wire but did you put a code reader on it? I have but I am NOT getting any codes.. someone told me it could be the engine jumped timing. I hope it is not that serious.
I'm having the same problem, my back right relay broke off inside the box, which one is this? The low speed fan? Does that have anything to do with the asd?
Hey Freddie, is there a way I can contact you otherwise? I need help with my 2007 jeep compass, in a female and I'm just tired of being played by the mechanics here in Jamaica.
Hey I changed that relay wired it externally. I checked for power at those 3 fuses you mentioned and they only get power when I am actually cranking. They get 11-12 amps all of them. I also noticed when checking for spark that the spark plugs do not need to be grounded and they will spark which seems odd to me. Ive checked everything and cannot get the jeep to fire up. Any suggestions?
Just to eliminate other possibilities double check where you have voltage and where you don't and when. Also check for voltage at the injectors and check relay and relay contacts around the one you wired in. Thats where I would start
You saved a a whole pile of cash and a whole pile of heartache. Thanks for the help bruh

@@salemgraham9785 you're welcome, glad to help
My man, very thorough… thank you… yes, this is a common problem, poorly designed, should be recalled and repaired…

Good job and narration

Thanks I am having the same problem in my 2009 Jeep Patriot

I believe it is but I only when koef, definitely look at a diagram before touching them . Also make sure to mark them before you replace it
Thank you.

The only code I had was for the asd relay
Thanks
Thanks !!!
Don't just replace it. Rewire it. I cleaned mine. Replaced the fuse and it worked for a week. Had to do it allover and redo the wiring.
Exelent job
Did any codes pop up though for any of the relays? I have no codes
Hey. I am having the same issue. What was your fix??
I'm having the same problem, my back right relay broke off inside the box, which one is this? The low speed fan? Does that have anything to do with the asd?
Yes. My research shows the low speed fan relay power feed line (red wire) is jumped to the asd rely just below it with another power (red wire)

You can email me and I'll try my best to help. Email me at freddiejrsnewemail@gmail.com
Hey bud I'm having the same issue with the low speed fan relay rotted out. Can you like the wiring diagram you went off?
All I did was Google image a wire diagram of the relay I was using
Como se llama esa caja de relay para comprarla?

I can't seem to get this done it cranks but won't start
I would double check all the wires with a volt meter and also the diagram for the relay
😍
This is for the no bus code
Perfekt job at my Car imhad the Same fault
calidad
Gracias
