Please let it be known that I figured out the answer to the question that I had in the video so no need to comment or provide the answer anymore. I figured it out right after I made the video. Thanks for all who provided their input.
You actually can pitch without affecting the tempo. You have to change your sample to an audio module. To do that just go to the sample page and click the jog wheel. From there you will have the option to change it to audio. Once you do that you should be able to change the temp of your project and the sample will follow!
AHHH!!! That's right. I am not sure why I always forget about the ability to change it to an audio module! Appreciate the reminder and thank you for checking out the video.
Yes this works. But in audio mode there is no possibility to chop the sample. If I go to the sampling section it switches back to sampler mode. Or is there a way to get this working?
@@madmaxtutorial1171 And this is why I use serato sample. I just dont understand why Audio and Sample modes have not been merged, its so frustrating and makes no sense.
@@madmaxtutorial1171 you could just resample it internally and then chop. So Sampler, audio, record, sampler 😂😂 ... I’d go with serato myself; they should integrate
@@jkq2006 totally agree bro. I'm so glad I invested in Serato Sample because the Maschine sampler was just so annoying to use.
Hit SELECT and ALL at the top right of the MASCHINE to select and affect all pads when trying to adjust choke groups but remember to Hit SELECT again and NONE if you don't wan't it to keep affecting all the pads for any further settings you use.
Appreciate the tip!
Hey. To select multiple pads - hit SELECT and ALL - you don't need to go one by one to set legato to 1...
Awesome, thanks for the tip!!!! Much appreciated! Thanks for tuning in.
Thank you
Thanks..
This is so fun!! Thanks for asking the question Jack!!
In the stretch option you can change the pitch with out effecting time. Also instead of turning the knob to silence the sample. You can hit shift+mute to choke the sounds playing
Aye thanks for the tips! I've learned that Maschine offers different ways of doing things. I appreciate that and will incorporate that next time so I don't have to turn the knob LOL!
I watched the entire 30 mins cause i appreciate you sharing your tips and how humble you present yourself. These were great tips by the way!
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch! It is greatly appreciated! I hope to do more tips in the future!
Jeff Gibbons has all the Maschine sauce as far as RUclips goes. Pro tip. Always load a loop..then extract it as a wav to a different sound slot. Tempo information gets embedded that way.
Yup Jeff is a great guy who gives great info!
Wow, it seems you are good at explaining things! I really struggle even with the basics but I firmly believe, that one day I will learn how to use my Maschine!
It definitely takes time as with anything as there is a lot that the Maschine can do.
I love the way this dude breaks stuff down, took me forever to find this channel, again !
Glad you enjoy it! Definitely appreciate you tuning in. I am thinking of doing more Maschine videos so stay tuned!
Probably the most intuative MK3 video - thanks dude
I super appreciate that for real! Thank you for checking out the channel and video.
@@WeCreateMusicTV I wrote a track on the back of it ;) big thanks
To keep the strech, transform to audio, strech and retrun to sampler. Literrally 2 clic and 1 scroll ! Thanks for the video guy !
Oh and don’t forget shift+mute to silence the sample !
amazing video. Thanks!
Glad you liked it! thanks for checking it out!

Thanks for the video, always learning with my mashine ✌️
You bet! Yes same for me! There are so many things you can do with Maschine!
Great video, I am really hoping to get the Maschine Mk3 soon, thanks for the tips, Peace
For sure!! Thanks and much appreciated. The Maschine is a beast!!! learning it is great!
B. Vaughan thank you so much for Sampling guide on maschine mk3 :)
My pleasure! Appreciate you stopping by and checking out the video!!!
Great video, well explained, learned so much. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for tuning in!! Greatly appreciated!
If you want to repitch it, you can either use stretch, or change the pad to audio, make it the tempo you want, and then grab the waveform icon and drag it to a pad, and allow Maschine to re-enter the sample at the new BPM while maintaining the original pitch. Also, holding shift+mute will stop all samples from playing.
Yup thanks I had already figured it out.
Appreciate you tuning in and providing feedback.
Great video 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Appreciate it! Thank you!
like your calm way to teach.
Much appreciated!
This was very helpful.
I’m so glad it was. Greatly appreciate you check this video out. Sub is you haven’t already!

