not for $80k plus the $15,000 mark up and its to much of. a 3 row luxury car than a off roader , as most of us off roaders, car campers overlnders ,dont want , need or will ever have a use for a 3rd row ,we want cargo space ,payload , @9:07 the 3rd row seat takes up to much cargo space when folded down
I've had my '02 Sequoia for 6 years. Can sleep in the back, roll down the rear window, same fuel mileage with the indestructible V8, still looks great and runs smooth with 360k on the clock. $4k with no car payments or depreciation to worry about.
That was one of the most Jakle & Hyde reviews I've seen in a long time. I have a 3rd gen 4runnner & a '02 Mx-5. Deferent strokes 4 different folks. I bought my stuff 4 me, not other people. There's too many people buying stuff they don't need, with money they don't have, too impress people they don't like.
I’m a current 4Runner owner and after seeing the looks of this new TRD Sequoia I was excited to get one! But upon seeing that the rear seats don’t fold flat AND the rear window no longer rolls down, it ruined it for me. Those are among two of my favorite features from my current ‘16 4Runner. I really hope they fix that in the future, because otherwise, this is an amazing vehicle!
@@entreptilesI think it’s beautiful! I do wish the back seats were a little flatter than they are, but given the hybrid option, apparently that’s what they had to do. I know it’s available without it to have a bit more space in the back, but for my next 4Runner I’d only want to do the TRD Pro and I think it’s only option is the hybrid, so here we are 🤷🏻♂️😂 Kinda like my 2016 a little more, but will be excited to get the new one once it’s time for an upgrade. Mine has 205k miles on her with lots of life left for sure!
Wow! Too bad the workin men and women who used to drive Toyotas for decades can't afford them anymore. Even if you put like half down on it, your interest rate will ensure your payment is well over $1000 per month. Not to mention the fuel costs and property taxes. By the way, you can get a Subaru Crosstrek for $28K that can handle 90% of what this truck can.
A Subaru Crosstrek can't even do half of what this will do, don't compare a unibody chassis to a ladder frame chassis, in a difficult obstacle the Crosstrek will require a lot of effort and thinking to scale through, but the Toyota will require less effort due to its ladder frame architecture
@@Ficonhaha, you must drive a Chrysler product that feels SO “expensive” I bet it is expensive when it breaks down 4x a year. Cheap Toyota lol. Their vehicles are statistically overbuilt. What a moron
@@Investor_philips 90% dude, 90%. But I know. Look, you want to take your $80K truck doing the extra 10%? Most will regret it. You know what a Subaru can do that the Toyota Sequoia can’t? Get 500 mile range on one tank of gas and keep one out of bankruptcy court. I own a 21 4Runner TRDORP so just being real. I actually love Toyota but the cost are just getting out of hand. Eff um’.
I guess I don’t get this whole video or the “humor”. It doesn’t take much to spec out less capable SUVs for $80k…go to your local Starbucks, Home Depot, or shopping mall, and the parking lots are full of pickups and crossovers that are north of $80k, and not as capable.
Toyota is about to lose customers. Replacing a V8 with hybrid and batteries that doesn't get better mileage is a terrible idea. They're doing the same thing with Tacoma and 4runner, albeit with the classic V6. No one wants to lose their reliable Toyota motor to a bunch of batteries.
I understand what your saying! But you pay for their reliable that's their whole thing which has been in most cases true with their older vehicles. But 80 grand for a suv is impossible for the general population
Maybe it's me but 20mpg in a proper offroader is great, especially considering the size. While 80k is a lot of queso, this is built to off-road. You can always get a standard sequoia
When did they say that.. what are you smoking? They never said that They just introduced the Tundra with the new Hybrid 6. They don’t develop brand new engine generations and then throw them out.
Could you see yourself behind the wheel of the new Sequoia? 🤔

Just got to worry about those ball joints and rear hatch handle 😂
Not the same, gas mileage on my new platinum is 19.7mpg
My old 2010 tundra was giving 12mpg real world

Twice the cost is also tough to swallow. Plus dealers are marking them up heavily.
How do you like the newly released 4Runner?
@@lorenzosoriceyeah but that’s to be expected unfortunately in this day and age.

Ok best car review ever. The sarcasm, the skits, the comments and the realism. I love it!

I'll pass on the price. Can't justify $80k+
Sad part is there are people who will spend outrageous amounts of money for this vehicle.

Give this reviewer a raise 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 great car. Toyota arw on anothwr level nowaydays 🤩
Great review! Love the energy. The car? Who is this for?
An alternative choice for a soccer mom. Between this and a Suburban.
Well done, the video that is. Funny, informative. Ya but about the Sequoia. True that most people who by those won't use it to its fullest.
Love this review format! Keep em coming! 😊
Really confusing review. The verdict completely contradicts most of the video.
It’s worth every penny!!!
Not being able to sleep in the back as a bummer
80k is just... excessive.
Well you know they make the SR5 sequoia for $20-30k less… 80k is only for the TRD PRO
Soccer moms are going to love it
A new Sequoia limited back in 2001 was $42k. Adjusted for inflation, that’s about $75k.
From that perspective, $80k for this doesn’t seem so bad…
I would 100% buy a new Sequoia as a permanent keeper. They price it 20k to much.
I love Toyota ❤❤❤
So happy to have purchased my 2022 4runner TRD Pro, before everything jumped out of range.
@@WineHouse33 right
80k big fail for Toyota
Get an SR5 or Limited $20-30k less… you don’t have to get the second highest most expensive trim they make… just saying 🤷🏽
Im glad i bought the last of the 2021 Land Cruiser brand new, i won't look back anymore.
best review
We have one and love it. If you aren’t a fan don’t buy one… 😬
I got whiplash watching this video.
Finally a good road test editor.
I like the flip up rear window, more then a sliding one, it's like an awning
Alabama Hills?
Soooo Timely, 2024’s are already out……
Been there, love that place
90 percent of people that would buy this will be pave road warriors. Will never see it off road.
You guys didn’t put the off-road capability to any test here lol driving it on dirt showed nothing.
would've been nice to see true off-roading...similar to TFL
Its worth more than 80K
Fred should've tested this
The price😂 they use to love
The price is ridiculous. It's unattainable to the main target audience. Toyota you've got this wrong.
This is unhinged

Toyota has been making hybrids for almost 30 years. The first Prius was sold in Japan in 1997.

They are going down a better road than the EV road. Still tons of torque, dependable and no need to plug in like an appliance.
Bro Yoy remind me of varrick from legend of korra
Why is the guy hanging on the rack
No one wished my birthday today😔
This was the most annoying obnoxious review I’ve EVER SEEN!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
When Toyota takes it away from America than than you all will be asking for Toyota to bring it back... It is Worth more than $80k
Yeah missed the mark with the back window
Wow this was obnoxious
Just another soccermom SUV
Toyota said they won't make 6 cylinders no more.....guess not...
When did they say that.. what are you smoking? They never said that

$20K overpriced. 3rd row is useless.