Thanks for subbing! I greatly appreciate it.
Thank you Sir
Appreciate you stopping by.
Yes it is amazing I have one too
Yeah Maschine is awesome! I love it for creating music. And I love the expansion packs it comes with.
The duplicate option is great for turning samples that aren't in 4/4 signature into a usable loop
For sure.
muy bueno el video
muchas gracias!!!!!!!!!
You can do it collectively if you hold down the group button while changing the value.
Thanks. Appreciate it and big thanks for subscribing!
If you want to change the polyphony on all the chops at once just hold select and tap All on the left side of the right screen before you apply the slices the new group!!!!
Thanks for the helpful tip!
I am new to maschine as well but think that if you go into adsr mode that you can tune up the sample without speeding it up.
Edit* or, sound module as is explained below.
Yup thanks
Slowly Man, Slowly, you don't wanna something jumps, hehehe great tutorial
Much appreciated!! Thanks for stopping by!
thnx
You're welcome! Thanks for tuning in!
Not a maschine user but wanted to try again after 5 years but will most likely send back I'm a die hard MPC user but trying something
I just recently picked up an MPC One and I wanted to give it a try and see some of the difference between Maschine and the MPC.
kissing my love bill withers? is that the sample from your first lesson on looping haha… just found it crate digging
Awesome!
instead of choke group, you can just use gate or the adsr, (just don't use one-shot).
Thanks.
Nice video
Thank you! Greatly appreciated! Thanks for the sub!
No problem bro

That's awesome! Glad to have you here! Thanks for subscribing!
Another way to change a value (ie - polyphony) of multiple chops; just continuing holding the knob after selecting a value and hit the other pads. The value will be changed for each pad you hit.
Cool
I can't find the voice settings to set the polymphony to one. Can anyone tell me a easy way to find it? I hit plug in sampling and the voice settings are just not showing up on my machine.
Hey J Will. After you load up a kit, under the sound option for each pad, you will see the voice settings for polyphony. If you can't see it, you may need to use the arrows to get back top the first page. Hope that helps?
I like your video it's helpful, but I have a question I hit a speed bump while sampling. Ive loaded the sample already the playback sounds normal but when I press the slice button and play the sample it's significantly louder than the original! Why is it not playing back at the same decibels as the originals what perimeters do I need to adjust to fix this issue?
Sorry for the late reply. I hope you were able to figure it out?
For me Maschine sampling technique is to record modular than with that material I use start position added to MOD strip and it impossible things happen
Here's something I can't seem to find an easy way to do though - go into a sample, select a certain part of it (say, an overly loud horn in a loop for instance) - and adjust the volume or even EQ of just that part of the wav.
I feel like I must be missing something...
Yeah you aren't able to do that in the way that you're describing. You'd have to put them on separate pads and then chop and edit that section on it's own pad.
@@WeCreateMusicTV Gah. I know there's ways around it but sometimes I do wish you could do it as simply as that. Can't understand why there isn't a volume adjustment over the highlighted area of the wav. And a mono conversion for stereo samples too! This is *proper basics* NI 😅
thanks for the video do you have an email to contact you i just recently brought it still having issues with the sampling

great video, but pls crank up the volume a notch or 2. much love
Ok, thought the volume was fine...
Wouldn’t it be easier and more accurate to use the slice feature?
Not sure, try it and let me know.
Way easier and way more fun on the Mpc live 2.
Thanks for watching the video! I appreciate your opinion.
you can mute the sound by hitting shift+mute on your MK3 and the
Yes I know. Thanks.
Peace
What is your favorite sampling technique in Maschine?
How are u loading ur samples?
@@RichPLF Directly from the Maschine browser. They either come from my own sample stash or from a maschine kit. I can either choose to load them in as an audio module or in a sampler.
Has anyone discovered a way of amplifying or cutting a selected range ?? It seems to me that this is something sorely missing in the slice editing. I do not want to normalize. This doesn't work for subtle audio workflow.
BTW I would like to be able to select the actual gain I want (like 0.95x or 1.21x etc)
I am not sure if what you're asking is actually doable. I'd have to research and find out if you can even do that. The cutting out of a section you can do but I don't think you can amplify a certain section independently. Let me play around with it though and see.
@@WeCreateMusicTV Thanks. I've not found anywhere where I can get this functionality and it's definitely on oversight by NI if you can't.
Yeah just apply a gain plug in and boost it a bit
@@hieroglyphicproductions9055 Can you do that from a specific start time to a specific end time ? Which gain plug-in works ?
Please ! Translater for portuguese! 🙏🙏
Ngl I had to look up truncate lol
:):):) and then it becomes a great tool to use.
"Didn't know" - Yeah......
If you want to stop a sound playing as a oneshot, pressing shift and mute will also work.
Yeah I appreciate that. Someone else mentioned the same thing. I completely forgot about chocking the sound instead of turning the knob LOL! Thanks again.
@@WeCreateMusicTV lool it was funny though
@@bigbadradio7089 LOL LOL
Ah 🤘 Wondered how to do this..⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thanks 🙏
